Cambley bounded through the doors of her cabin, her red hair bouncing and trailing behind her as her eyes quickly scanned the area. She was looking for her newphew—more specifically her best friend. Finnegan. He wasn't really even her nephew, he was more like her half-nephew, which was hardly even related when you thought about it, but that's besides the point. Cambley was constantly itching to hang out with her friends, and Finnegan happened to always be at the top of her list. He was one of her favorite people ever, and just the person the fiesty red head needed to eliminate her boredom.

Plus he seemed to usually go along with her crazy schemes, when most people would laugh at her for having them, and he was just as into the girl's intellegent rambling as she was. There was no better match for a pair of best friends than the two Athenians.

"Finny!" Cambley shouted, smiling as she rounded the corner, looking for the boy's bunk. She didn't shout around many people, but she sure as hell shouted around Finnegan. She wasn't sure what it was about the quiet boy that brought out the lion in her, but she was comfortable making a complete fool of herself in front of him. Cambley wasn't always like this, all energetic and happy, but for whatever reason, today she was overly hyper and smiley. Sitting on her own bunk and waiting for her friend to answer her call, Cambley sighed and rested her head against the wall. It'd been a while since they last hung out, and she was finally about to stop suffering from seperation anxiety.

Finnegan sits in the far back corner of the Athena cabin, his head drooping down and buried in an encyclopedia. For about the ten millionth time, he had fallen asleep reading. A trickle of drool trails from his mouth to his cheek. He is jolted awake, by the sound of someone yelling his name. Letting out a sigh, Finnegan stretches out and looks around. Damn it, he'd fallen asleep reading again. Slowly standing up, he puts the encyclopedia back in it's proper place.

Covering his ears, Finnegan walks out from behind the shelves. As he walks past his aunts and uncles, he receives several glares and various objects are thrown at him. Ignoring the glares, and dodging the objects his makes his way to the source of the yelling, Cambley. He plops down on her bunk, and with a small smile he turns to face his best friend.

"Geez Cam, loud much? I think you woke up the whole cabin"he says to his best friend. He then leans back against one of the bed pole things. He smiles lightly and looks over at Cambley. They might seem like an odd pair, but that is why they make such good friends. The loud schemer and the quiet nerd, not exactly a match. Yet they are best friends, constantly getting into trouble. "Is there a reason you choose to wake me up?"he asks her.

Cambley nuzzled closer to Finnegan once he sat down, returning his small smile with a huge one of her own. "It's 9 o'clock. They'll live." Cambley winked and leaned comfortably against Finnegan. Just observing them, you would have a hard time believing there was nothing romantic between them. Cambley had always felt the almost undeniable chemistry, but imaging dating Finn was like imaging dating your brother, or, more accurately, your nephew.

"You sound like a hermit, Finn. Come on, I woke you up because we need to do something stupid together. You and me." Cambley leaned away so she could observe Finnegan's reaction. "And because you're my best friend and you're going to have to deal with it." The red head jabbed at her best friend's rib cage and giggled as quietly as she could. "Is that your only reaction? No 'I missed you, Cambley, how long has it been? At least a week?' No 'It's good to see you so entergetic, Cammie?' No 'You look beautiful like usual, I worship the ground you walk on, and thank you for waking me up to see your picturesque features, it's been way too long and I was suffering from withdrawls?' You're lame." Cambley poked Finnegan again and wrapped her arms around his waist, smiling to herself.

Finn rolls his eyes and looks over at his redheaded friend. "Well I won't live, I'm tired. I feel asleep reading again"he says to her. She would know what he means, he does it a lot. He then reaches up and rubs his eyes, seeing if it will help him stay awake. Feeling his stomach growl, he puts a hand over it. "Before we do anything, I need food"he says to her. "Maybe I want to be a hermit"he shoots back at her, jokingly. Honestly the idea of being a hermit scares the brunette.

"Oh yay, doing something stupid! How fun!"he says sarcastically. He's just joking though, Finn very much enjoys doing stupid things with his best friend. If it wasn't for Cambley, he would be the loser who stays in his cabin all day, training for Jeopardy. He would be the pale kid who burns whenever he steps outside. Fortunately for him, he has Cambley, and she will never let that happen to him, he knows that's a fact.

Hearing her next sentences, he reaches up and scratches his head. Has it really been that long? It doesn't seem like it. Then again, he is very bad at keeping track of time. If he thinks about it he once missed a few days, because he had gotten busy and he didn't realize when the days had passed. "Yes thank you for waking me up to see your picturesque features. It's been way too long and I was suffering from withdrawls"he says, repeating exactly what she just said.

Finn then scoots across the bunk, she he's sitting right next to her. He then sticks his arms out and wraps them around her, in a nice big hug. He stays like this a few minutes before letting his arms go. His left arm stays around her shoulders. "I've missed you Cam"he says softly, and not sarcastically this time. "What stupid thing are we going to do today?"he asks her. When asking this question, a mixture of fear and excitement run through his body. He's always rather afraid to find out what they are doing, yet he is also excited.

"Don't be so dramatic," Cambley scolds whilst ironically over-rolling her eyes. Rubbing her own stomach, the girl nods in confirmation. "We can go out for breakfast," she promises, unwilling to let her friend's appetite ruin her plans for the day. "Anything to get you outside, out of this camp." Cambley likes camp, but she does like to stretch her legs and leave ever once in a while. After being trapped in a casino for so long, being cooped up has become something of a fear for Cambley, almost as bad as spiders.

The red head smiles something huge and shrugs, knowing that she's won and that Finnegan doesn't hate her for mouthing off like usual. "Thanks Pretty Boy, I was suffering from science withdrawls. It's just not the same hearing about astronomy from anyone else." Cambley helped with tutoring around the camp for the kids who didn't go to school, and anyone with a remote interst in the stars always reminded her of Finn. The siblings who always wanted to talk about science were usually intolerable, but not Finnegan. She could listen to him talk for hours. She was captivated by her nephew's interest in the subject. It was adorable how much he loved it. Cambley was more of a math person herself, but Finn made science intersting.

Cambley let's Finn hug her, then grabbed his left wrist as it was still dangling over her shoulder. "Should I really ruin the surprise?" Smirking, she continued. "We're going into the city, we can get breakfast and then I'm taking you to a museum. You'll like it. It'll be fun." Grinning wickedly, Cambley stood up and dragged Finnegan up with her. She wasn't going to take no for an answer unless he stopped himself from being dragged. Even then she would probably still force him. No best friend of hers was going to turn into a homebody on her watch.

Finn smiles lightly and looks over at Cambley. Not that he is ever going to admit this to anyone, let alone her, but he enjoys when she does this. It gives him something to do, it gives him a life. Otherwise he would spend all of his time reading or studying for Jeopardy. He needs breaks sometimes, and Cambley gives him the chance to take breaks. It's nice, and he quite enjoys it.

"But being dramatic is fun!"he exclaims at her remark. Honestly, he can't stand drama. However he tends to act a bit dramatic around Cambley, but only when he is around her. He does it as sort of a joke, because she knows how much he hates drama. "Oh! Can we go to IHop! Please?"he says to her, with real excitement. He loves the chance to get outside of camp. But he doesn't love it as much as he loves Ihop. Something about that place, is just purely amazing to the boy.

"Well then, it seems like I should make up for all the science you missed"he says hearing her remark. "Did you know that when you live in space, you will grow taller?"he asks her, naming a random fact he'd picked up in a book he had read. Honestly the concept of space making you grow taller is fascinating to the boy. Everything about science, and space is fascinating to him.

"Oh I like museums! What type of museum are we going to?"he says to her, once again with excitement. Ihop, and a museum? Sounds like the perfect day. With that, Finn stands up and looks down at his outfit. He's wearing a pair of jeans and a camp t-shirt, that he is pretty sure he's been wearing for a couple days now. "I should change first. I think i've worn this the past two days"he says to her, with no regards to how gross that might sound. It's not like he smells, he showered, he just put the same clothes on.

Cambley laughs, wholeheartedly for once, when Finn asks to go to iHop. He was so weird, but so was she. And that's why she loved the boy so much. Cam wasn't weird around other people. She wasn't completely honest about her past and who she really was. It was different with Finnegan. "International house of pancakes it is," she smirks back, ruffling Finn's hair. "And I'll get my eggs sunny side up, just because I've missed hearing you talk about the sun, and then we can laugh about the things I put myself through to try and be sentimental." It really hadn't been that long, but taking breaks from your best friend was excruciating.

"I didn't know that, Finny," she replied with a smile. Her tone was genuine, even if her words could mirror a conversation with a five year old she had had just last week. "Did you know that astrophobia is the fear of celestial objects, but it can double as the fear of thunder and lightning the like? But that's more commonly known as astraphobia." Cam nodded, her eyes big as she recalled something she had read in a psychology textbook. She wasn't very into space, not like Finnegan at least, but she was still a huge science junkie. Just of a different sort. "And it's a good thing I don't have astrophobia, because just being around you would probably give me a panic attack."

"And with that, hermit is spelling f-i-n-n. Go change, put on something cute." Cambley spun her pointer finger in a circle and winked. The hand motion made her dog, Toby, stir from underneath the bed where he had been managing to watch the duo closely. "When you're wearing something completely clean, I'll tell you the whole game plan for opertain 'Reunite-Camegan-and-Get-Finny-Moving.'"

Finnegan smiles widely as he sits there. He is so excited to finally be spending time with his best friend. Honestly the brunette is not sure how long it's been since they've spent time together, he's bad at keeping track of time, but it feels like it's been ages. He is also very excited to go to Ihop. To Finnegan, IHop is the greatest place on the planet, well besides camp. Something about how amazing their pancakes are, shocks the boy. "Yay! I love Ihop! It's like the best resteraunt ever"he says happily. "Careful, I can talk about the sun for days. "he says to her. "Fun fact time! The Sun’s surface is called the photosphere. The temperature of the photosphere is about 10,000° Fahrenheit. Its core is under its atmosphere. The temperature at the core, or very middle, of the Sun, is about 27 million° Fahrenheit."he says to her.

"Yes I actually did know that, even though it's not my area of expertise"he says to his best friend. "That is a very good thing. Though it would be interesting to see how long a person with astrophobia would be able to be around me before they have a panic attack or freak out"he says, tapping his chin. Perhaps he can perform an experiment on it, of course he'd have to find someone with astrophobia, who is willing. Or he could always not tell them, and do the experiment anyways.

"I'll change, but no promises that it will be cute. Most of my clothing is far from what you would call cute, and you know that. But for you I'll try my best to look decent"he says to his friend. Finnegan then stands up and heads to his bunk. He grabs a fresh pair of underwear, socks, jeans, a graphic tee shirt, and a plaid shirt. He then heads to the bathroom where he changes into the clean clothing. He then fixes his hair and brushes his teeth. Returning to his bunk, he tosses his clothes in the hamper. He then jams his feet into a pair of converse, and walks back to Cambley's bunk.

Plopping down, he turns his head to face the red head. "So tell me, what is operation, 'Reunite- Camergan-and-Get-Finny-Moving?"he asks his friend. "Please tell me it doesn't involve any physical activity, I don't enjoy physical activity, I'd rather read"he says. Finny then smiles and sits there as he waits for her to reply. He is so excited for what is to come, he just knows today will be fun. Every day he spends with Cambley is fun.
