Summary: Safe. Utterly Safe. . . In his arms . . . in paradise. Marie and Jake have been friends forever and it is only recently that Marie may have or may not have developed a crush on her friend but Jake you see he has a girl friend. . . named Celina who may or may not be blonde and gorgeous and really what are the chances of Jake leaving Celina for Marie honestly slim to none, so Maria is setteling for just friends but new boy Aaron well he may be doing a little match making of his own in helping everyone discover their own paradise.
A/N: The entire book will not be in this free verse thing only certain chapters as I go along so yeah. . .
Prolouge
Safe.
Utterly Safe. . .
In his arms . . . in paradise.
She can feel his muscles, cradling her from pain.
His hands run through her hair. He knows exactly where to go.
She can feel his smile as he sniffs her hair and never has she ever felt so warm.
She and he were so alike, yet she felt so different from him and it made her feel safer.
The world so cold, he so warm . . . She so cold.
She grips his arms tighter and he gives his low chuckle that makes her shiver.
He gives that wonderful laugh of his and she feels her smile grow.
I love you she wants to say but is afraid it will ruin the moment.
She rubs her hands up and down his arms rubbing his veins, tracing his tattoos.
Her courage peaks and she tickles him running quick and light.
He laughs again and she can not help but laugh back.
She wishes she could stay like this forever . . .
But it is gone as quick as it came.
The voices coming up the hall, the tightening of his muscles.
And she knows it is over.
She gets up before his arms can stop her
And she feels the cold as she lets go of her paradise.
“Jakie!” She heard the blonde voice called and she knew she made the right choice. | |
