The Banquet Room

Several large circular tables, covered in elegant white table cloths are set about a banquet room, set up solely for the camp halfblood's end of summer dance. Various centrepieces, inspired by each of the greek gods have been layed out on each tables.
On the far end of the room is are several long tables, organized from side to side, covered in various drinks and snacks.

This is the best place to go if you want to take a break from all the dancing, or if you want to grab a snack to bite.

I walked into the Banquet room. I was dateless, and? I saw Lavi and Dari talking, so I approached them. "Hiya!" I greeted them, playing with my dress. It was a simple white dress, added on was some lacy, holed, black cloth layered over it. it was short and sort of frilly. I also had on some simple, white ballet flats.

This was it. Rosanna took a deep breath, telling herself to calm down. The morning preparation was hazardous and left her distraught to the point that she became so paranoid about her appearance... and she never worries about her appearance. Never.

She straightened out her beautiful silver tube dress, checked if there was any dirt on the soles of her pumps then felt for untamed hair on her french bun. Rosanna was going ballistic deep inside but appeared calm and neutral as she pushed the large mahogany doors.

It took a few minutes to take in the large number of people. Were there really this many campers? Rosanna shrugged the thought off, now was not the time to ponder on such things. She walked towards an empty table in the northern side of the room, making sure her breathing was even and her walking pace was normal. There was no turning back now.

Glaring at nothing in particular, Melinda kicked her legs slowly under the empty table she had chosen to sit at. The table was surrounded by more empty tables. Melinda hoped it stayed that way. It was another event for couples really. She felt like she didn't belong, out of place, like an article of clothing put back in the wrong drawer. Clothing. Looking down at her dress and shoes uninterestedly while playing with her silver dangly earrings, she closed her eyes. The dress was pretty nice, and she loved it a lot, but it was really more formal than semi-formal. Whatever. Melinda didn't care much.

She wore a simple, pale pink, and floor-length dress that looked light and flowed nicely, with one ruffle that faded at the bottom and modest white high - but not too high - heels. She thought her outfit was alright. Necklaces were uncomfortable for her and because she didn't want to be fidgeting with one all night, she had chosen not to wear one.

Concentrating on the noises in the banquet room, Melinda smiled. Music was anything you wanted, something that was pretty great in her opinion, and it was also quieter in the banquet room than it was in the ballroom. Or maybe that was just her. The music she heard was classical. She forgot the name of the piece but she remembered that she had loved it a long time ago. Maybe not so long ago, but she had always been bad at judging lengths, time, anything of that sort. Seconds felt like minutes to her, minutes like hours. Days passed by too quickly, but at times it felt like they didn't pass by quick enough for her.

Sipping a cup of punch, her eyes opened and she went back to glaring at a wall, she made no move to talk to or interact with anyone.

I walked in with John, my dress flowing behind me. It was purple with diamonds on it and it was satin.

I walked in next to Cali, without a date. My dress was black and plaid. It had ruffles at the bottom and I was wearing hand gloves with it.

Scowling, Melinda glanced at the male who had approached her and crossed her legs. It wasn't like she wanted to talk to anyone, she had only gone to the dance because everyone from camp was going and she as much as she would have liked staying behind, her mother simply wouldn't approve. Even though she didn't care much for what other people thought of her, Melinda did love her parents, family and friends so she didn't like letting them down. Though she really hated expectations sometimes, she just wanted to ruin them all.

"Hello." She said, adding nothing else hoping that he would get the hint and maybe go off to talk to someone else. Honestly, Melinda Larkin didn't think she was that fun to talk to. Sure, she could crack a joke now and then but you couldn't get any special type of entertainment from talking to her. Maybe it was because she was cautious around the people she talked to, could never really enjoy talking to or spending time with them. Because she knew that almost all of them were all liars, backstabbers, hypocrites, terrible people.

Clenching her jaw, she looked the guy in the eye before looking away.

I entered the Banquet dateless. I was never dateless. I sit at a table and drink some coffee. I was one of the few people who we're Eighteen or older. I look around the Banquet. I see something I would never believe. Athena and Poseidon were sitting across from eachother, not trying to strangle eachother. In fact Athena was smiling, and then she laughed. I had to be seeing things so I decided to be like my immature father and flirt with hot girls and I mean like Super Model Hot.

" ok then" I said going away. I thought about a guy I met in Egypt, named Sazanami. (BRINGING BACK! I miss him charrie Saz) We were good friends, though.And then, I saw him, so I greeted him.

I entered, seeing familiar face after a long moment of absense. I greeted lavi at the same time.

I get me some punch. I sit next to Shilo. I take a drink of my punch and set it on the table. Shilo Grabs me stands up and swoops me in for a kiss. It was the most romantic kiss I've ever had.

So the guy knew Sazanami? Guess he was alright then. Saz was a nice guy, I didn't mind him. Standing up, I walked over and grinned. "Hey Saz, remember me?"

I walk into the Banqurt Room, looking for Crystal. I see her kissing the Apollo kid that got attacked by the hellhound. He had a patch on his neck from a hellhound scratch. I storm up to her. Then I say, "Crystal, are you forgeting something perhaps the fact that we're on a date."

I stand up. I say gracefully, "He kissed me Logan, and besides I'm not feeling it anymore. I'm going to have to leave you." I run over to the bathroom so I can cry and powder my nose. I'm alreadybursting into tears.

I stepped to the doorway of the Banquet Hall, my eyes just quickly scanning the different people. I looked down to the peoples waists, so I didn't see the dates and all that. I made my way to the punch, taking a glass and sniffing it. There was a faint hint of alcohol in it, so I decided to stand by there and get plastered tonight. I took a big mouthful, swishing it around to test it then swallowed. Tasted like cherry too-much. I took another sip, doing the same and then swallowing. I shrugged, putting the edge of the glass to my lips leaning my head back. I drained the rest of the glass, reaching out to get some more. A few glasses in, my vision was starting to get blurry.

I glanced at a Aphrodite girl, grinning slightly with the liquid courage in my veins. "Hey beautiful." I tell her, leaning against a pillar. She made a 'tsk' sound then walked away, muttering about Hermes kids. Ha! I wish.

I walked back into the Banquet Room and see Logan and Shilo staring at eachother. Then Logan punched Shilo in thee face. I run over to Shilo and Logan I was angry at Logan. I say, "How could you? Your a big jerk." i punch him and help Shilo up. Then we go back to Camp Half-Blood.
