Alli lay down the sky blue picnic blanket. She set the basket of food on the cloth and sat down herself. It was a beautiful evening, the sky was a colorful canvas with yellows and oranges and pinks. The sun set over the Long Island Sound, which lapped quietly against the shore. Birds were chirpping and sounds of nightfall were easily heard. Alli sat waiting for her date, Alex White. The two of them had go out on only one date before. The night had consisted of a free dinner at a fancy smancy resturaunt, a kiss on a grassy hill while watching the sunset, and front row seats to an Evanescence concert. Clearly, you could see why Alli had asked him out again. Alli had promised a romantic dinner on the beach, but had found out that she'd spent a good chunk of her savings on her second cartilage piercing. So in the basket was a bucket of bite size chicken, biscuts, a tub of potatoes and a tub of gravy, and two large cokes, all from KFC. Alli laughed at the fact that her romantic dinner was from Kentucky Fried Chicken.

"Well for appetizers," Alli began in a snooty accent. "KFC. I'm broke." she smiled. She pulled out the bucket and the two of them began eating. "So how was your day?" she asked Alex.
