Welcome!
Welcome to my new and improved character thread! It's currently a work in progress due to my lack of html knowledge and extreme perfectionism. So, yeah. No posting please? Or I'll rip your head off. We clear? Thanks. Have a nice day!

Shay Caulfield. The Troubled One.
Name: Shayenne "Shay" Josie Caulfield Age/Birthday: Shay is seventeen, born on September 17th Gender: Shay is a girls name, right? God Parent: Shay is a daughter of Athena, goddess of wisdom Claimed: Shay is not yet claimed. It seems Athena doesn't care much for her lousy daughter Mortal Family: Shay grew up surrounded by family. She has a very large family of seven. She grew up in the suburbs, with her father, Joel. She grew up with all boys. Her brothers had a major effect on her personality. Her father never remarried, so she grew up with no mother figure. When Shay was twelve, her family moved out onto the farm. Her youngest brother, Elijah, died just after moving. He was four. He wandered into the barn, to the woodchipper...and you get the rest. Shay has nightmares about it still. Shay had to work on the farm to pay for her own clothes and other needs. Like books. Her father shipped her off on her horse when she turned sixteen. Years in Camp: Shay has been at camp for almost a year. Somewhere around seven or eight months. Brief History: Shay had an eventful childhood. Filled with obstacles left and right, she had no time to think. And now, at her older teen years, finally escaping her haunted past, it all comes crashing down on her.
When Shay was three, her mother supposedly "died". She was too young to remember the face or even a slight sense of what her mother was like. Thus, it did not effect her. Her father brought it up so often, she gained a hell of a picture of her mother. When Shay decided to start acting like she knew what he was talking about, Joel gave her a picture of him and Athena on their first date. Shay still keeps it in a frame on her nightstand.
When Shay was six, her younger brother, Jeremiah was born. Then Abe, a year later. Her dad seriously needed a hobby. And the grossest thing, he never even spent more than a night with these women. He would give them his number and address and tell them "If you get pregnant, call and tell me. Then once they're born, bring them over." It was horrible. Shay was constantly burdened with babysitting her younger brothers. Her father worked all day, from four am until nine pm. So, he had no time for any of his children.
When Shay was nine, her older brother, Marcus taught her how to skateboard. She started to get really into it. She went into competitions until they moved to the middle of nowhere. Living in the cities suburbs had brought such joy to Shay, that she hadn't even realized. She has a skate park right now the road from her house in the suburbs. Her friends lived either on her street or a street away in the suburbs. Shay loved the farm though. Her father knocked down the barns and stylo to make a basketball court and a few ramps and rails. Shay started to like him a bit more after that.
When Shay was twelve, she moved out onto a farm. She lived in Oklahoma so there was lots of fields and farming area. She grew to love the farm until her brother died. Shay had heard his rigid screams from the chicken pen. She'd ran but, she was too late. Shay ran into the barn only to vomit, gasp and sob. There was her brother--or some of her brother--in the wood chipper. She hadn't even realized he'd left the pool. And now he was dead. And scattered throughout the wood chipper and the hay on the barn floor. And her father, being the sadist he is, shrugged it off and told the kids to clean it up. Shay refused. Her father tied her hands, stuff socks in her mouth with duck tape wound around her jaw to make sure they didn't fall out and then he raped her.
The sexual abuse kept up. When Shay was fifteen, she started to go see the school's therapist about it. She just told the therapist she was being abused. The teachers at her school were assholes. They did nothing. Absolutely nothing. It kind of reminded her of reading The Chrysalids in grade nine. How, when David Strorm was whipped for being odd. Shay was being whipped for standing out. A couple month later, her older brother, Cai and her uncle Eugene joined in on the abuse.
Shay was sixteen when she decided it was time. It was time to act. Shay sneaked out of her room one night, around four am. She stealthily waddled across floors and down flights of stairs. Shay slipped her hand to the knob of her fathers door, slid it open with the quickest movement and tip toed in. She knew where the key to the gun cabinet was. She grabbed the key, on the piece of white, or what was now blood stained red, piece of yarn. Shay slowly crept out and across the basement. Finally, after a minute or two, she opened the gun cabinet, grabbed a pistol, clipped on the silencer and loaded it. She'd never known that it would come to this. She was so scared though. Shay walked into her father room, lined the tiny scope at her father's forehead and pulled the trigger. A small click when off. She pointed the gun, again at her father's heart this time, and shot again. The same click echoed. Now Shay tip toed upstairs, to Cai's room. She did the same to him. Then grabbed the backpack full of clothes she'd packed, slipped it over her shoulder's and left on her brother's motorcycle.
Upon arriving at camp, Shay had little to no knowledge of the gods or heroes of Olympus and Greece. She hadn't even known she would be going to camp. She just followed the map to her so-called cousin Martha's house. Which happened to turn out to be the centaur himself, Chiron. Apparently, Chiron was Martha to Joel Caulfield. Which made absolutely no sense. At all. Shay trained for a while after that. She still hasn't settled down. She has nightmares about her father and brother, coming back to kill her. And often, there's a familiar song playing in the background, which make Shay scream everytime she hear's it. Iris by The Goo Goo Dolls is often playing in her dreams. Her father use to play the song when he abused her. Shay has nightmares often, and visions of her father, or brother. Her doctor's think she's coming down with a case of Panophobia, a fear of everything. Physical Appearance: Shay's past has had a large effect on her appearance. She wears darker clothes, has piercings and tends to...stand out.
Her hair is dark brown, almost the color of dirt. She never straightens it, always leaving it wavy. It gets knotted easily. This annoys her to the extent that she carries a portable flip-brush in her Adidas jawstring bag. She almost always wears a beanie. It's kind of her signature. It doesn't matter what colour. But, always a beanie. No matter the weather. Shay's hair rests right below her shoulder's, grazing her shoulder blades.
Shay's eyes are a peculiar colour. It's like mixing electric blue with brown. The majority of her eye is brown, with the occasional green and bright blue shards. Shay's iris is bigger than average, although her pupil is smaller. She has long, black eyelashes. She wears liquid eyeliner and mascara everyday but, its barely visible. Sort of a natural, matt look.
Shay has a thin but, oddly proportioned body. Her stomach is almost flat, with just a small amount as fat. Though it's barely noticeable. Her legs are long. Her skin is olive, her face is covered in light brown freckles. She stands at height of "5'7'. Which is weird because her family is known for being short. Shay weighs 118 lbs. Her facial features are of average size. Her bottom lip is fuller, much fuller than the top. Her top lip is very thin. Personality: Shay is a complex, dark girl.
Shay's past has had a big effect on her personality. She's very protective. She keeps a lot of her emotions inside, so her face barely ever shows expression and her voice is almost mono-toned. She's not all tight strung though.
Shay is very capable. Meaning, she prefere's to do things things on her own. Her father was very sexist and now, she finally has the rights of a modern day woman instead of a woman in the 1800's. Shay now does everything the boys do. A friend from the Hermes cabin taught her how to skateboard, play hockey and video games. Stuff she wasn't allowed to do back at the place she called "home". Shay finally feels free.
Shay has trouble trusting people. She keeps to herself most of the time. She has a very small, exclusive group of friends. Shay is totally and utterly rude to other girls. So, Shay sticks to hanging out with boys. She fits in better with them. She's very confident. Shay thinks she can do anything. The sky's the limit right? Completely wrong. Even with her past failure's, she thinks she can do anything.
Shay, after coming to camp, was still in a daze. She'd never killed anyone before. She'd didn't regret it though. For a couple weeks, she would have to sit down during training, because she'd have these visions, of one of the campers as her father. She would actually try to kill the camper. Shay'd been put on pills after a week of this. She still has the visions, and they're getting worse. Fatal Flaw: Shay has two possibly fatal flaws. She doesn't enjoy talking about them either. Firstly, Shay's over-confidence. She literally thinks she can do anything. Anything. Secondly, her visions. She could have one during battle. Some of them are bad enough that she'd stab herself. She's done it before. Pets: Shay's wanted a husky puppy since she was little but, it was against her father's rules. No pets. No animals around the farm in general. Talents: Shay is very good at skateboarding. She just learned a couple months ago but, she's been getting pretty good lately. She's not the best in combat though, she's not bad either. Her running is a different story though. She's learned so many techniques and stunts over the past few months. Her hunting skills are phenomenal. She is as quiet as a mouse when sneaking up on someone or something. Weapons: Shay uses a normal camp sword right now. She's making a sketch of her perfect weapon for a Hephie to make. Year-Round or Summer: Year round. She has no where else to go anyway. Other: 1, 807 words

Adam Chrysler. The Reserved One.
Name: Adam Marcus Chrysler Age/Birthday: Adam is fifteen, born on March eighteenth. Gender: Adam is a guy, obviously. God Parent: Adam is a son of Hades, god of the underworld. Claimed: Yes, Adam was claimed while living on the streets with a girl named Beth. Mortal Family: Adam had a very short time to get to know his mother. Jane Chrysler worked as a clerk at Shoppers Drug Mart. Years in Camp: Two years. Brief History: When Adam was young, his mother payed more attention to him than she did anything else. She loved her little boy. Adam was too young to understand but, his mother was doing bad things. His mother sold drugs, stole, was an alcoholic and also did drugs. When Adam was twelve, Jane decided she wasn't good for him anymore. She sent him to a foster home, and thats where he met Beth.
Adam slept in the bed next to Beth's. She was an adorable eleven year old girl. Adam and Beth use to stay up late and make shadow puppets while the other kids were sleeping. Adam met Beth upon entering the foster home. Adam lugged his suitcase into the room he shared with 8 other children his age. Quickly, Beth and Adam became good friends. Adam was one to speak his mind, and that's why he didn't make much other friends at the foster home. He would yell at them often, which caused him to get many punishments, most just "time-outs" but, he'd gotten grounded and put in an isolation room for a week.
Adam and Beth never left each other side. Over their three years they spent their nights coming up with the most logical plan of escape. And at age 13, they were finally ready. Beth had come up with most of the plan because she was smarter than Adam but, he provided the supplies. Late one night, he snuck out of dormitory and down to the main office building. He stole food, water backpacks, clothes, and a couple blankets.
Upon arriving back to the dorm, Adam met up with Beth at the bottom of the west hallway staircase. They exited out the back door, climbing the tall, black, metal fence. As they ventured down alleys and streets, Adam grew more and more on edge. It was nearly three am and they were two kids wandering the streets of New York. Rather Dangerous.
After travelling for countless days and nights, Adam and Beth met a boy. He had an abnormal amount of facial hair and wore a fedora. No matter what, he would never take the fedora off. Adam didn't like the vibe he gave off. Beth seemed pretty happy about it though. Like she knew something good was coming. The boy, Gordon, turned out to be Satyr. Beth had already known. That's why she was happy. She knew Gordon would take them to camp and they would be safe again.
And that's exactly what happened. Physical Appearance: Adam looks like an ignorant teenager. That's exactly what he is. He has multiple tattoos that he gave himself, wears spacers and dresses like he just doesn't care.
His hair is a very dark shade of black. He almost always spikes it or gels it back. He hates it when people touch his hair. Its one of his pet peeves. Adam takes great care of his hair. His hair is short. It's nearly buzzed on the sides. Adam carries a comb with him. It's this weird thing Beth makes fun of him for.
Adam has olive coloured eyes. His pupils are larger than normal, taking up half of his iris instead of a quarter. He has tan, smooth skin. He is a girl when it comes to beauty. He has to have the best of everything. That includes hair, clothes, products and even his glasses.
Adam wears polo's and jeans. He likes his black framed eyeglasses and his vans shoes. Personality: Adam is somewhat of a jerk.
He is cold, cruel and distant. To people he's just met, he might come off as a complete asshole with a permanent scowl. Adam enjoys skateboarding, sword and knife training, and down time with Beth. They've become close over their years. Don't tell anyone but, Adam's had a crush on her since they were 12. He always thought of her a anchor for him. She kept him balanced. Adam gets very attached to people, very fast. He doesn't exactly have a loyalty problem though. He has an arrogant vibe to him. Adam is stand offish. He tries not to get involved to much in camp. He doesn't like the events that the directors put out or any clubs that the campers make. He likes it better if he's alone. Him, Beth and music. That's all he needs. Fatal Flaw: Adam's fatal flaw is his jerkish attitude. He's gotten into trouble more times than you can count. He was sent into this isolation room in The Big House a week into camp because he talked back to Chiron and insulted Mr.D several times. Pets: He has a cat named Ed. It's a grey tabby with milky green eyes. Talents: Adam takes great pride is his ability to sense different metals and rocks in the earth. He was so interested in metal detectors and the science of rocks and mineral when he was a young boy. When he discovered his power, he was elated. Adam is also good with his throwing knives. He has a large set, stuck in canvas fabric, somewhat like a organizer to hold and store paint brushes. Weapons: A set of throwing knives, in a canvas organizer, nailed on the wall next to his bed. Year-Round or Summer: Year Round. There's no way he's going back to his hellhole of a foster home. Other: 968 words. So short :O

Spencer Harrison. The Confused One.
Name: Spencer James Harrison. His close friends and family call him, "Spence". Age/Birthday: Seventeen, June 5th. Gender: Male God Parent: Hermes the god of travel, messengers, thievery, trade, cunning wilies, language, writing, diplomacy, athletics, and animal husbandary. Claimed: Yes Mortal Family: Veronica Harrison- Mother. Veronica and Spencer had a more of a love hate relationship. Well actually more of a hate relationship. The two seemed to clash on almost everything. They rarely found anything they could agree on. When Spencer found out that Veronica was keeping loads of secrets from him, things just got worst.
Patrick Harrison- Step-father. Spencer knew that Patrick wasn't his real dad, from the time he was old enough to understand. The two of them never really seemed to get along, but they never messed with each other. Actually, they seemed to ignore each other. Well that is until Spencer learned that Patrick was keeping secrets, and Spencer got mad. After that the two had a very rocky relationship.
Martin Harrison- older brother. Martin and Spencer had a difficult relationship. The two of them never seemed to get along. They constantly argued and tried to out do each other. Eventually they just stopped talking to each other. Years in Camp: Six Years. Brief History: Spencer grew up in suburban Philidelphia, Pennsylvannia. He grew up in a very wealthy family with wealth coming from his mother's family and his step-fathers family. Spencer always liked the wealth, because it mean't he could get what he wanted. But as he grew older, Spencer grew to hate it. He learned that when your family has money, people judge you.
At school, Spencer prefered to stay towards the back of the class. Not to say he didn't answer stuff, or that he didn't care. Spencer was good at school, maintaining straight A's. He just didn't show that he tried to get good grades. In fact most of the time during class, it looked like Spencer wasn't even paying attention. All of his teaches wondered why he was like this, because they of course had taught Martin. Martin was the perfect student and child, he sat in the front of class and answered all of the questions and had perfect grades. A lot of people started to compare the brothers. Martin showed more potiental, and he payed more attention in class. However Spencer had a higher IQ Level, and showed signs of being smarter then Martin. This of course made Martin mad, while Spencer found it to be amusing.
Out side of school, Spencer played lacrose, and ran. He also took up an intrest in building things. He wasn't sure where he got it from, but building things was fun. Infact, he even built his own tree house. The tree house became his refuge, his place to be alone and to hide. He never let anyone into his tree house, so he could truely call it his own. The older he got, the more and more time he would spend in his tree house. One day when Spencer, was at lacrose practice, Martin decided to sneak up into his brothers tree house. When Spencer came home and found Martin in his tree house, he was made. He attacked his brother, and pushed him out of the tree house. The result of this was several bruises for both of the boys, and Martin had a broken wrist and a concussion.
Not sure what they should do, Veronica and Patrick decided to try sending Spencer to camp. They then sat the boy down, and told him all about this special camp, for kids like him. Of course Spencer thought it was a camp for troubled kids. Reluctantly he allowed his parents to send him off to camp, maybe he would like it there. Atleast he would be away from his family, and all of the teachers who compared him to Martin.
Reaching Half-Blood hill, had proved to be somewhat difficult for Spencer. He had been attacked by monsters, luckily he had managed to fend them off with help from a satyr, Rory. After a week of fighting, and traveling the two crossed the border into camp. From here they proceded to take Spencer's stuff to the Hermes cabin, since he was not yet claimed. After that Spencer had a talk with Chiron, and everything was explained to him. Later that week at dinner Spencer was claimed by Hermes. For the next six years, Spencer has been attending the camp as a Summer camper, occasionly coming and going. Then recently he switched over to year-round, still coming and going. Physical Appearance: Spencer has light brown hair, with a some patches of darker brown. His hair really isn't that light, but its not extremely dark, its between the two colors. He hates long hair, so Spencer always keeps his hair cut short. He knows when to cut it when, he can feel it covering part of his forehead. Spencer normally leaves his hair natural, maybe brushing through it once or twice. He sometimes will brush it towards one of the sides of his head, but not often.
Spencer has large light blue eyes. By light, I do mean light. If Spencer was to be facing straight, and you were looking at him from the side you could pretty much see through his eyes. His eyes are what some people might consider cold, you can't really see much emotion in them. Above each of his eyes, Spencer has a pair of slightly bushy eyebrows the same color of his hair. Above his eyes, and below his eyebrows, Spencer also has a set of brown eyelashes, that are actually rather long for a guys, but being a guy Spencer doesn't care. In between his eyes, is Spencer's nose, which is pretty average the tip of it pointing downwards a bit. On the side of his head are his ears, which are normal shape and size. Spencer has a very distintive jaw line, and he has high cheek bones.
Spencer can be considered tall, he's defiently not sure thats for sure. He stands at a height of around six feet, or just a bit under. A lot of his height comes from Spencer's long legs, that have some muscule, from lacrose but not a lot. His arms are also pretty long and gangly, with some muscule but not a lot to really make a lot of different. He big hands, with plenty of cuts and blisters and caluses, from building and gripping a lacrose stick. His fingers are long, and skinny. Spencer wears a size sixteen in shoes, which is about average for someone his height. If you were to describe Spencer's body type, most people would describe him as Lanky. He hasn't quite filled himself out yet, which is pretty easy to tell.
Spencer is like every other teenaged guy, well almost every other. He does not care about his appearance to much. Most of the time he wears a old tee shirt, and blue jeans with a pair of old beat up shoes. He will add a leather jacket in colder weather, and he will add sunglasses. However Spencer does know how to dress nicely, do to being from a wealthy family. However he hates dressing nicely, and he only does when he has too. Never missing from any of his out fits, his Spencer's yellow Livestrong braclet. Spencer also enjoys wearing athletic clothing. Personality: Spencer is a very quiet person, not be mistaken for shy. He is not shy, he just doesn't talk a lot, because most of the time he either doesn't care or saying something isn't important, he likes to save his words for when they're needed. He is a very secretive person, who's very good at hiding stuff from a lot of people, except for the people he is really close too, because then it's easier for them to tell he's hiding something. Spencer has had a lot of practice lying, so he has become a very good liar. He is highly intellegent, and very clever. At school, he always got straight A'S, and was one of the top people in his class. Spencer is very good at convincing people that he's not paying attention when he is, or that he's paying attention when he isn't. That is very helpful, because it allows him to listen in on peoples conversations.
Spencer longs to find the person who truely understands him, and that won't judge him. Although he might not look like it, Spencer is a very nice person. Spencer also cares a lot about the people who are important to him. He has a lot of loyalty to his close friends, and the ones he loves. He could and would do anything for them, even if it means pretending to hate them to protect them. As much as it might hurt him, Spencer will always do that. Spencer also has a tendency to only really listen to the people he trusts.
Spencer is a very difficult person, to understand and handle. His mind is so full of different thoughts, that it would be almost impossible to understand what goes on inside of it. It's like he's in a complex shell, trapped by lies, secrets, thoughts and memories. As much as he hates to admit it, Spencer is trapped in a way by all of this. He searches for a way to get out, but he just can't seem to find one.
Spencer is very protective of his loved ones, and close friends. If anyone was to hurt them, he would try to hurt that person. He also has a problem with a quick temper, he gets very mad to fast and to easy. Spencer tries to stay clear of people, because he knows if he gets to close to them, he will become over protective of them, and become close, and he'd end up learning secrets, lying, which is everything he's trying to get away from. Spencer is a very good actor, he is able to convice people that he's fine when he's not. Spencer is also very helpful, he is always willing to help about the ones important to him. Likes: -Building -Lacrose -Running -Reading -Friendship -School work Dislikes: -Having to lie to the people he cares about -His parents and brother always treating him poorly. -Being compared to his brother -Being judged. -His quick temper -Coconut -Lie detecter tests Fatal Flaw: Spencer's fatal flaw is his loyalty, he will do anything for the ones he truely cares about. He will also do anything in his abilities to protect them and keep them safe, even if it means lying to them. Pets: Spencer has a golden retriever puppy named, Phillie. After the Philadelphia Phillies, his favorite baseball team. Talents: -Spencer is a very good runner. - Spencer has a talent for learning other languages, and being able to understand them. - Spencer is very good at stealing and pick pocketing. - Spencer can be very sneaky. Weapons: Spencer has a celstial bronze sword that turns into a yellow Livestrong braclet, that he wears all of the time no matter what. Year-Round or Summer: Spencer was a Summer camp for the first five years. After that he became a year-round camper, coming and going as he pleased. Other: Adopted from ML.
