Subject: Playing with snow...Fun (OPEN) Sat Feb 25, 2012 7:45 pm

Kate wandered into the Khione Cabin. She still didn't really know any of her siblings apart from Taylor and she was hoping to meet one now. They were all lazing around though. Boring, Kate thought. She'd never got how people could just sit around doing nothing. She couldn't do it for more than a minute. It just bored her to tears. So Kate flopped onto the floor and used the moisture in the air to create snow. She'd just mastered the art of summoning snow. Ice was much easier because it was just frozen water. Kate fiddled with her snow, swirling it on her palm and morphing it into different. It was a dog, then it changed to a cat and then a bird. Then she demolished the bird and swirled it around her in general. Hopefully someone would come up and talk to her; this was getting boring.

Nevada noticed the girl as soon as she walked in. This was one of the odd days that she wasn't spending time planning her wedding with her fiancée Damon. The poor girl looked so bored and all her siblings as usual were lazing around. She walked up to her slowly sitting on the floor next to her as Ice the white cat crawled into her lap. "Hi. I'm Nevada Markus are you new?" She asked flipping her dark hair over her shoulder.

Kate smiled brightly as Nevada sat down. "I'm sorta new." she admitted. "I've only been here for a couple of days. My name's Kate Talent." At least one of her siblings was finally making conversation. Kate had been starting to think that she'd just sit on the floor for hours. It had certainly looked that way before Nevada entered the cabin.

Nev smiled lightly. "Thats new enough for me not to notice you till now!"She said brightly petting her cat gently. "It's nice to meet you Kate like I said I'm Nevada Markus, but between us it's soon to be Nevada Calser."She smiled lightly forming a statue out of ice of a bride and groom then watched as it melt quickly. "Don't mind the other siblings they can be quite cold and shallow sometimes."Nevada said grinning at the girl gently.

Kate brightened as Nevada mentioned she was soon to be married. Kate had always loved weddings. Actually she only liked the idea of them. She had been to one once and it had bored her to tears. But a demigod wedding was probably far more interesting. "So who's the lucky man?" she asked curiously.

She smiled lightly at the girl. Brushing hair from her face she noticed the light flush she always recieved when talking of the wedding. "Damon Calser...Hectate camper actually."She grinned lightly. "You look bored to tears honestly!"Nev said gently tugging on her shirt lightly and forming another statue of her cat. Ice immediately went to scratch at the ice figure."And personally I wouldn't blame you...People here can be so bland and cold."She laughed brightly brushing dark hair form her eyes.

Kate laughed. "Am I that obvious?" she asked. She had been trying to make a big deal of it though. If you make a big deal of something people will usually talk to you. That had been what Kate was aiming for. "Yeah, they can be a bit cold." she admitted, glancing around to make sure none of them heard her. Kate didn't want any of them to be offended, even if she was telling the truth. Kate smiled at her half-sister. This made two of her siblings her friends now. Big achievement.

I walked in the cabin with my kitten Snowy. "Hi Kate!" I said. I thought she probably wouldn't know me. My friend Connor dates Kate. "I'm Alaska." I said.

Nevada smiled brightly. "Actually you are that obvious but don't feel bad the boredom wears off in about oh 3 years."She laughed lightly brushing her hair away from her face as it was bothering her. She noticed Kate discomfort when she mentioned the cold part. Nevada didn't care anymore what her siblings thought she had the friends she was gonna get so there wasn't gona be much more and these kids took nothing to heart. Nev turned when seeing Alaska and smiled lightly. "Hey Alaska!" She said smiling, Nev had seen the girl around and did know her name.

Kate gigggled at Nevada's comment. Three years was a long time though. Then she gazed up at Alaska. "Um, hi."she said. "If you don't mind me asking, how do you know my name?" It was a bit creepy because Kate was pretty sure she hadn't seen Alaska before. Then she noticed the kitten. "Ohhh. That's such a cute kittten!" she exclaimed.

I giggled. "You date my friend Connor. Hey Nevada! How come your not planning your wedding today?" I said. "My kittens name is Snowy." I answered.

"Ohhhhh." Kate said. That explained it, but only a bit. News spread fast, really fast, around here. How many people would Connor know? He had been here much longer than Kate. She's only been here a few days. She'd found a boyfriend pretty fast though. Kate smiled at the thought. Then she turned to the kitten called Snowy. "Hello Snowy." she said softly.

I took Snowy and put her on my bunk. I went in my closet and got her a blanket. I picked up Snowy, wrapped the blanket around her, and rocked her to go to sleep. She was having problems going to sleep.

Nev smiled as Ice hissed at the cat. Ice didn't really like the other pets around here other than Damon's ferret Lego. "Because Day had some Hectate things to deal with something about campers and such." Nev smiled and looked at Kate. "You have a boyfriend? I didn't get mine till I was 16 and now we're engaged."Nevada laughed brightly as Ice begged for attention. she swatted the cat away laughing at her.

"Yeah I've got a boyfriend." Kate answered. "He's a son of Athena. Except he's like two years older than me." That last bit was a bit strange. Connor was way older than Kate. Okay, maybe not way older but he was still two years older than her. The heart wants what the heart wants though. Didn't somebody say that. Regardless, it was the truth.

Nev smiled gently. "I ain't judging you never know when your going to go around here."She said matter of factly. She brushed hair from her face as Ice crawled over into Kate's lap. "I hope your not allergic to cats..Ice is an attention hog."Nev said grinning as she smoothed out the top she wore. "I don't think age really matters, the heart gets what it wants right?" she said smiling brightly.

Kate grinned as Nevada's cat climbed onto her. Her name was Ice? Pretty ironic considering who their mother was. Or maybe that was why Nevada named Ice like she did. "No, I'm not allergic to cats. I don't actually think I'm allergic to anything. If I am I haven't across whatever it is yet." Kate said. Some people found it hard to believe that Kaye wasn't allergic to anything, but it was the truth.

"I'm not allergic to anything either." I said. When Snowy fell asleep I put her down on my bunk and put her under the covers. I went through my closet to pick out the shirt I was going to wear tomorrow. "Which shirt should I wear tomorrow?" I asked.

Kate had to stop herself from snorting as Alaska tucked her cat into her bed. Some people liked their pets a little too much. Kate would never put an animal on her bed. Mainly because she would not want to sleep in a bed filled with feathers or fur. "I like the second one." she said, redirecting her attention back to Alaska's question.

"Oooh, yes please!" Kate said enthusiastically. She'd always wanted to have a sister she could share clothes with. Rose just wasn't nice enough for Kate to even ask if they could share clothes. She would've said no anyway. Rose hated Kaye so much that she said no to all her suggestions, even before she'd heard some of them.

I noticed that Kate was really happy that I asked her. I thought of what clothes to give to Kate. I didn't know Kate's style so I was going to tell her to pick what ever she wanted. "You can anything out of closet." I said.
