Required reading for school<Posting in CHB (OPEN)

Taylor stood at the edge of the water, staring into the reflection of his tanned face and dirty blonde hair, letting the water lap onto his toes. Several times he started to jump in, and then hesitated. The was inviting, the bright sun gleaming into the clear water, the sounds of splashing and laughter from some naiads playing with the younger campers at the other end of the lake echoing in his ears.

Still, Taylor couldn't make himself do it. It wasn't that he was afraid of water...He just wasn't particularly fond of the feel of it. Or the smell of it. Or the thought of it.

OK, so he obviously was no son of Poseidon. But that didn't mean anything, he could swim just like any mortal! It was easy, no big deal really.

So there he stood for 5 good minutes, in his sweaty morning workout clothes, consisting of tight black runners' shorts and a white sleeveless UnderArmour shirt, arms crossed, debating whether he would jump in or not, hoping for an excuse to leave.
