| drake Anthony clark Drake stepped out of the Dionysus cabin entrance, making his way down the steps and into the blazing sunlight. He was glad he was wearing a bright red Obey snapback, not having to shield his brown eyes from with sun with his hand. Actually, Drake’s snapback was one of the only three things he was wearing, along with his surfer shorts and…well, and his boxers. Could you count them as clothes? He guessed you could, seeing as his shorts were hanging low on his hips and revealing his bright pink boxers at the back. It was fashion to show your ass, bro. Off to the side of the courtyard, Drake walked over to a patch off grass, wanting to get off the hot stone considering he was not wearing any sneakers or anything. He felt like being lazy and trying to develop more of a tan. He lay down on his back, putting his hands behind his head and closing his eyes from the sun, breathing in contently. The eighteen year old loved the sun. He loved the heat. The only thing that would make this moment more perfect was a cold beer, his friends and maybe a hot girl. That sounded like the life, but Drake was feeling too lazy to get up and look for any of those, so he just stayed there. He wasn’t complaining, considering it was already like heaven. It was like the gates of heaven, and Drake hadn’t yet fully met heaven. He had no idea what the hell he was thinking about. Wishing he had brought his iPod or some form of musical entertainment, Drake propped his torso up on the grass with his elbows, opening his eyes too look out at the busy court yard. Younger demigods were running around, soaking each-other with water guns and throwing water-balloons at one another. Drake smiled slightly, dimples forming at his cheeks. He watched as others passed, not seeing anyone he actually knew enough to talk to. He had been here five years, after all; he knew most, but when summer came, it was full of faces he didn’t know and didn’t intend to get to know. Meeting people involved effort, and Drake was much too lazy. He let people come to him. The only time he ever put himself out to get to know someone was when it was a pretty girl, but the last time that had happened was in McDonalds when Drake had got her digits before realizing too late that he actually didn’t have a phone. Oh, the irony. He had to be the only eighteen year old without a phone. It sucked.

| Danny•Skylar•LevineA Grand-Daughter of Athena and Great Grand-daughter of Poseidon |Goddess of Strategy and Wisdom; God of the Ocean and All the Inhabite It danny had been determined not to mope for the time being. She wasn't doing very well with her situation and was determined to set it behind her. Sure she just came back from a black out and sure there wasn't much she could do about it. Her head was still throbbing with the stressful pain, playing as a constant reminder of everything that's happened in the past year. It wasn't easy trying to force the thought from her mind but when Danny sets her mind to something, it sometimes can turn out for the better of things. But more often than others, her attempts fail brutally, especially if the people she tried talking with pissed her off. She wasn't very light on her temper.
Basically for the hell of it and for the reason that she felt of need, the descendant of the goddess of wisdom was wandering about the court yard looking for people she hasn't already pissed off. There weren't many people she successfully made mad, but there were quite a few. She was normally good at keeping to herself, not going anywhere else than her cabin permitted plus some sneak outs to the beach in the late of night. More times than one her conversations start out with the peculiar things the campers do here. Who ever thought of climbing a wall as a sport? Or using mechanics to do most everything? Well that was mostly cabin nine, but it still bothered her. The idea of technology wasn't the best to her. She liked things old fashioned.
The peculiar things were the things that caught her eyes, and usually, she wasn't very social. Danny would, however, become social if it meant learning something new about the generation she was supposedly apart of and which she particularly hated almost everything about. She could do with the clothing like shorts and t-shirts, but she despised sneakers, even though they were much more relevant to wear when training and fighting. That was why when she noticed the boy sprawled out in the grass with nothing but his shorts and a hat on, the girl made her decision to go figure out exactly what he was doing. It must have been quite awkward for him, but that was none apart of her own interests.
Making it to where the boy, Danny didn't feel the slightest bit of tension or awkwardness one might feel when a boy lay half naked before them. She thought nothing of it, especially because she had seen plenty like this along the beach. "Excuse me," her voice sounded through the light air that held no sound but the slight buzz of campers around them in the yard. Her accent was that of old English, but seemed to be weakening by the day. It was her only clue onto where she might be from. "But what is it that you are doing?" It almost killed her how nice she heard her voice sound, but this boy did nothing to her. There was no need to start something.

| drake Anthony clark His eyes snapping up from the group of Demigods that were soaking each-other, Drake focused on a girl that stood before him, not recognising her. Maybe Drake took back what he had thought earlier about knowing everyone, considering he had never seen this girl before in his life. He smiled up at her, attempting the be nice to her because she was being nice to him. Confused at her question, Drake frowned slightly as he looked down at his half-naked self, assuming it had been obvious what he was doing. I mean, when you see a guy shirtless and lying on the grass beneath the boiling hot sun, what else do you think they'd be doing? Drake tried not to be sarcastic though, not wanting to make any enemies. He had been making enemies from the age of eight, and didn't really wish to build up the list of people that despised him. He didn't even know If people did hate him, even though he had people that didnt like him. Pulling his snapback off for a moment when making sure his brown hair was ruffled, Drake adjusted the Jesus bracelets around his left wrist. He always wore bracelets around this wrist, whether string or Jesus bracelets, to cover the scars that lay there from when he had once self-harmed. Not many people knew about that, and he tried to keep it that way. He didn't really think the scars reflected him at all, and It went completely against his personality. "Uh...hi." Drake raised an dark eyebrow, pulling his hat on once more. He kept his smile on his lips, his head tilting his face back towards the ball of fire that held high In the sky, closing his eyes once more as he chose to answer the girl, his English accent thick and slightly recognising hers. "I'm sun-bathing. What are you doing?" He asked her, lying back again and not knowing whether she was going to stick around and answer of leave. | |

| Danny•Skylar•LevineA Grand-Daughter of Athena and Great Grand-daughter of Poseidon |Goddess of Strategy and Wisdom; God of the Ocean and All the Inhabite It so it's something that should have been obvious. Great way to try and make friends with people, Danny. Show them just how crazy you really are. Looking at the boy she could simply tell that he just thought she was stupid. It wasn't like she cared all too much, it was just the thought that one more person thought she was weird for thinking just another irrelevant quality about her. That's usually what stuck in her mind right away. No matter what people said it always came back to, 'They think I'm mental, lovely.' She wasn't very positive when it came to meeting people.
Another thought occurred to her though and it was what he answered and how he did so. "Sun-Bathing" seemed pretty self explanatory once she knew what it was called. What really confused her though, was why people would do that deliberately to change the tone of their skin, if that was even their goal. It wasn't very healthy to lay out in the sun for a certain amount of time, but she wasn't going to be a smart-ass and point that out. Really thinking about it she must have seen more than a few people do just this, especially during the summer, while she had been at camp. Many had been at the beach but that even wasn't too many. She didn't often go down there at times when 'Sun-bathing' would be appropriate.
"Oh, Sorry," Danny responded in a voice that really didn't clarify that she really didn't mean her apology. She had noticed she really hadn't given a proper greeting but it seemed too late for that now. She really did find that his appearance had been a little unexpected and blunt so maybe she shouldn't be too hard on the boy. The way he looked at her, though it was sheer innocence and not threatening whats so ever, ticked her off just the slightest bit, though it shouldn't have. It was just the way she thought and her mind worked that made her assume the worst of things.
Danny took a look around the courtyard once more, taking in every site and detail as she usually did. The smallest things always caught her eye. "You're wondering what I'm doing?" the girl countered the boy's question with one of her own. As she turned her head back towards the boy she crossed her arms over her camp t-shirt. The fabric rubbed against her skin irritably; she may never get used to the material. "I'm watching all of the silly pass-times all the people in the generation I'm apparently apart of, find fun. I'm not usually familiar with most of them." She shrugged, and didn't feel she had to explain herself any further, as weird as that comment may have sounded.
