The giant spider was chasing her through the forest.
'Ahhhh!' Connie screamed, ‘someone please help me!'
She tripped over a tree root and tried to back up. The spider advanced slowly, and it seemed to be smiling. Then it lunged.
'Nooo,' Connie muttered.
She awoke with a start, with her face pressed against the book. The sun was shining on her face.
That's strange, she thought, I thought it was nigh-....Oh crap! I fell asleep in the library.
She closed the book quietly and quickly put it back on the shelf. Connie checked her watch.
And now I've missed breakfast, as if to prove it, her stomach grumbled.
She rushed back and searched where she had been sitting for a few minutes until she found her bag. It had a Greek text inside it, but she had only got that yesterday.
She picked it up and silently made her way out of the sanctuary of the book stacks.
She walked out into the harsh light of day.
