Subject: Sitting Alone in the Dark Sat Jul 05, 2014 11:57 pm
In the very corner of the mess hall sat a girl, her hair dark as ravens feathers, her eyes the brightest green, like burning acid. Unlike the rest of her siblings she was well-kept and preferred to be alone. Sitting there quietly, ignoring the company of her cabin and ate peacefully blocking out the excess noise. She ate a plain lunch and wore bland black clothing. Nothing that would draw any attention to herself, that's how she liked it. Two beautiful speckled cats sat perched at her feet, spines erect and ears perked, she reached down and stroked the cat to her left. She believed they we're sacred beasts birthed from the heavens themselves. Quite religious the girl was, her belief of bad luck was strong and she took it quite seriously. "Here you go.." She said slipping her pets a chunk of roasted turkey from her tray. Her plate still full, she hadn't bothered offering any food into the fire. "No need for that, not like that ungrateful woman deserves it anyway." She spoke, seeming to be talking to herself.

Fey sat in the mess hall, quietly peering at the other campers as they took their spots with their food at the various tables. No one really followed the rule of sitting with your own cabin anymore, they were basically one cohesive family with strange powers. He was one of the first people here, and no one came to sit with him until the girl did. She didn’t notice him, as Sebastian was well concealed by the shadows of the corner, and he didn’t move or talk to her. Social skills weren’t one of Fey’s strong suits, or at least, he didn’t think it was. The boy observed that the girl had some cats, and he watched as she fed some of the food to her cats, and then spoke to herself. Sebastian took it upon himself to either A) Freak the girl out or B) Mess with her mind a little. Either way it would be fun for him. He leaned foreword, out of the shadows, with a devilishly handsome smile on his face. “You know,” Fey said, resting his head on one hand and looking into the girl’s green eyes. “I heard bad things happen to campers who bad mouth their parents.” He chuckled a little, knowing that it was only partly true. It depended if you mother or father was a jealous, vengeful, or conceited god or goddess. Sebastian knew that Morpheus could care less, whereas Aphrodite demanded offerings. But he wasn't going to tell this strange girl with the cats that.

She jumped slightly started, not realizing someone had been sitting next to her. Cocking her head to the side, Aricia's hair slid over her shoulder. Twisting around to look at him she gave him a rather interesting look, not angry, not disturbed, but rather curious. Ari was usually very shy and in some cases would've ignored him but this conversation though, involved her mother. That's how he messed up, she was rather sensitive about the subject and didn't particularly like mentioning that cruel woman. "Is that so?" Those first words rolled off her tongue clearly. "Well than, I also heard that nosey campers who butt into others business get they're mouths sewn shut." That had sounded a little more brutal than she'd meant it but it got the point across. "What I say about my mother is my business not yours. I can say what I'd like and she can't do anymore to me than she already has." With that being said she turned away and picked up a fork, deciding to eat her lunch. She was surprised anyone had bother to say anything to her, it was unusual since everyone figured she was either bad luck or just incredibly odd. Either way she didn't mind the lack of attention and was use to the silence by now. That's how it was suppose to be for the children of Nemesis, right?

Fey laughed at the ridiculous girl. He’d been threatened so many times, and with worse things than what she had said, that nothing really bothered him anymore. He crossed his arms over his chest, and raised an eyebrow, smiling because there was no way in hell he was going to give in to this chick. “With that logic, I’d have stitches so thick across my mouth, my white smile would be black. Sorry lady, that is just simply not true. Why not make a better, more factual comeback next time?” Fey wasn’t really offended that the girl fought back; on the contrary, he was happy. It had been a while since he’d had an argument and his very core ached for a fight for him to win. Sebastian could win any fight, especially something as stupid as this. The child of Morpheus laughed again, coldness creeping into his voice. Obviously he had been here more than the girl had. “No no no, see that’s where you’re wrong. Mommy dearest can make your life a living hell if you don’t give her something.” Fey watched as the girl went back to eating lunch, and so he nosily drummed his fingers on the wooden table, whistling Metallica under his breath, knowing that usually people hated this kind of stuff. That was what Sebastian was put on this earth to do; Annoy the crap out of people and get kicks from doing it.

Aricia Ekdikissi
Daughter of Nemesis
Ari scoffed, finding this rather amusing. "She's going to make my life a living hell? Don't act as if you even know what hell is, cause I'm pretty sure you don't."
Saying that she turned making eye-contact. Her eyes bore into Sebastian's, they we're surprisingly ice-cold but also lively and determined. "Your futile attempts to annoy me have only proven a waste both yours and my time. The fact of you even trying is more infuriating than your personality itself." Aricia turned suddenly glaring at her tray with distaste no longer feeling hungry, arising to her feet, she collected her lunch which had been barely touched at all. "Thank you for making this lunch 10x more interesting, but now I have somewhere to be."
Ari clicked her tongue calling for her companions, the felines swiftly trotted after the dark haired girl. The charms on they're collars clinked together with every paw-step. Without any further words of parting, Aricia walked down the various rows of tables until she'd reached the front steps of the mess hall, a mysterious aurora lingering behind her.
