I really can't stay

Belle entered her personal room, a glowing blue light shining from the small crevice that resided above her bed, showering the room in a brilliant light blue color. She walked over, taking off her shoes and setting them in her closet. She still had socks on though. She didn't want her feet to freeze and have to get an amputation. She shuddered, suddenly feeling the need to put on a jacket. She slipped on a jacket and collapsed down on her bed, her mind wandering. She first thought of Keller, and then shoved that thought aside and thought of Thayer. She then realized she didn't know very many people. Plus, she hadn't seen Olivia in forever. Belle rolled over, wishing that sleep would come more easily just for once. She thought back to the manticore attack and how Olivia was put in the infirmary. Oh man, and it was sort of her fault too. Belle squeezed her eyes closed, beginning to hate herself more than usual. She hear her owl, who sat upon the dresser, hoot, as if he sensed something was wrong. She unclenched her eyes and sat up. "It's okay. You can go out hunting for food now if you like," she said. The owl just cocked his head. He only responded to french. Belle scolded herself for forgetting. "Allez," she said and the owl took off, flying out of the cabin. She looked around the lonely room of hers, her suitcases not all the way unpacked yet. Olivia had resigned, and she was now the only Cabin Leader, so why couldn't she feel like she could move in all the way? She hadn't even allowed any campers near Olivia's old room, nor had she even cleared it out. She sighed, and lit a small fire in the fireplace, beginning to finally unpack all the way.

I've got to get home

Olivia walked from her room and to Belle's room. Belle was the new cabin leader and Olivia was happy for her. Olivia knocked on the door and then immediately twisted the door knob, not knowing what she was going to say when she saw Belle.

Belle's room was neat looking, she liked it, not that she would express that. She wasn't really one to express things. A gigantic snowflake was imprinted in the wall, above Belle's bed. Belle was unpacking and Olivia stepped inside and closed the door. She finally spoke, "Hey, Belle. It's been a while. Congratulations on cabin leader."

Olivia wanted to hug her friend, but she couldn't help feeling insecure about the curse she had once had. She was constantly afraid that it would come back or that it was back and she didn't know it. She pulled the sleeves of her jacket down over her wrists. It was cold in here, even for a daughter of Khione.
