Kylee Abigail Reeds Daughter of Poseidon Kylee's fingertips brushed over the silky royal blue fabric that made up her dress. She honestly didn't know why she would bother going to a love related dance without a date, but she felt the need to have a reason to get dressed up, for once. Her gown was a strapless number that was full-length. Silver beads and gems made an outline around the top of the chest, and the waist. The waist band was a series of circles and gems as well, in an in - and - out pattern. It had been her cousin's dress originally, but Ky adored it.
Her dark hair was up in a messy, half made, lazy yet elegant bun looking shape. The demigod didn't really remember what she did to make it look the way it did, but Kylee liked her hair too. Hanging a simple silver chain from her neck, she reached for her mask.
The mask was silver, with darker swirls and gems scattered around the accessory in a random design. She had cut the tassels from the mask, thinking it looked stupid with it on. Kylee ran her fingers over the delicate object, smiling at the bright blue gem located on the top of the mask. Figuring it was best if no one knew who she was, the demigod adjusted it accordingly on her face.
Her deep blue eyes glanced in the over-sized mirror, gasping at her appearance. She almost didn't know who she was, without her baggy sweatshirts, or muddy converse. Her unruly hair lay perfectly on the top of her head, and she looked so different than she felt. Ky felt miserable most of the time now days, being lonely and lazy. She trained, slept, and ate. That was the majority of her life now, with almost no point. Maybe the dance could change it?
Heading over to the mess hall, she slipped into the atmosphere. The dance floor was a mix of red and blue colors, from the different families from Romeo and Juliet. Kylee hadn't ever read that book, but did remember something about the families being age - old enemies, and sworn to hate each other. Sighing, she searched for cabin mates, but everyone was nearly unrecognizable in their masks. Huffing with frustration, the demigod retreated to the punch bowl.
