I open my eyes and squint at the sun. It's really bright today, it would be a perfect day for a swim. I look around to see my surroundings and realize that I'm already at the beach, wearing my bikini and lying in the sand. I see my clothes lying a few meters away. Weird.

I realize that I woke up because Ophelia shook me awake. "What happened ? " I ask dizzily. "Oh, cute bathing suit ! Come on, let's go swimming." I grab her hand and drag her towards the water.

"Thanks!" I say. I jump in, the water feels even nicer than it looks. I surface and say, "Come on!"

I answer to Ophelia's beckoning and dive into the water. Once I surface, I splash her in the back. "Got you !"

"GO !" I don't wait or look back to see how Ophelia reacted, I just charge with all my might to reach the buoy. I've never been a great swimmer, but my competitiveness and adrenaline rush made up for that.

I reach the buoy and touch it. I try to use it to build up momentum, but I fail miserably and just sink underwater for a few seconds. Trying to cover up my pathetic mistake, I swim as hard as I can towards the finish. It's going to be a close one.

As I came from the mess hall, I slipped off my shoes and began walking on the sand. The warm sand between my toes felt just like home, in flordia. I missed my mother. I walked into the water, and found a sea shell glimmering in the sunlight. I decided to pick it up, and I polished it on my shirt.
