- Spoiler:
Name: Felix Edgely Age/Birthday: 19, August 12thGender: Male God Parent: Pan Claimed: Yes Mortal Family: Mary Edgely (Mother, 34.), Elly Edgely (Sister, 17. She's the one poking him.) Years in Camp: 5 (2 as a Summer only, 3 as a Year-Rounder) Brief History: Felix was born in Ireland. He spent his early years making mischief and getting into trouble, often dragging his none-too-innocent sister along for the ride. At age 13, he discovered real partying. He always found time to go to wild parties and other "social events" of that sort, even to the detriment of his grades. By the time he left for camp halfblood permanently, he had gotten pretty far with a lot of people, and didn't want the same for his sister. He sadly told his mom and sister he was staying in America, and they agreed it was for the best. He still visits regularly, though. His greatest tragedy was learning of his father's death. He regularly sneaks off campus to attend parties. Physical Appearance: Felix is 5'8, and weighs 150lbs. Though definitely on the skinnier side, he has a bit of muscle definition. He has brown hair, bright blue eyes, and surprisingly tan skin for an Irish boy, which he attributes to his father. There is a small (3in 2) tattoo of the Capricorn (goat Zodiac sign) symbol on the inside of his left wrist. He most often wears striped tank tops of various shades of green, black skinny jeans, black converse, and a rubber bracelet with some stupid phrase. Personality: Felix is a complete party animal, as well as very outgoing and friendly. He spend most of his time clubbing and drinking. There are very few things he really takes seriously, and foremost among these are his relationships. He cares for his friends to the best of his abilities, and does his best not to freeload. His tendency to be far too carefree gets in the way of this. He brags a lot, and often tries to take charge of situations. He drinks a lot, but rarely gets drunk. Following Logan's betrayal and the Manticore incident, Felix has become increasingly reserved. He still hosts parties, but rarely engages in the dancing or conversation with the other campers anymore. Fatal Flaw: He tries too hard to be dominant and in charge. This causes him to be rebellious and insubordinate, and can ruin the dynamics of groups he's working in. Talents: He's awesome at dancing. He can use his pan pipes to manipulate nature similarly to the satyrs, and things simply tend to grow around him. He can put off an aura that breaks people's concentration and forces them into a state of jubilation. Weapons: His pan pipes and powers. In battle, he wears celestial bronze greaves and brass knuckles, all of which are spiked. Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round Other: He can hold his liquor well enough to rival many a child of Dionysus. Loves trance, techno, all wubwub that is not Skrillex, and pretty much any other type of music one can dance to. Favorite song at present: Human (The Killers). Bi. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE DIPLOMAT- Spoiler:
Name: Abel Harrison Age/Birthday: 17, July 17thGender: Male God Parent: Irene Claimed: Yes Mortal Family: Christopher Harrison (Father, ✝, 28 ATD), Max Harrison (Grandfather, ✝, 63 ATD) Years in Camp: 10 Brief History: Abel's father, Christopher, was, like his brothers, a fighter. However, while Abel's uncles are all in the army, Christopher fought a very different enemy- fire. His heroism drew the attention of Irene, and after a whirlwind courtship, she left with child in a manner similar to Athena- Chris found baby Abel at the foot of his bed, wrapped in a white blanket with a piece of parchment paper attached- "Take good care of him, he's yours. Love, Irene" it read. (The goddess had used her real name, as it was still common in modern times.) Chris loved his son dearly, and raised him, with help from Abel's grandfather, Max. Max took Abel when Chris was lost on 9/11. Abel was five. When a satyr found Abel two years later, Max let him go, not with sadness, but a guilty joy. He had never been particularly fond of Abel. Max made it very clear to the satyr that he would not take Abel back for any stretch of time. He died three months later. Abel has lived at camp ever since. Physical Appearance: Abel is pretty tall at 6 feet flat. He weighs 175lb, and it's all muscle. His eyes are a slightly pale blue-green, and his hair is brown- not a light brown, or a dark brown, just brown. He has tan skin. Abel's face is boyish, and often lit with a sincere smile. He's pretty smooth on top, but his legs are kinda fuzzy. He usually cycles through three different shirts- a gray button-down, a black tank top, and a red tee that says, "COME AT ME, BRO." Abel isn't bound by modesty, however, and if his shirts are unavailable, he'll simply go without. He always wears either white 501 jeans, plaid shorts, or cargoes. As for shoes, he owns a pair of black converse, a pair of red converse, and a pair of navy suede topsiders. Personality: Basically, a giant puppy. The Good: Abel is, as his parentage would suggest, peace loving and kind. He is not easily frustrated, but should someone actually get him mad, they'll have the fury of hell coming down on them. Abel is sweet and a kind of dorky, if a little childish. He puts up with a lot from the people he considers his friends. Abel loves a good joke, and laughs often. He's quite brave, which his father used to joke, "must run in the family." The Bad: Abel's pretty naive. Sarcasm tends to go right over his head. He has very strong opinions, and will launch into lengthy debates should he feel they are being challenged.Perhaps his most negative quality is his persistence. Though this can be helpful, it can lead to tactlessness, which in turn leads to hurt feelings- often those of others, but sometimes his own. The Ugly: Do NOT get him started on politics. Fatal Flaw: Abel puts too much faith in the people around him. In other words, he trusts too easily. He is almost naive in his belief that an apology is always sincere, setting him up to be hurt by those who would try to take advantage of him. Talents: Abel is good at Parkour. He is also an excellent negotiator, and can talk people out of- or in to- almost anything. Weapons: He doesn't carry weapons. Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round. He doesn't have anywhere else to go. Other: Has a phobia of airplanes and heights. He'd rather be called Abel, but is OK with the name Abe. He loves debate and politics. If you make fun of his feet, he will kill you in a very friendly manner. He's bi, but prefers guys and is fairly selective as to who he does, well, anything with. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE FARMBOY- Spoiler:
Name: Henry Findley Age/Birthday: 16, May 13th[sup]
Gender: Male
God Parent: Demeter
Claimed: Yes
Mortal Family: Ellis Findley (Father), Mary-Ellen Findley (Stepmother), Anna Findley (Younger Half-Sister), Bill Findley (Older Half-Brother)
Years in Camp: 4
Brief History: Ellis Findley seems, by all accounts, to be your average "good ol' boy" Texan. This is not true. He was- and is- abusive to his family, and has cheated on his wife multiple times. However, the facade he kept up of the loving husband was good enough to fool everyone around him- good enough, even, to fool a goddess. Demeter was, to him, just another fling, but she was different from the rest in a big way- she left him a kid. He was cruel to Henry from the start. Both Bill, who is four years older, and Anna, who is two years younger, are Mary-Ellen's children. She loved Henry all the same, but Ellis made it very clear that he was not a part of their family. And then all went to hell when Ellis found a twelve-year-old Henry kissing another boy. The abuse and cruelty tripled, and there were many times when he almost killed himself. His brother eventually convinced him the he could take him somewhere safe, and a desperate, trusting Henry followed. In actuality, he had been lured into a trap. His brother locked him away in an unused storage shed, out in woods. He was abused in almost every way imaginable here, for almost a month, until finally he was rescued by his satyr, and brought to camp. He suffered from PTSD his first year there, but with help from Allys, a daughter of Psyche and his best friend in the world, he recovered.
Physical Appearance: Henry has light brown hair and bluegreen eyes. He has pale skin, and small ears. He is 6'1 and weighs 195lb. It's all muscle though, and he's actually fairly skinny. He wears plain clothes- jeans, a plaid overshirt, and a white tanktop.
Personality: Henry is kind, and rather protective of those he cares about. However, he is somewhat sarcastic much of the time. This along with his rather cycnical point of view, has earned him a reputation as a jerk with a heart of gold. He is something of a tough guy. He's very trustworthy, and expects the same from others.
Fatal Flaw: He is too trusting. This has been the cause of the majority of his problems in life, including his abuse at the hands of his brother.
Talents: He is an excellent gardener and farmer. He can control plants and force them to grow, as well as radically alter them at a cellular level (increase glucose production to strengthen and harden them, break down glucose into simpler carbohydrates to make them easier for humans to metabolize, etc.). He's immune to plant-based poisons.
Weapons: A Celestial bronze dagger. Additionally, he carries seeds of multiple kinds on him as ammunition for his powers.
Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round
Other: Has a southern accent, which he hates to be made fun of for. Secretly terrified of squid. Bi. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------THE BUSINESSMAN- Spoiler:
Name: Trenton King Age/Birthday: 15, January[sup]15th Gender: Male God Parent: Zeus Claimed: Yes Mortal Family: Eleanor King (Mother) Years in Camp: 11 Brief History: Zeus, as many rulers have been, is attracted to power. This is why he fell in love with Eleanor King; she was, and is, an exceptionally strong woman. She commanded any conference or board from the moment she strode in to the moment she left, and Zeus found this irresistible. And so the young executive was blessed with a child, Trenton. She raised him to be firm and assertive, and that is exactly how he turned out. Zeus informed Eleanor of Camp Halfblood shortly after Trenton's birth, and thusly spared them pain of monster attacks. Trenton has spent the majority of his free time at camp. Physical Appearance: Trenton lacks the blond hair most expect from children of Zeus. Rather, his is a dark brown, and it complements his steel blue eyes and pale skin. He is 5'10, and quite skinny, weighing only 135 pounds. His clothing is very subdued, mostly jeans, buttondowns, and t-shirts. He does clean up nicely, though, and dress a bit more flamboyantly for special occasions- an orange scarf, fedora, and belt over black jeans and a black tux jacket. Personality: Trenton is a very determined person. He does what he must to get what he wants. He has morals, of course, and will not violate them, but gets pretty damn close sometimes. He has learned to be respectful, though he's not above left-handed compliments and subtle insults. He's rarely outright rude. His ambition and wit are tempered by a high level of sensitivity, which he will very often keep hidden, as well as the sentimentality that many say will be his undoing. Fatal Flaw: He is an INCREDIBLY sentimental person. This means he has trouble letting go of lost loved ones, past experiences, etc. This makes it impossibly hard for him to deal with betrayal. Talents: He can play the piano fairly well. His powers are wind control and electricity control and generation. Weapons: Bow and Arrows, as well as a spool of copper wire which he uses to create electrified traps. Year-Round or Summer: Summer (More along the lines of Summer and every any other time he wants to and is off school) Other: Favorite Food- Octopodakia (Greek grilled octopus). Favorite Band- I Fight Dragons. Gay. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------DUCKY- Spoiler:
Name: Duke "Ducky" McKenzie Age/Birthday: 16, April 13thGender: Male God Parent: Apollo Claimed: Yes Mortal Family: Anne McKenzie (Mother, 39) Years in Camp: 4 Brief History: 5 “Nancy Manning?” “Here.” “John McAddams?” “Present.” “Duke McKenzie?” “…” “Duke, I can see you.” Mrs. Elton wasn’t pleased. She’d had an extremely romanticized idea of her first day as a teacher, and not fifteen minutes she already had a troublemaker. “Why won’t you answer me?” “My name’s not Duke! It’s Ducky!’ Up until just under a year earlier, Duke hadn’t been able to pronounce his name. It always left his tiny lips as "Duhk," earning him the nickname Duck. His mother decided that Ducky was cuter, and it stuck. Duke refused to go by anything else. Mrs. Elton sighed. "Duke, Ducky is not your real name. It's a pet name for a baby, and frankly, isn't it time you outgrew it?" Duke huffed. Mrs. Elton snarled. The principal sighed. The next day, the roster read, "Ducky McKenzie."
10 "Ducky. Hey. Hey Ducky." Duke glanced up from his book and grinned. "Hey John! What's up?" Closing the thin tome, the 10 year old scooted down the bench to make room for the 10-and-a-half year old, staring intently at his best friend all the while. John and Duke had best friends since that first day in Kindergarten. As soon as Duke had re-entered the room, his smile, glowing in triumph, a stark contrast to the dower face of Mrs. Elton, John had sprung up to the young boy and gleefully introduced himself. From that moment on, they were conjoined at the hip. "Ducky, do you wanna go see a movie this weekend?" Duke grinned. "Sure!" There was no question that they would do SOMETHING together, but they rarely got to go to the movies. Duke LOVED the movies. "Wadda ya wanna go see?" John shrugged. "Whatever is ok with you." They saw Doogle. They laughed. They shared popcorn. Things were good.
15 "Duke? Are you out here?" Duke's eyes snapped open. It was misting; tiny droplets of water fell gently through the air and settled in his golden locks. He recognized the voice, the one that pierced the deep bass emanating from the house who's yard he sat in. Concealed behind a hedgerow, he prayed the boy, his best friend for ten long years, wouldn't find him. He hoped in vain. "There you are!" John's hand rested gently on Duke's back. He stiffened. John frowned. "Duke? What's wrong?" Duke looked up at John. His eyes were red and puffy from crying, and he was trembling slightly. John's frown grew deeper. He pushed a strand of hair from Duke's eyes. "Ducky? You in there?" John switched back to Duke's old pet name, use only by his closes friends and family now. Duke nodded. "What's wrong then?" "You'll hate me..." "What?" "I SAID YOU'LL HATE ME!" Duke screamed. John flinched back, startled, then pulled Duke close. The blonde boy squirmed in his friend's embrace. "I could never hate you." John mumbled into Duke's shoulder. "Now tell me what's wrong." "J-John? I..." Duke braced himself for what he was sure would come. "I like boys." "Oh." Silence. "Anyone in particular?" Duke nodded. "Is it... is it me?" Duke nodded again. John pulled back slightly, so that they faced each other. Fear, regret, and a great sadness danced through Duke's eyes. "... Hey Ducky?" John pulled him close again, nose to nose. Duke blinked in confusion. "You're an idiot." They kissed. It started to rain. A hellhound killed John a week later. Duke hasn't been home since.
Physical Appearance: Skin Duke's skin is fairly pale. Pimples and acne have never really been a problem for him.
Hair Duke's hair is a slightly pale blonde. He keeps it medium length and choppy. It's frequently in his eyes.
Face Duke has warm brown eyes. He has a few freckles across the bridge of his nose.
Clothes Duke tends to wear t-shirts and short sleeved button downs on top, and jeans or cargo shorts on the bottom.
Other Duke stands 5'8 and weighs 150lb with very little fat on him. He's not skinny, but not bulky muscular either. Personality: The Good Duke is a loyal friend, a caring person, and a kind soul over all. His jokes are goofy, his laughter is bright, and his smiles wide. He never abandons tasks once he sets his mind to them, and almost always forgives.
The Bad Duke often underestimates the loyalty and trust others put in him. For all his forgiveness, he doubts people will forgive him. The gravity of serious situations often takes a while to hit him. He harbors a great sadness and guilt over John's death. Fatal Flaw: Duke has trouble taking things seriously. Dangerous quests are just a game to him- until someone dies, that is. Talents: As a child of Apollo, Duke is talented with multiple instruments, including piano and guitar. He’s also capable of surrounding himself with an aura of golden light for combat situations. This aura is incredibly hot, capable of seriously injuring monsters with glancing blows. It also provides minor shielding. Using it is very tiring for Duke; attempting to sustain the aura for more than a few minutes at a time will him unconscious. Weapons: Duke wields a short sword in addition to his powers. Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round (Summer formerly) Other:
