| Charlotte Olivia KayCharlotte struggled against the rusted handcuffs. Her wrists were bleeding and her throat was raw from constant shouting. She felt completely hopeless. No one knew she was here. No one noticed she was gone. They probably thought she'd died. She as going to die anyway so, it didn't matter anyway. Months ago, at the battle, Charlotte was kidnapped and dragged down into the labyrinth by a set of cyclopes. Charlotte's been chained up in a cell, with her hands cuffed to the wall and her feet chained to large cement blocks, for almost four months. She was almost ready give up. They'd given her three options: Fight for Kronos, be thrown in a cage with two manticores alone, or rot away in a iron cell. Obviously, she chose the third. This was the most painful but, she was faithful to Camp Half Blood. Sure, she liked to destroy most of cabins and trash the camp store but, it was her home. She loved camp all to much to just give up on ever going back.
Charlotte sat up straight and swallowed hard. It hurt to swallow. She cleared her throat. Charlotte was ready to speak. "Come out, cowards! She shouted into the darkness. She knew they were there, listening, waiting for her to give up. She wouldn't give up. Charlotte was not a quitter. "I'm not scared of you! But, she was scared. She was terrified. Charlotte had been scared since they made her watch the execution of a group of ten demigods she knew from camp. They chose to be killed one by one by the manitcore. She had been trying not to go over the edge with the "come at me bro," crap lately. She wanted to make sure she didn't end up in the pit with the manticore.
Charlotte started to scream at the top of her lungs. She could hear something scuttling towards her. As the small amount of light from the square window shone onto the creature, Charlotte backed herself into the corner. Crawling towards her, from the distant, dark corner was a daddy long legs spider the size of a dump truck. She started to breathe heavily, her eyes widening. It was so close. Nearly ten feet away. Charlotte winced, knowing what was coming. But, minutes later, when nothing had happened Charlotte opened her eyes. She was laying in the middle of the forest. It was the afternoon and campers were bustling around, trying to get come class to class. Charlotte stood up, brushing off her clothes. She looked at her bleeding wrists and ankles. Her throat burned more from screaming. But, she didn't care. She was back at camp. She was safe.
