| With my feet resting in the cool, sparkling water, I sighed happily. It was a hot day, very humid. So I was just planning to relax all day. Some Hermes kids had played an interesting prank on a girl, but as funny as it was, I didn't want to be next.
Today I was wearing red leather pants, with a black tube top. It stopped around above my belly button, showing off my thin stomach. My eyes were lined with black eye-shadow and a black eyeliner that had little flecks of sliver in it. Other than that, I had no make-up on. My long dark hair was hanging loosely in curls around my shoulders.
For all the world, people might think I was planning on going somewhere. But I was just here, all day, for every minute. The leather didn't bother me in the heat. It was the price to pay to look good.
Picking up a flat rock with my manicured nails, I threw it sideways across the water. As it hit the smooth surface, the pressure of it made the grey rock skip once, twice three times before sinking. | |
