sasha nicole perry
sasha laid in the snow, her legs bent and her knees up. her arms were crossed over her chest, but her shoudler was still pressed into topher's. she had been blabbering on abou something stupid before she finally shut herself up. turning to face topher she smiled and wrinkled her nose. her face... it was dangerously close to topher's. he was kind of, sort of taken, and she knew it was wrong, but the boy was her friend. they had hung out almost constantly for the several weeks following their coffee date, which had been pleasantly uneventful, and fun. sasha liked topher. she knew she liked him. spending time with him felt natural, and so she did it often. today? she had dragged him to the christmas tree patch only to lay down and spend most of their time talking.
it was stupid, but when she talked, sasha liked that someone listened. from day one topher had listened. that was something she liked about him. he wasn't serious, too. she liked that about him as well. sasha didn't want to talk seriously about anything. she could never handle those kinds of discussions. her breath was shaky and nervous as she kept her head turned to face topher, the mischevious smile still plastered on her otherwise calm face. "how long have we been laying here?" she asked contently, a small chuckle evident in her words. "and we haven't seen anyone. no one must come to look at these trees after christmas. shame. they're so pretty." sasha's eyes shifted to the sky again, and her head slowly followed. turning away from topher was almost painful, and not just because her sweater was probably too thin to be outside for so long, and her jeans were too tight, and her gloves were designed for texting, not for keeping warm. (sasha wasn't very used to dressing to go hang out in the cold.) it was hard to look away from him. when she did, even though her right shoudler was pressed into his left, she had to remind herself that he was still next to her.
sasha would never admit this, but slowly and surely, she was starting to trust the boy. that was unusual for the daughter of zeus. she didn't usually trust anyone. trusting topher? that would be like siding with the gods. she didn't want to side with olympus, because she knew she really had no choice, but the idea had become very alluring over the past few weeks with her friend. she couldn't really call him new anymore, considering they had hung out almost nonstop for at least three weeks. that was a strange feeling, too. sasha often couldn't tolerate someone for that long. people found ways to get on her bad side and annoy her to an extreme extent. topher was yet to annoy her. yes, she liked topher a lot.
"hey, superman," yes, sasha had upgraded topher to the nickname around a week ago, "is there ever any snow in austrailia?" she asked, turning back to face him again. her brow was furrowed and it was obvious that for whatever reason, she had seriously been thinking the question over. she didn't know much about any place except for seattle. that had been the downside of living in a big city. her mouth hung open slightly as her questioningly gazed into topher's eyes. she had done this before, but her heart still pounded heavily in her chest. being so close to someone was exciting. being so close to topher was thrilling.

TOPHER WINCHELL, SON OF THAUMAS
idk how many words ; outfit coming soon
Surrounded by a bed of snow and with a pretty girl by his side, Topher was pretty much convinced that he had died and gone to heaven. Exhaling, a small cloud of air puffed from his mouth as he tried to keep himself from grinning too widely. He couldn't keep Sasha from his mind ever since he'd officially met her at the sledding hill several weeks before. Since then, the pair had planned various hang outs and gotten to know each other more. It was also enough time for Topher to realize that he liked her… a lot. He enjoyed being around her, listening to the sound of her voice as she rambled about things he didn't quite understand. Tearing his gaze away from the baby blue sky, he settled his gaze upon the daughter of Zeus. He could keep listening to the sound of her honeyed voice and stare into those striking azure eyes forever. It's why he agreed without hesitation when she suggested that they go to the christmas tree patch to talk whilst they lay in the snow.
It wasn't an unfamiliar feeling to have someone as your best friend. Numerous of times had he called someone his best bud, but it was clear to him that Sasha was different. Nobody had the ability to make his heart race so rapidly, apart from her. Topher couldn't quite ignore the butterflies fluttering in his stomach when she smiled up at him from their position on the snow. He liked how he had a clear view of her face. He hasn't quite gotten used to her beauty just yet. "Too long, but I'm not complaining. I hope you're not cold, though," he said, referring to her thin sweater. As December rolled by, the temperature was starting to heat up a bit. But Topher still felt the need to cover up. Sasha, on the other hand, seemed a bit uncomfortable in the cold with her sweater and skinny jeans. "Here," he muttered, wrapping an arm around her, drawing her closer for warmth. Throughout their friendships, the two had exchanged flirty gestures and remarks. Topher wondered if any of it was serious. "Not as pretty as you, batgirl." he grinned, having been accustomed to their little nicknames the week before.
"Not where I lived, no." Topher shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips at the reminder of his hometown. Although he loved Long Island and America, he terribly missed Australia, as well. Looking at Sasha, he tried to picture the demigod in his old home in Melbourne. It barely snowed there due to the heat, making it practical for water sports. "We should go there someday. Probably when we're older and the risk of running into monsters wouldn't be that high," he suggested. He liked the idea of keeping Sasha in his life, as a best friend or potential-girlfriend. Topher had grown so used to her company that he was having difficulty trying to imagine his life without her.

sasha sunk into topher's embrace, glad to have a little warmth, and relieved that he would put his arm around her. "thanks, topher." she mumbled before resting her head on his. she sighed and her breath came out in a visible white cloud. "i think i can tolerate the cold, but i really can't." sasha shrugged helplessly, but she only succeeded in trapping snow inside her sweater. it wasn't pleasant, but she wasn't complaining. topher was cute, and his arm was around her. nothing wrong with that.
"and not as pretty as you, superman," sasha joked as she adjusted herself and made it possible to face the boy again. "you're the prettiest."
sasha listened to topher and nodded while she thought. "i don't know if i could stand going back to seattle. i'd run away to australia, though, if you'd be there." sasha smiled without exposing her teeth and her already rosy cheeks blushed. "i'd run away anywhere. you're special." sasha was uncomfortable with serious discussion, but she remained as joking as possible as she said the true things out loud. "i wish we could just leave now. i'd go. i don't really like it at camp. i just like you." a look of panic crossed sasha's face, which quickly shifted into depression. she did hate it at camp, and with kronos. there wasn't much to like, and she felt like such a misfit. topher made her feel like she belonged somewhere. he was special. he was.

Topher felt Sasha relax in his arms as she rested her head on his shoulder. "Anytime," he said, twirling a lock of her hair with his finger. It was actually surprising to him how they were so comfortable around each other. He liked the warmth that radiated as he held her in his arms and the smell of peppermint from her mouth. Having Sasha around never failed to make him feel at ease. Looking down at her, he laughed, "Sash, you're going to warm up in no time. I mean, Camp Half-Blood just got a whole lot hotter when I came."
Seeing Sasha laugh at his jokes always lifted his spirits. He liked to see her smile, those heart-shaped lips pulling back to flash her pearly white teeth as her blue eyes crinkled at the corners. A grin would appear on his face at the sight as a natural reaction. Being around her made him smile.
"Good," he whispered, looking at Sasha. His eyes drifting to her eyes, to her rosy cheeks, to her upturned lips. Those lips. He had been wondering lately how her lips tasted like. He was trying to imagine scenarios wherein he would kiss her and how she'd react. Maybe it would be best to not push her, but still. Topher was extremely curious.
He couldn't quite comprehend whenever Sasha would talk about disliking camp. He, on the other hand, thought that Camp Half-Blood was tolerable. He was just smart enough to not voice out his opinion. "You have to idea how special you are to me," he whispered. "I like you too. I really do." There was an underlying meaning in his words; he was accepting that he had a crush on Sasha. A huge, big-ass crush on the daughter of Zeus. He wanted to be her boyfriend. He wanted to take her out on dates and hold her hand. He desperately wanted to hold her in his arms and kiss those lips.

sasha rolled her eyes and pressed herself closer to topher, finding some weird sort of comfort in the boy. he was nice, he was funny, and he was cute. there wasn't much else sasha looked for in a guy. he did make things in her life so much more confusing, though. "and it caught fire when i got here a few years later." sasha would have arrived at camp the same year as topher if kronos hadn't sniffed her out. that fact stung a little bit. she might have known topher when she was just ten years old. she could have been around the boy for so much longer than just a few weeks. she could have sided with the gods instead of kronos. moaning quietly, sasha shut her eyes.
as sasha stared at topher, she started to lose her train of thought, getting caught up in his eyes. it wasn't just the almost changing blue tint to them, the way topher looked at her... it was pure, and he couldn't see all of the bad. there was so much bad. for a few hours a day, with her friend, sasha could forget that. "yeah." sasha wanted topher to kiss her. he had gone to the dance with another girl he had met in the same place he met her, but she wanted him to kiss her.
sasha shut her eyes again and steadied her breathing before opening them and frowning. "you don't mean that," she whispered. "if i was ugly, you wouldn't say that." without moving topher's arm away, sasha turned to her side and pressed her forehead to his. people liked her because she was pretty. they liked her appearance. sasha was used to that. she was not new to crushes. but she wasn't special. there were thousands of girls that looked like models. she wasn't special. she had already convinced herself of that. "i like you, too. i don't want you to leave. people usually lose interest after awhile." sasha shrugged, which, once again, brought snow to her shirt and forced a shiver. you would think she would have learned. cringing slightly from the chill, sasha forced a very sad smile.

At the comment, Topher burst out laughing. He could never be in a bad mood around Sasha, nor would he ever get bored. He liked the feeling, he liked her. Whenever she'd pop up unexpectedly in the Hera cabin, he faintly recalls a bright smile finding its way to his face at the thought that she'd like to spend some time with him for the feelings were mutual. Grinning down at Sasha, he teased, "Of course it did." he wondered how things between them would be like if they had met earlier. Topher tried to picture a young Sasha playing around with the 12-year old version of himself. He has been in camp for 6 years now, but he couldn't remember whether or not she was one of the many faces who greeted him upon his arrival. Probably not.
Topher frowned at her hushed disagreements. His breath caught in his throat when she pressed her forehead to his. From the close proximity, he could stare into her eyes better. They were even prettier up close; blue-grey with flecks of an even brighter azure. Strikingly beautiful, just like the demigod inside and out. Without a word, he pushed himself on top of Sasha, their foreheads still connected. He rested each elbow next to Sasha, each leg beside her hip to not put any of his weight on him. "You have no idea," he whispered, mirroring her sad smile. "I don't like you because you're drop dead gorgeous. I like you because you're smart, funny, caring, and I love every second I'm with you," he confessed, trailing his finger down her face. He ran his finger from her temple, to her cheekbone, to her chin, then he softly touched her lips. "I want you to know that I'm not going to leave you. People leave because they're stupid enough to not to get to you know, like I did," Topher said more sternly, his hand ghosting over her rosy cheeks now. "Looks are just a plus for you, Sasha. How can you not see that? You're beautiful inside and out." His voice was now barely a whisper as he leaned in to softly brush his lips on hers before he pulled away. Topher searched her eyes for any sign of disapproval as he wondered if he made a mistake by kissing her.

sasha shut her eyes tightly once topher started talking to her, the warmth from his body nearly pressing into hers, which teased the girl more than she'd like to admit. she was angry with herself because of her thoughts, and angry with topher because of the way he spoke to her. he wasn't supposed to make her like him. she wasn't supposed to like him, and in her head, she was already thinking of using him. that wasn't right. he was on top of her, and she had grown giddy from realizing that he would stand up for her if people accused her of being a traitor. the evil thoughts had to stop, at least around topher. "not on the inside, topher. you don't know what kind of a mess i am in there." sasha was pretty sure that if appearances were based off of how good of a person you were, she would look like a demon.
but then he kissed her, and for the brief few seconds that it lasted, sasha forgot that she was bad and felt so good. he would never know. she would never tell him that she trained under the titans. he couldn't know. topher was the one thing that made her life worth trudging through. when she felt pain, she didn't have to worry as much, because she would still have a few hours to talk with the boy. when she was sad, she could put on a smile. he made her smile. she could be fun around him. and when he kissed her? she didn't have to feel like a pretty girl. just could feel like a special girl. as soon as his lips left hers, sasha opened her eyes and grinned at him. "topher," she gasped, before closing her eyes and gently grabbed the sea boy's shirt collar. pulling him into another kiss, sasha shut her eyes tighter and tried to ignore the fact that the kiss was desperate—desperate for closeness and love, and desperate for topher. soon enough, sasha pulled away, letting her head fall back into the snow, and slowly opening her eyes. "i'm... sorry. i didn't mean to... wow," she whispered, the confusion she felt and pain almost obvious on her face, but not quite. the hurt from liking someone she would only mess up was hidden so deeply within her that sasha doubted it would ever surface, but it was there, even as her heart thudded loudly in approval and her hand clasped topher's shirt. she smiled nervously and let go of her friend's shirt.

TOPHER WINCHELL, SON OF THAUMAS
four hundred eighty-one words ; outfit coming soon
Topher couldn't quite comprehend why Sasha thought of herself so negatively. As his eyes wandered around every contour of her face, from her high cheekbones to the small dip above her lips, his mind raced with all the good memories he had of her. Whether it was watching her laugh at his corny jokes or when they would just hang out around camp, telling each other tales from their childhood. How could she say that she wasn't beautiful on the inside? Obviously she didn't see herself the way he did. He got to know her and he was assured that there was no ounce of bad in her.
He had thought that she was going to run away from his grasped when his lips left hers. He was so convinced that he made a mistake, that Sasha didn't feel that way. After all, how could someone like her possibly like someone like him? He was just the class clown, perfect to fool around with. Not many of his previous flings or girlfriends stayed long enough, seeing as they got bored of him. Something inside him told him that she wasn't like that, but it was apparent to him that she was used to pushing people away. It's one of the reasons why he was surprised when she tugged on his collar and brought her lips up to his, his blue eyes widening at first before they fluttered close, allowing himself to enjoy her lips on his. As their lips moved together, he could taste peppermint on her lips as if she just finished drinking her favorite drink from Starbucks. The thought made him smile against her lips, which glided over his smoothly. He brought his hand up to cup her cheek, his heartbeat racing frantically. The kiss was passionate, almost desperate as they tried to get rid of any distance between them. After a while, she pulled away, her head falling back to the snow, her brown hair forming a halo behind her.
Shaking his head, his hand found the back of her neck and he gently pushed her up to him, silencing her apologies with his lips. "Shh," he whispered against her lips, capturing her bottom lip between his. He nipped gently before planting a full kiss on her lips. "How many kisses will it take to make you realize you beautiful--inside and out--you are to me?" asked Topher when he pulled away, his hand still behind her neck. He grinned at her lazily as his eyes darted to his lips, which were reddish in tint and swollen. He bit down on his own lip at the thought that he just kissed her a few seconds ago, his eyes drifting up to hers. Nothing else mattered in that moment. Everything seemed to slip away the moment his lips touched hers. She made him feel infinite.

sasha was pretty sure topher thought she was some sort of saint, which was painful to watch play across the boy's face. what if she had to hurt him to stay alive? could she hurt the boy if she needed to? she had trouble imagining crushing his heart, let alone any of his bones, but the part of her that was sure she could hurt him existed, and that was bad. she wanted that part gone, but it wouldn't leave. she knew she supported the titans. she knew she was rotten. a part of her was evil, although before meeting topher, that part of her had seemed good. any side that was not topher had to be the bad guy. he was nice. he made her feel safe.
blushing and giggling, sasha let topher kiss her again, her smile staying on her lips even as she pursed them to kiss back. her hand wound into his short hair and fell to his shoulder when topher pulled away. "a lot," she admitted, winking as she picked up a handful of snow and smeared it into topher's hair. no serious talk. she would be upset. she would rant about imperfections, and when her life was pretty good, she didn't feel she deserved to rant about it. "maybe you should keep telling me." sasha shrugged and smiled. kissing the boy's chin, then his cheek, sasha rolled over until she had the boy pinned down. teasingly, she dropped to her elbows and straddled the boy's waist. her grin was mischievous, playful, and smirking. nipping at his chin, sasha sat up and rolled her eyes. "some superman," she joked as she stood up brushing herself off, she offered her hand for topher as her eyes scanned the trees.
"the trees are growing strawberries. this must be how they transform. huh." sasha was too awestruck to watch topher as she blindly held out her hand. "weird, but equally as pretty as they used to be."

"I'm looking forward to doing that," Topher muttered, leaning in swiftly to peck her lips. He erupted in a fit of laughter when she dropped a handful of snow in his hair. Playful Sasha was so much better than her sentimental self. He liked seeing a smile play on her lips. It was actually one of the best sights to see, in his opinion. Shaking his head, he let some snow splatter on Sasha teasingly, giving her a wicked grin. "Trust me, Sasha. I won't have a problem doing that." he smirked, letting the demigod roll over him to switch places. As she kissed him, he left his hands wander from her neck to her arms before they finally settled on her waist. When she stood up, Topher almost missed the warmth, but let it slide. "So, if I'm Superman, does that mean you're Lois Lane?" he teased as he took hold of her hand, but used his own weight to lift him up. Topher didn't let go if her hand when he was already standing, instead he used it to draw her closer to him. He smiled at the curious expression on her face. Sasha was an interesting person whose thoughts you couldn't quite predict and Topher liked that. He liked the thrill that she gave him. It made every second worthwhile. "Yeah? Maybe we could pick some when they're in season. I know how to make a mean Strawberry milkshake."

sasha nicole perry Sasha rolled her eyes but didn't move away from Topher, an amused smile on here face. Snow fell out of her hair, but most of it stuck. "Please, I'd be Lois Lane if she someone managed to get fabulous." Sasha shook her head, resulting in more snow dropping out of her curls. "I'm sticking to Supergirl. But that doesn't mean I have to be Superman's cousin." So Sasha knew a lot about comic books. Oh well. She could be nerdie around the Water Boy. Something told her that he didn't really mind what she said, as long as it wasn't stupid. "I.. um... I used to read comics a lot." Seattle was home to quite a few comicbook stores well stocked with Avengers comics, Justice League novels, and superhero action figures. She wasn't interested in them anymore, but she used to be hooked, especially right before she left for Kronos's camp.
Sasha's smile faultered when Topher talked about picknig the strawberries so far into the future. It was painful to think about Topher still being her friend so many months away. She was pretty sure she would have ruined their friendship by then. She would have done something terrible to cause for complete destruction of anything they had built up. The frown didn't last for very long, though, because Sasha quickly reminded herself to put on her innocent little act and pretend to be happy. She was happy with Topher, but typically, Sasha would always be hiding her depression. "Sounds like a plan," the daughter of Zeus joked. Already so close to the boy, Sasha kissed him lightly and spun out of his grip. She needed a little space to clear her head. "Come on, Christopher, hurry it up." In an attempt to hide her confused features from Topher, Sasha started running deeper into the strawberry trees. (they were so unnatural, yet obviously so natural in the greek setting.) "Still there?" Sasha shouted with a smirk as she stopped running, her hair frizzing out before she patted it down. "That little spot in the woods was getting so boring." Sasha rolled her eyes as she said boring and plopped down in the snow, still not seeing Topher, but deciding she had just caught him off guard.
Like she would if he ever found out... No. She would not think about that.

Much to his surprise, Topher wasn't taken aback at Sasha's knowledge on comic books. He recalled the numerous times he's spent as a kid flipping through pages of graphic novels, ranging from Marvel to DC. He would chuckle at his little sister's reaction every time he'd talk excitedly about a new book coming out the following week. Unlike Sasha, Marina would scrunch up her nose and change the topic to something related to fashion or make-up, something he couldn't relate to. However, he was fully aware that Sasha was unlike any of the girls he met. She was unpredictable. It made him want to know what ran through her mind, instead of having him just guess all the time. { WIP }
