Clay walked to the creek, pulling his jacket tighter. It might be spring, but down right now it was pretty cold. Then again, nothing would make the demigod take of his beloved leather jacket. It was almost as important to him as the switch blade it carried. Clay's hazel eyes wandered around the area, making sure no one was there. He was delighted to see that the only person who was there was himself. Taking slow steps, he wandered onto the rocks that were placed in the stream. It seemed that his old shoes had enough grip to allow him to cross.
Clay had to jump to the other bank, and once there he quickly found his footing again. He was glad to be a son of Hermes, there fore allowing himself to do a ton of things most campers couldn't do. He was a stealthy kid. Clay picked up a relatively smooth stone from the rocks on the shore. Holding it like a Frisbee, he pulled it back and flicked his wrist. The stone flew out of his hand and made two smooth skips before sinking into the clear waters. Smiling to himself, Clay did this a few more times.

| Naren felt a chill run through her veins. She pulled her Harry Potter cloak around her tighter and put up the hood to er navy blue sweatshirt she was wearing underneath. More than once as she walked, Naren felt a pencil behind her ear poke the side of her head. She reached up to rub the lucky pencil, then continued walking. Silently, Naren reached the creek. The soft tinkle of stones dropping into the water was all he heard. And the howling wind. Naren stepped out from behind a tree. "Nice day to be outside Brother." She commented, coming to sit beside her half-brother. | |

| Naren gave Clay a grin back."Um.. Ok." Naren wasn't good at skipping stones. After about 6 years of failing, she was hesitant, even to her brother's smile. Naren didn't think of her half-siblings as only related by one parent. They were all she had, and to her, they were better than her mother or any other siblings born to Naren's mom and Hermes. They, after all hadn't abandoned her. Except for Luke. Naren felt a dagger stab at her heart when she though of him. Luke had betrayed them. Everyone. Even Naren, who was only 7 at the time, and loved him. His campfire stories, the way he used to throw her onto a horse. He had loved her. She was sure of that. But not anymore. As Naren tumbled the harsh ground back into reality, she realized she was standing their with a flat stone in her hand, looking utterly stupid. She sighed, and threw the rock as hard as she could. It skipped a step and sunk like a rock. Without realizing it, tears poured down Naren's cheeks. Naren wasn't one to cry often, bu when she did, it was for a reason. | |
