They whizzed by like a passing train, giving just enough time for Olivia to register what they were. Everything was black and Olivia's brain was trying to process what could be going on. A bright white flashed and Olivia found herself in an empty room. "Hello?" she called. Her voice echoed all around her, and yet she felt completely alone. She then saw a figure in the distance. It was a small, furry figure that she recognized instantly. Blanca! It was Blanca! Was she dreaming? No...this wasn't their usual dream location.. Olivia started to run towards her friend. She felt her feet taking her, but Blanca was only moving further away. Olivia called out her friend's name. "Blanca! Blanca come back!" The further Olivia ran, the faster her feet took her, the more distant Blanca's form became. Olivia shut her eyes and ran as fast as she could. When Olivia's eyes snapped open Blanca was before her. Olivia smiled and she tried to take another step towards her friend, but her feet would not move. Olivia told her brain to pick up her feet, but it was as if she was nailed in place. Then Olivia let out a shriek. A large, taloned paw broke through Blanca's ribcage. Blood pooled all around and stained the perfectly white space a bright, murderous red. The manticore slashed at Olivia's front. The girl tumbled backwards. Things were a blur around her. She could see figures and hear voices, but everything was muffled and hazy. It was like she was in a fog. Olivia reached down at touched her front. Her hand was coated in blood.
Olivia was awakened by a bright light shining in her eyes. She heard voices around her and she felt her whole body throbbing in pain. She heard a distant, rhythmic beeping. "I think she's coming around," said a voice she didn't recognize. The memories flooded back to Olivia like a ton of bricks. The manticore, the cabin, her friends, and Blanca. Suddenly Olivia felt sick to her stomach. She felt as though she was about to throw up her insides in a fit of horrible vomiting. The girl wretched at the thought of it all happening. She felt sick when she realized that her nightmare was real. Blanca was gone. She was gone and Olivia was left broken. She was left wounded, both physically and emotionally. A comforting hand was placed on her shoulder. Olivia snapped and grabbed the hand's wrist. Her eyes were wild with insanity. She held on to the person with a vice-like grip. "She's gone. Blanca. Blanca she's gone. Her wall. Her constellation. It's gone it's all gone. I kept running. I kept running. I couldn't move my feet. And the paw. The paw it broke her. She's gone. She's gone," Olivia's words were crazed. They were incoherent. The person ripped their hand away from Olivia's grip. The girl's eyes were wide and filled with fright and overwhelming sadness. Another string of words escaped Olivia's lips, but they were not understandable. The girl began to convulse and shake. Her sanity was slipping from right between her fingers. Deep in Olivia's mind she knew what was going on. She was aware of what was happening. That part of her mind was trying to overcome the insanity that was spreading through the girl's brain. But it was no use. She was too far gone now. It had been a few hours since Olivia's mental breakdown. She was stable, but she was described as catatonic. She barely responded to anything around her. She was just sitting there, staring off into the empty space. Every now and again, when she was asked a question, she would give some sort of response. She was forced to sit through a questionnaire. It asked her things like her name, her age, her birthday, who her parents were. Olivia hardly answered any of them. In her mind she knew these answers. She knew who she was and she was trying to break free of this unresponsive shell. But she couldn't. Olivia simply sat there and stared with no more than a simple response every now and again.

| We all carry these things; Inside that no one else can see Travis Sykes, Son of Athena "OLIVIA! OLIVIA I'M COMING!!" Travis yelled, crying helplessly. He had heard of the massacre in the Khione cabin. As soon as attack and Khione was heard, his mind registered the name Olivia in his mind. He was running so fast he couldn't feel his feet, or legs for that matter. The cry of his dueling partner, Kennedy, was so faint and so far behind, it didn't matter. The panic was smeared on his face, visible for all who caught a glimpse of the sobbing boy that ran helplessly to the infirmary. Mind you, Travis and Kennedy were having a practice duel in the arena, armor and all. Travis was carrying at least half of his weight on his body and running. Finally, Travis tripped and Kennedy caught up to him. She helped him up and gave him a firm nod. They continued to run as fast as they could. As soon as Travis bursted through the doors, tears stung his eyes. Olivia looked like a wreck. He calmly walked to her and gently took her hand, like as if she was a delicate porcelain doll that could crack any second at the slightest touch. "Olivia...?" he gently whispered to her.

Her icy gaze was distant and glassy. Deep in her mind she knew that he was there, but no matter how hard she tried the sane part of her could not break past the emotional trauma she had received. "She'll be unresponsive. She's in a very mentally unstable state. According to eye witnesses something called a constellation wall was knocked down in the attack. Some constellation in the wall called "Blanca" held some sort of significance. I don't know if you know what it means, but seeing it destroyed really shook her up. A bloody carcass of one of her siblings was also reported to have been thrown at her during the attack. It's amazing she's so calm after the state she woke up in," the doctor said. As he spoke he flipped through Olivia's medical chart. He placed it down before he spoke again. "It will be a while before she registers much of anything," Olivia heard the doctor speaking. She heard him as understood him in the sane part of her mind. She told herself to respond. She told herself to at least look at Travis. She cared about his so much and being partially aware but unable to speak to him was torture. Olivia used all of her power. She used all of the rational thinking she could think of to push through the thick fog of her mind. She turned her head slowly to face her visitors. "...Travis?" she croaked out. It felt as if she hadn't spoken in months her throat felt so raw. It must have been from all the screaming she had done earlier. "Travis. She's gone. It crushed her. She's gone, Travis. She's gone," she mumbled. Olivia heard herself speaking, but it was as if she was in someone else's mind. She felt completely foreign. Everything felt strange and unknown. It was all very frightening how small it made her feel. It made her feel almost insignificant.

| What would it take for things to be quiet; Quiet like the snow? Kennedy Sykes, Daughter of Athena Her icy gaze tried to meet Olivia's> Her chocolate brown hair fell into her eye vision, making it unstable. Her eyes began to swell with tears as well, with hurt for Travis, and Olivia. She placed a hand on Travis's back, as they both listened to the doctor's words. Blanca. Travis had told Kennedy about her. The white fox that was witty, and brave. Kennedy's eyes focused on the ground, as her half-sibling began to softly cried. Even after the doctor stopped talking, Travis looked more heartbroken than ever. "It'll be okay, Travis. She'll be fine..." she reassured, rubbing his back. Travis was quiet once he heard Olivia croak his name. Travis had never looked more relieved in his life. He took his free hand and began stroking the top of her head. Kennedy gave Olivia a smile. A smile that said You'll be just fine. I promise. Travis's hushed whispers crossed the room. "I know...I know..." He hushed, trying to make her feel comfortable in the best way possible. Kennedy walked to the other side of the bed and took Olivia's other hand, and began holding it tightly. Kennedy barely knew Olivia, but if she made Travis happy, she was happy. "Remember me?" Kennedy asked with a playful smile.

| BELLE ❅ ❅ NEIGE//I really can't stay But baby it's cold outside I've got to go 'way\\ It was a horribly dull day and I was on my way to see Olivia in the infirmary. My arm, in a soft blue cast, lay by my side. I took steps but hardly noticed I was moving until I was at the door to the infirmary. I knew I was probably not in a very good state to see Olivia right now. I might not have even been able to handle it, but I peeked around the corner and found several people already there to visit her. I gulped, reconsidering just going back and coming to see her another day. Just...running from the world for a while. I knew they wouldn't notice if I was even there or not so I closed my eyes and took a step into the open. I opened my dry mouth and stood there for a bit. I was never really close to Olivia but she had always been my cabin leader and that added to the feeling that I must see her.
"Mind if I say hello?" I asked the people already around her. They seemed much closer to her and in pain that Olivia could hardly register them. I stepped toward Olivia and stood before her, examining her far-off eyes for a while. I didn't speak for someone was already trying to get her attention but I felt about ready to shatter into pieces. Olivia almost seemed to have gone so far into shock that she was on the verge of madness. Suddenly my arms felt heavy and I let the broken one and my useful one droop down by my side.//I've got to get home But baby you'll freeze out there Say, lend me a coat\\ | |
