Superlatives!

Well, it’s time for another event, and this one brought to you by me, Zelly! This event is the Superlatives event, which is kind of like a CHB award ceremony. You as the community nominate your fellow members for different awards, and then vote on them. The awards themselves vary, with some OOC, and some IC awards. Some are related to your RP’ing, others related to the recipients themselves. It’s really just a friendly competition. This could be the first out of many awards, but we’ll just see how it goes.

Further explanation of how the awards will work will be posted in the official superlatives sub-forum, where voting will be held. Any posting of threads in the sub-forum will be deleted immediately, and the sub-forum will too at the closing of the event. Superlative recipients win a graphic they can put in their signature, as well as honour, and 500 drachmas!

To explain Alfred Pennyworth… he is the account all superlatives-related PMs and queries should be sent to. He is going to be controlled by me, but all staff can access him, and is there so my personal PM-box is not spammed. He is a double account, which is in breach of normal CHB rules, but he has special permission. His account will be left for future events as a staff event account. All staff members are able to access this bot. This first announcement on the event is done by me, and so will queries in this thread. The announcement at the end of the event will also be done by me.

As you can see, we have a huge range of categories, so there’s a pretty good chance that a huge range of people can win them. And, yes, I can be nominated, and, yes, I promise I won’t tinker with the results to make sure I win. That’s all I have to say at the moment on this, but I hope you are looking forward to it.

To begin the awards, you need to nominate the people you believe are most deserving of each superlative. Don’t post in this thread with your nominations, we’re keeping them anonymous. You need to PM Alfred, with a PM containing your nomination, titled:

SUPERLATIVES NOMINATION: [ category name ]

Remember to post the category name, or I won’t know what they are being nominated for, and the nomination will be discarded. Another copy of the awards list will be posted below. We will take the nominations for one week, so get them in quick. You don’t need to write a whole essay on why your nomination is worthy of the award, just write their name, so I hope you’ll get them in on time. Voting will stay open for longer, for two weeks. By the end of it, we will have recipients, who will win the awards. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Good luck!
