I was wearing a yellow bikini swimming in the beach. I went underwater getting my hair very wet. I came back up. I decided just to relax and swim or enjoy the waves. I dove under one wave and almost got knocked over by another. I got water in my mouth. It was salty and gross. Its taste was rather odd. I spit it out and choked almost. I yawned as I tried to get the taste out. Oh suck it up, I thought. I rolled my eyes. I went swimming again as hit something. I came up from water. "Sorry!" I said. I had bumped into a girl. I felt kinda bad. "Sorry about that, I'm Sutton and clumsy!" I said laughing.

cali was enjoying a day down at the beach. she didn't get a lot of these too often since she spent all night worrying about her estranged sister and cabin leader meetings. boy did she have all her work cut out for her. every single thing seemed to get on her nerves or make her nervous, and she just needed to relax. she jumped into the water and began to swim around a little before coming up for air. she felt something bump into her and looked down at what it was. soon enough a girl's head popped out of the water and apologized for bumping into her. "no problem. hi sutton, i'm cali, daughter of hecate," she said, her voice sounding much more mature now that she had confidence in herself.

Sutton smiled titling her head. "Hermes." She said. She held out her hand as a gesture to shake. "Hey, not to sound like I'm eleven but I'll race you to the bouey?" Sutton asked smiling. She almost let out a chuckle. But not a real chuckle. She smiled once more ending her smile a few seconds after. She was not so far out, but far enough to catch some waves. "Oh, hi Cali, nice to meet you." Sutton added. She should've said that before, but she did not. Oh well.

I'm wide awake
