| Aphrodite Ballot Box Near the door of the cabin, sits a wooden table. And, on that table, rests a pink box with silver trim. Roses and hearts adorn the box's sides. A stack of ballots and multiple pens are next to the box. A poster on the wall indicates this is the voting portion of the cabin leader elections. The 3 candidate interviews are posted on the poster as well.Sapphire - Spoiler:
Name:
"Jonathan. Oh, did you mean my full name? Jonathan Wyatt Adams. I usually go by Athan though, as 'Jonathan' can be a mouthful."
Age:
"I turned sixteen last March."
Years in Camp:
"Roughly around three? Give or take a few months."
What you have to offer as cabin leader:
"Well, to start off, I can be a good leader. I'm responsible. And organized. I mean, my room is always kept in order and stuff. Moving on, well, I'm not that outgoing but I'm pretty open to anyone who needs someone to lend an ear to their problems. So I guess you can say I'm compassionate? Yeah, that's it. And... what else...? Oh, I've been told that I'm a good role model. I guess that means that I don't swear a lot in front of younger kids, especially. *laughs* Am I rambling? Sorry for that. This is all new to me."
Why you think people should vote for you/why you deserve the position:
"Like I said, I'm new to this kind of thing, but if you give me a shot, I will do my best. I'm sure you've heard that loads of times, but let me at least assure you that it's the truth. Besides, if there's something I hate doing, it's letting other people down. If you decide that I'm deserving of this position, you have my word that I won't let you down. That's all. Athan, over and out."
Katniss Everdeen's (Hannah) - Spoiler:
Name: "My name is David Kareen." Age: "I'm sixteen years old, going to be seventeen in about two weeks." Years in Camp: "Uh . . . two. Yeah, two." What you have to offer as cabin leader: "I have been thinking about this for awhile, and I;ve always come to the sam reasons. I think I have a pretty good heart, meaning if someone has a problem, you know, I can be helpful as well as compasionate. And you do realize this is the most I've talked in . . . forever right? But, this is nessisary, so I have to.
I like to be a leader, even when I know there are tough choices. I don't fight much, but I don't think that'd be a problem for the Aphrodite cabin. Oh, and that reminds me. Some Aphrodite children are self-centered, or obsessed with outer beauty. Well . . . I don't care about beauty. I think it's what's inside that counts, and I know some people would disagree with me. Wow I'm talking a lot.
I guess . . . well what I'm trying to say is . . . I just . . . hope you take up the things I said, ok?" Why you think people should vote for you/why you deserve the position: "That's tough. Not many people know who the real me is. I was a pretty famous country singer, Brett Spencer, ever heard of me? I hope you haven't. I feel that if people trust me enough to make me their cabin leader, I owe it to them to trust them and be the best that I can be. Now, I'm sorry i couldn't say more, but I have to get working on the suprise song I'm writing for my girlfriend."
Kat - Spoiler:
Name: My full name is Genevieve Alexis Morin.
Age: I'm sixteen years young.
Years in Camp: This will be my third year at Camp Half Blood.
What you have to offer as cabin leader: Well, I'm a perfectionist, if nothing else. But even with that sort of trait, I hope to use it to mine and the cabin's advantage. If I'm elected I'll go out of my way to make sure everything is in tip-top shape for everyone in the cabin. I have quite a few ideas for the cabin as a whole and in general. I want to be able to create great spaces in the cabin where every camper can be comfortable and to their own liking. I'm eager to organize a bunch of events, that of only for our cabin and others with the entire Cabin Leader team. Having direct access to discuss with all of the Cabin Leaders and a position on the team gives me a chance to speak up for our cabin. Any ideas of your own that anyone in the cabin may have could be passed to me and I would gladly offer them up for the board to look over. And then, any suggestions regarding just our cabin will be highly considered by myself and any others I might want to look it over.
On the topic of communication, I want there to be a lot of it among the cabin. I don't want anyone to feel like they can't talk to anyone else in the cabin. It should be a comfortable environment in the cabin because, well, there is no escaping it unless you're just a summer camper. I'll be at camp year round along with quite a few of you. We're family after all. There isn't much we can do but deal with everyone in the cabin. With my plans, there will be, however, more space for everyone, so not being camped may help with that problem--if even any really feels that is a problem. We're a very social cabin, though: gossip, fashion, celebrity news, whatever it may be.
Our cabin can often be looked down on because of what many of our interests are. No doubt I'm not the only one tired of that stereotypical assumption. Which is why during my term, if elected as a leader, I hope to change that in favor for all of us. Because really, we're not the brain-dead, fashion crazed, helpless romantic, Barbie and Ken Dolls that some people may think we are.
Why you think people should vote for you/why you deserve the position: I know I deserve to be a leader for the cabin. I've been at camp long enough where I understand every single loop and turn and the basics behind the past. My fellow campers should definitely consider voting for me because of my experience as a leader and a helper. Nothing official, mind you though. There have been many times where I jump to help another, and there will probably be more to come where I wont pass down the offer. If I make a promise I plan to keep it.
When it comes down to voting, yes of course I hope you look down at the parchment and check the name, Genevieve Morin, because I just think like that. I want everyone to be aware that I wont be upset if you don't vote for me but I wish you would. As we say in French, Chacun voit midi à sa porte which means for those who don't know, "Everyone sees noon at his own door." If you see that something is best fit some way else, that's great. Your opinion is always much more important than anyone else's, in my own views.
