MORTAL FAMILY
Her special connection with her mother, Trisha, was formed after her older brother's death. Trisha is a lax parent, and has a tendency to drink. In recent years, however, she has held back and gone to multiple counselors. She has always tried to take care of Amberlyn, and is focused on being the best mother possible. The only other member of her immediate family is her younger brother, Daniel. Being only five, he is obsessed with trains and such, and can't be bothered with girls.

HISTORY
At the age of ten, Amberlyn began showing her magnificent talents. She could sing, she could paint, etc. Amazed at her skills, her mother moved her to an arts school. When she was thirteen, however, Trisha began to drink. Nothing truly drastic happened until a month later, when she passed out while Amberlyn was at school. Upon arriving home, she found the house in flames, and her mother was nearly dead of asphyxiation. After Trisha recovered, she sent her child to camp in hope to become a better mother by the time she returned.

APPEARANCE
Amberlyn is the type of girl who stands out in a crowd. The first thing a person notices about her is that pale complexion with naturally blushed cheeks. Most of the time (except for those few off days) her skin is clear as a sunny day. She never really tans--because of her frigidly pale skintone, she only burns, sadly enough, and tanning sprays make her orange. Her soft, wavy, thick tresses are a light brown dash with amber-blonde natural highlights, halting past her shoulder-blades at her breastbone. To keep her hair from her face, she'll add her favorite pine green silky, ribbon headband or simply pin it up in a bun when lazy. The ends of her hair curl at the tips, giving off a girly impression, but, don't let that judgment stop you--she's far from it. Her small ears are usually shielded by her hair and only tucked behind when in a ponytail.

Amberlyn's has full lashes and average, natural brows that are only slightly darker and untrimmed or waxed (she can't stand the feeling of pain on her brows), which she doesn't think matters. Her eyes may be a dark brown, but, according to Amberlyn, it's what makes her her. Sure, they may not be a striking emerald or crystal blue, but at least Amberlyn's all-natural. When people first catch sight of her, she appears especially innocent (which no doubt, she is), but her high cheekbones make her seem mature, leading to a paradox. Her face is oval-shaped, squaring off at her chin slightly. Her mouth and round eyes are very prominent, appearing to be faraway and in a fantasy land. Her lips aren't small, nor are they large, but they're usually expressionless and pursed together, due to her constant daydreaming appearance.

No, she is not built like an oak tree, but, rather, a small crab-apple, with longer torso and thin build than limbs (although, her arms aren't stubby, not long enough to reach things on the top shelf). She is 5’2” and looks painfully fragile, yet graceful at the same time. Amberlyn may only be 105 pounds, but being tiny, it's perfectly normal. Surely enough, her time at camp has packed some muscle onto her thin frame. She has curves, though one practically has to squint to see them, underneath her loose-fitting clothing. They are more noticeable in her hips than chest, one of the main contributors of her more mature frame and build than most teenagers her age. She has powerful (short) legs and fantastic balance, with her arm-strength being her major weakness.

As far as her style goes, she doesn't fit in anywhere, in her viewpoint. Amberlyn wears pastels, more than any other color and loose tops, rather than anything skintight. She'll usually pair her freely-fitted tees with a wide, high-waisted belt, so she doesn't feel confined and trapped. She likes to "breathe," okay? Her style is definitely more modern, it's just not so-called band tees and "jeggings," only things that make her feel comfortable in her skin. Flip-flops and sandals adorn her tiny feet (but don't expect pedicured feet or manicures 24/7). Amberlyn will wear any type of footwear as long as it means she doesn't have to wear socks. She absolutely, positively hates socks. She strays from the normal camp gear as much as possible.

PERSONALITY
Amberlyn is the type that tends to look on the sunny side of things simply because she has never been able to stand dwelling too much time on the ‘woe is me’ deal as she had done in the past. It had been a phase that she had pushed through during her physically awkward growing phase. It is her belief that things happen for a reason even though she may never know that reason. She also believes that most everything is connected in some form or fashion, thus she believes in fate quite fervently.

The bright sixteen year old loves to read and is an excellent artist. She loves it when she gets a new set of pencils or paints. She just can’t wait to try them out. She is also a fairly decent singer. Her range can go from alto to soprano (though maybe not as high as some sopranos). She is also a fast learner. She can mimic singers and when she plays the piano, and she can play any tune she hears by ear or at the least figure it out quickly. Amberlyn is shy though about her talent and therefore, not many people know about it. On the rare occasion you will catch her singing if she thinks that no one is around. However, she will stop if she realizes someone is listening; even if they encourage her to continue.

Amberlyn is shy at first. However, she has started to work on this and even has begun to take a few risks on her own. This new development, however, has started almost solely due to the encouragement of her friends. Whenever she is with her friends, she feels like she can do anything. However, alone, she found herself quiet and shy.

When I say that Amberlyn is naive, I mean that she is naive about certain things. She is book smart and the closest thing to romance is her friends. She is clueless when it comes to the things that run through a male's mind, and will often take them without question. She's not an idiot, however. When it comes to classes, she get's straight A's.

FATAL FLAW
Her fatal flaw is that she is so naive. She tends to not think too much about things, and can easily be manipulated.

PETS
She doesn't have any pets at the moment, yet she plans to get a cat soon.

WEAPONS
Amberlyn prefers little violence, but when fights find their way to her, she uses basic stock bows. Despite her tendency to not use them often, she is rather skilled at archery.

TALENTS
Where should we even begin? Being a child of Techne, she has many talents. She can sing, paint, and she has, not without much effort, overcome her dyslexia.

MORTAL FAMILY
Adam's closest relative would most likely be, if not absolutely be, his mother. Christina Dunlap was always the relaxed and dedicated mother that molded Adam into what he is now. Despite the horrible economic level the family was in, she still managed to take care of two children, the latter being Ariana. The girl was only a few years older then Adam, and therefore they found a tight relationship with being in the same age group. And the last addition to the family is Jefferson, the step-father that the daughter always wanted. Adam never took a particular liking to him however, and coldly calls him by his full name, not 'dad' and certainly not 'father'.

HISTORY
The home environment that Adam grew up in was a rather hectic and bust one. All day people would be in and out of the household, going to different places. They were a strict fast-food family, because they never had time to sit down and have dinner. Pizzas and Chinese takeout were what built the family, therefore Adam has a particular taste for quick and easy meals. When Jeff had entered the family, the older pair did everything together, therefore leaving the children to fend for themselves. This neglect is what got Adam involved in the things he's in to now.

His room was always lined with dark posters and littered with wadded-up papers and junk. Ariana couldn't keep herself composed, and when she was seventeen she feel in with the wrong crowd. Drugs entered her system just like the depression had, and the awful mix of the two caused her to choose the wrong thing. This horrible choice was obviously suicide. The family was devastated, and Adam nearly broke down. After this loss, his parent's decided it would be best for a break from the drama, and sent him to camp. Since then, he's been attending regularly.

APPEARANCE
Upon first glance, Adam might appear as something along the lines of a player; his swooping hair, his trademark smile, etc. You also might notice his pale yet perfect skin-tone. Whatever you notice when you first see him, you can't miss his hair. He has a long, dark side-swept fringe that still manages to contain a tinge of brown upon closer inspection. Another noticeable thing is his refusal to cut his hair. He wouldn't be caught dead with short hair, gods know that'd be awful.

Then you might find your way to his eyes; that is, if he's not wearing shades. Adam's classic emerald orbs are what truly makes him. They have an air of maturity to them, yet his childish face leads you to believe he is the playboy he's often considered to be. His lips are more a cherry blossom red; a very faint, pink-like color.

Adam is also rather tall, being about six-feet-tall. Of course, he's not exactly what you'd call toned. He doesn't have huge muscles, and his biceps don't really bulge. Despite his lack of abs and all that, he can life a considerably large amount of weight. That just comes from demigod duties though, so that's nothing special. He's built mainly like a regular teenager, with a long torso and medium-sized legs. All in all, he's not exactly drop-dead gorgeous, but he's not one of those people who thinks that they're ugly. He likes to think that he is rather attractive, even is he does have quite a few flaws.

PERSONALITY
Most people, when they meet Adam figure out two very important things. One, he is a little immature and two, he has no boundaries.

Adam grew up learning that the only way to really know someone is to get in their personal bubble and see who they really are. And even though it has been quite some time since he has actually been around his family, he still does adhere to that ideal. And because of that, he can be a little too… intense for some people. But he really doesn’t care all that much. Because, even though he does want people to like him, he would rather have those that are awesome enough to handle him around, not shy, annoying people that don’t speak their mind.

That is another one of Adam’s rather intense qualities. He is blunt. Extremely blunt. He doesn’t really understand why people sugar coat anything and so he doesn’t. He tells it like it is and that can either be refreshing or bothersome, depending on whom it is he is talking to. He has always been like that since he was a child and perhaps that is why he always had some problems making lasting friendships.

He can also be a little… competitive. He really has no idea if that comes from his divine side or not, but when he enters a fight… he has to win. He can handle some defeat, after all, he had failed Algebra twice. But when it comes to sports, he hates it. And since he was never the smartest, strongest or fastest, he had settled for cunning. Sure he knew that in order to win, he would still have to train, to be strong enough, smartish and a little fast, but overall, Adam knew that making the odds shift slightly in your favor are always the best. Unfortunately, winning all of the time is statistically impossible. And when he doesn’t win, he locks himself away and makes things, works out or at his worst, plans his own retaliation. He never lets go of a grudge, and that is something he is positive he can never get rid of in a million years.

Despite being a ‘pretty-boy’ Adam is far from vain. Sure, he takes pride in his looks and thanks his mother’s unequivocal beauty because of what he has heard from some of his cabin mates, Hades is no looker. And when people assume that just because he values his hair and skin he is narcissistic, he gets a little annoyed and often gives them a piece of his mind, even if he does think that he can be a little too attached to his looks sometimes.

Despite all of Adam’s hobbies, he still loves to just sit and relax. Sure, he loves sports and all that, but just doing that all day can get a little boring. And he can be a complete child. He is impulsive and naïve when it comes to certain things, but mostly, he just likes having fun, and as long as he is doing something, or nothing really, he is having a great time.

FATAL FLAW
Adam's fatal flaw is his intensity. He tends to get a bit dramatic at times, and is often too determined about things. Despite the mostly good nature in this, it's often his downfall.

PETS
Why would he have a pet, everything he touches dies. At least, that's the truth with plants.

WEAPONS
A ragged, worn-out sword which he calls Serpentine. In it's prime, this 3 1/2 foot long sword was a gleaming blade of celestial bronze.

TALENTS
Being a child of Hades, he is rather skilled at shadow-traveling. After using it a long distance, however, he is drained. Another skill he inherited from his father was necromancy, though he's not nearly as skilled with that as the traveling skill. One more noticeable talent is his wonderful swordplay ability; the typical half-blood skill.
