Testing with Kallie

I nod and brush my annoying brunette bangs back unsuccessfully. She has tried to teach other Apollo kids, and they usually think they're better than her and give up after two lessons. Then they end up being horrible and she just says 'Told you so.' You actually keep going, from what she says.

I smile slightly and hop up on my feet in one swift movement. You're welcome, kid. Now let's see how you do with a moving target. I reach into my bag and pull out a travel-sized automaton. I murmur a few words in Greek, and a life-sized deer appears and begins hopping all over the arena. It'll keep going until you think you've got it.

I let out a crooked smile as I admire both my work and what a great fighter Davian is and would become.

I mutter again in Greek, and the deer folds up and jumps into my bag. I don't care, Davian. Whatever. I smile and stand up, putting everything away.

I smile as he helps me clean up. So what now?

"Well-" he started to say, but then the bell rang to signal dinner. "Let's go eat." he said smiling.

I smirk and begin taking long strides to the mess hall. Good thing. I'm starving.

I laugh and walk a little bit slower. I liked talking to Davian. It was great knowing somebody outside of her cabin beside Alex.

I laugh and look up at his face. Well, I have never had something that I couldn't make, if that makes any sense. I always work until I have it done. As for being a daughter of Hephaestus, I really can't complain. But it kind of sucks when I have a new brother. They treat me like I'm some prissy little Aphrodite girl. I laugh at the memory. It was pretty funny. This one time, I was working on a bomb-type thing for Chiron and a new Hephaestus boy came in and told me, I imitate his low and baby-like voice voice he used. 'Oh, don't you hurt yourself, little girl. I can do it for you.' I look down at my feet and smirk. Let's just say he had to get dragged to the Infirmary by some other brothers. That was pretty fun.

I laugh and look into his eyes. Macy is your sister? I've met her once or twice. I smile, remembering her. I never actually talked to her, but she sounded like a nice person. Anyway, what's it like being an Apollo kid? Does everyone go around singing show tunes all day?

I nod, pretending I actually understood. So it's more like smooth jazz at a coffee shop? Totally makes sense... I roll my eyes and laugh. Sounds like more fun than Hephaestus, though. I should come by one day. I've never been in your cabin before.

I smile brightly at the idea. I'd love to, Davian! Thank you so much! I then realize something that worries me. But... but what will they think of me? I don't want them to be mad at me or anything.

I laugh as I try to imagine what his siblings would think of him pulling a bow on them. Thanks. I appreciate it. And I'd love to. I laugh as we begin to approach the mess hall. I look down and take his hand casually.

Davian looked down at her hand in his. He wasn't really sure what to think. After only being technically conscious for the past couple of days, he didn't know what it meant, but it made him feel happy and safe. Like he had a true friend. He smiled and walked into the mess hall with her.
