adriano brandon miles
Nickname:
"Adriano can sometimes be a mouthful for Americans."
Adrian

Age:
Sixteen

Birthday:
February 17th

Gender:
"I'm most certainly male."
Male

Place of birth:
Venice, Italy

God Parent:
Eros

Claimed:
Yes

Mortal Family:
  • Victoria Miles - Mother - Thirty years-old

Years in Camp:
Two

Brief History:
“Adrian!” A nearby voice yelled at him, making him blink for a second before spinning on his feet to face the teenagers that were walking their way, their hoods pulled up over their hair and casting shadows across their features. Adriano’s eyes narrowed, turning his head to the right the see that the children that had just been swinging back and forth on the swings were running in the opposite direction and out of the park, obviously fearful of the brawl that would out-break. Adriano felt like joining them for a split second before snapping out of it. Now would be the time he had to get his fists dirty once more.
His hands reaching into the pocket of his jeans, Adriano’s fist tightened around the metal conspicuously, knowing that the other boys around him were to do the same. They all kept their eyes on the other gang, wondering who would make the first move. Adriano knew that if they didn’t start this soon, then the police would step in, and Adriano wanted this sorted and the clear the area before any of that happened.
As the Italian boy paused to think, Dean leaned in to whisper in his right ear, loud enough for the people within a feet to hear. “There’s ten of them at least, man. We’re easy-pickings for those assholes.” Adriano’s blue eyes swept over their group, indeed seeing at least ten muscular boys.
Before Adriano could reply to Dean, something small passed the suns rays for a moment before spiraling down towards them. Adriano cussed, ducking quickly to avoid being hit by the brick, hearing it smash against the floor and crumble. That’s when all hell broke loose.

Born and raised in around the gondolas, music and beautiful food that is Italy, at a first glance it would seem that Adriano's birth was indeed a blessing. Victoria Miles was a fine owner of a traditional Italian restaurant and had enough money to spare. A one night-fling with an unknown man and a surprise pregnancy, Victoria knew she would never be able to get rid of this child. Although she had all this money from her successful and well-known restaurant, she had always wanted to start a family of her own. This seemed to be the perfect opportunity for her, and she did all she did to grasp it. She would ensure that Adriano would have a nice life as a child and growing-up, and the environment she chose to do this was perfect.
So Adriano grew up into a young-boy, living above a beautifully scented Italian cuisine and playing among the rivers and streets of Venezia. Adriano didn’t ever want anything to change for him and Victoria, and was more than happy with his life and youth in Italy. He had many friends, as most seemed to draw towards him, and although he wasn’t the best in school, his Mother supported him. He was happy and she was happy; that was all that mattered.
When Adriano was eight years-old, Nathaniel entered his life. Nathan was his mother’s new boyfriend; a American man that had a certain amount of charm. Enough charm to indeed ‘bag’ Victoria. She was literally head-over-heels for him. Adriano also liked this man but who wouldn’t? Small Adriano imagined Nathan to take forth the role of the father he always wanted, and Nathan did indeed do this. He moved in with them after a few months, and soon became a member of the family.
After another year of the three of them living in Italy, Nathan finally plucked up the courage and asked Victoria and Adriano to move back to America with him. After much deliberation and protests from Adriano, they did indeed move to the states; New-York city, to be exact. Both Victoria it and Nathan had enough money, so they bought an apartment in the middle of the city, buying a small café so their lives were similar to how it had always been. Life for Victoria and Nathan was as perfect as it had been in Italy.
Adriano however was finding the adjustment very difficult to handle indeed. The ten year-old, having only spoken Italian all his life, had to pick up on English very quickly. His schooling was very hard also, considering the language and subjects were practically foreign to him. He developed a lot of bad habits at this time, getting into fights more easily.
As soon as Adriano had learnt the language, which took him a good few months, he took this new start as a way to be the guy that everyone loved on TV. He got into a whole heap of trouble, yet his mother was too loved-up to see and stop this before it was too late. Adriano was soon the centre of a group of people that were considered a menace to society. They were considered a gang, and were often getting into brawls with other gangs among New-York.
Stealing, fighting and girls were all that played on this young fourteen year-old’s mind. So much so that everything else didn’t matter. It was a bit weird really. Adriano was trying to grow up too fast. He soon was stealing as a habit, and his high-school had expelled him for cussing the head-teacher vibrantly.
His mother finally knew she had to put her foot down but Adriano was too far in to be able to stop. He was caught stealing a six-pack of beer from the local off-license and was taken in by the police. Obviously he wouldn’t be put behind bars considering he was only fourteen but he was on their files. He had to stay there for a night whilst they tried to get in touch with Victoria. When realized, the police kept a good eye on this charismatic boy, not wishing him to get in any more trouble.
However, one officer kept an eye on him more than others. It just so happened that this officer was half goat beneath his uniform. Officer Parker was often following Adriano; parking outside his house, tailing him when he went out with his gang. He was always there, yet no-one seemed to notice.
The next fight Adriano got into, a month or so later, Parker was ready for him. He grabbed him by the scruff of his jacket and shoved him in the back of his police-car. He explained that he was a Demigod, though didn’t have a clue who his Godly parent was, and that he had to go to camp right now. There wasn’t another option. The more havoc Adriano caused around the city, the higher the danger risks were. Adriano went eagerly, honestly not wanting to get into anymore trouble and turning over a new chapter and be…moderately good like he used to be in Italy.
Victoria believes her son was and still is missing.

Physical Appearance:
Adriano has the features that many people envy for. With natural blonde hair that he smoothes to the side in a quiff, Adriano never has and never will need to dye his hair. It is blonde, and has never lightened or darkened considerably since birth. It's the same colour as his Mother's once was, yet she had dyed her hair a chocolate brown colour since Adriano's birth. When Adriano had asked his Mother about this whilst being a young boy, she had always given him a bright smile and said; Why not, tesoro?"
His eyes are also an envy for most; a bright shade of blue. They also do not adapt another colour or change shade depending on what one is wearing. No; they always remain a sky blue. There are light golden flecks around the pupil yet these are not very noticeable.
The last time Adriano chose to measure himself, he came off as 5"12. He doesn't know whether he has grown and, if so, by how much but he expects to have peaked through 6-foot now. He hopes so, considering he was never the tallest growing up due to his mother's relatively-short height. Growth-spurts were such a wonderful thing.
Adriano is lean and moderately-muscular because he works-out when he gets a chance around camp; wanting the best physique so he would, as he put it; "Get all the ladies," Adriano suspects that his abs may help most of the girls at camp. Why else would Adriano go through that work? To be healthy and fit? Yeah, right…
Adriano is quite a pale boy. For some reason, he didn’t adapt his mother’s tan and as soon as he left Italy, his tan colour seemed to slowly fade because he wasn’t used to the little sun there was in the United States compared to that in Italy.
If to abandon the camp uniform, Adriano’s dress-style is quite indie, often wearing colours such as blue and maroon. He is nearly always wearing a snap-back and Suprah sneakers, wanting to be a fashionable as possible. He has the money to spend on nice clothes, and likes to flaunt this. He doesn’t this is a bad thing; looking good.

Personality:
As most can tell, Adriano is a very confident boy. He knows he is good-looking, and believes that others think the same. This can sometimes give the impression that he is vain, which he is, but he attempts to tone it down around people that he actually wants to get close to. He didn’t stutter or hesitate when he wants to say something, and often likes to be the center of attention. He can be loud and obnoxious at times as well.
Adriano is also sarcastic; always making witty jokes and wanting people to laugh. He can sometimes make people feel small and insignificant by making a joke about them, but will try and apologize to them about it afterwards. He has a lot of regrets, yet knows that he can’t look back on him so he has to move forward.
He lives live to its full-potential, always laid-back and ready for some fun. He doesn’t really like fighting or tension after numerous years in a angry environment, and will fill the space with a witty crack at someone. Many know that he doesn’t mean this and what he says, yet he can sometimes push people away because of this. Adriano tries to stop making fun of people as best he can.
Although Adriano is vain, cocky, sarcastic and incredibly flirtatious, he is a hopeless romantic. He has never been able to stay with the same girl for more than a month because of this; always wanting to find the one girl he was in love with. He would never ever admit anyone that he thought this though, considering his reputation meant quite a lot to him.

Fatal Flaw:
  • Adriano somehow manages to gain enemies quite fast. Whether this is because he dumps girls like a toy or manages to insult people with one of his jokes, he is not sure. He, over the past two years, has managed to indeed make a few enemies around camp yet the number is insignificant compared to the number of friends he has.
  • He has a fear of the dark and has since he was young. He can sleep in the dark yet when on edge, he likes to keep a small light or lamp on at all times. He finds this quite embarrassing.
  • Adriano can become very jealous very easily, and this doesn’t help his ADHD. It often brings out the worst in him. When his anger levels spark, Adriano is completely unpredictable. He will literally do anything; hurting others, hurting himself, crying…etc…

Pets:
None currently

Talents:
Adriano has always had trouble trying to identify his talents. He believes he has none, yet there are one or two that could be considered a talent. For one, he cans seem to draw people to him like a moth or a flame. He doesn’t really think much of it, but he nearly always surrounded by people. Many would think that this popularity was cool but on rare occasions, Adriano becomes bored of it. Everyone needs a bit of solidarity.
Another thing that has always bothered Adriano, yet never believed it was a talent, was the fact that no matter what happens to him, his appearance will always return back to normal. For example; when once in a brawl, Adriano’s nose had broke and moved to the side. Where most would have a more predominant bone in the middle of his nose and noticeable, Adriano’s nose returned straight. He has no scars unlike many children also, because of this. He cannot, however control this and still feels the pain of every broken bone and cut, despite the fact the blemish may fade after a few days. The only exception to this is that he cannot notice or control this to his knowledge and scars from celestial broze swords do not fade.

Year-Round or Summer:

I need sunshine, I need angels, I need. Something good, yeah I need Blue skies, I need them old times, I need Something good, yeah something good. Something good, yeah something good. All these days seem so far away, And I went too far enough to wait. I've come Way back then when I hadn't seen Half them things I'd never thought I'd see Become someone I'd never thought I'd be.

Cause there's something good, Yeah, I need sunshine, I need angels, I need
Something good, yeah I need, Blue skies, I need them old times, I need
Something good, yeah something good. Something good, yeah something good

All these days seem to fade away as I lost faith in myself, Questioned everything I stood for. No ain't more left to look for in life, I began to lose all, found it harder to cope With everything around me. And them people that would doubt me,Oh I, I was in a place that I didn't wanna be, Seeing face after face I didn't wanna see, I I I
I didn't go out of my mind, only god knows. And all them girls that I used to see running 'round. Was like the rain that I used to see pouring down, They did nothing for me

elizabeth anwen rosemarie
Nickname:
“I don’t really like the name Elizabeth. It’s too old-fashioned, you know? So I just go by Rose, because dad always called me Rose. He said it was much more beautiful. My middle name is Welsh, but I can barely pronounce it…”

Rose.

Age:
Sixteen

Birthday:
November 6th, 1996

Gender:
Female

Place of birth:
“Technically, I was born in Camp half-blood. I went there a lot when I was growing up.”

New York, United states of America

God Parent:
Legacy of Aphrodite and Apollo

Claimed:
Yes

Mortal Family:
“My dad was literally, a legend. Seriously, he was more like a big brother than a father. I guess he had to be, seeing as he was closer to my age than most fathers were to their children. I don’t care. He was the best dad ever.”

Christian Rosemarie was a son of the goddess Aphrodite, born and raised in the British country of Wales. His family had moved over to the US when he was just five years old, wanting to get out of the country in order to find more acting work. They moved to New York, hearing all the amazing stories of fame and fortune connected with the ‘big apple’ and all that jazz. Christian had always been quite a mischievous young boy, never doing well in class and always getting detentions because he had dropped water-balloons on the twelfth-grade cheer-leaders or something like that. He honestly didn’t care, and school was hard enough with his dyslexia. He just didn’t wish to apply himself.
At the age of twelve, both of his parents were brutally murdered in the night, Christian hiding in the corner of his darkened room, watching as the door opened and the silhouette of a large inhuman beast appeared at the threshold. It was soon stabbed down, swarms of teenagers bursting into the house wielding blades of all sorts, finding the young, cowering boy and taking him to a place called ‘Camp Half-Blood’. That’s where Christian stayed until he was nineteen, claimed (or blessed) almost immediately by the goddess Aphrodite.

“I barely knew my mother. All I know is that she had her immortality status taken away because of dad. She didn’t do anything for us, in the end.”

Elizabeth Moore was born in 1968, making her almost twenty-six by the time she was acquainted with Christian. Elizabeth was born in pain and loss, not remembering anything about her days before she entered the Lotus casino in 1986. She couldn’t remember how she had got there, or who had put her there, but all she knew was that days seemed like years in there. After three years of passed-time, which seemed like minutes, a group of teenage females broke in, fleeing with few demigods along with Elizabeth. She took the vow of maidenhood straight away, just after going to camp half-blood for a few weeks to discover that Apollo was her father. She wanted immortality and eternal youth, no matter how vain that would seem. She longed for this sisterhood. She took the vow at the age of twenty-one, despite having the appearance of an eighteen year old. She had only been a huntress of Artemis for five years before meeting Christian when making base at camp half-blood on their way to a mission for the group. Christian had been good-looking, a charmer and exceedingly persistent, and Elizabeth hadn’t been able to stay on the path of maidenhood, soon having made enough of a mistake to be carrying their baby. Of course, she was exiled from the group of huntresses, forced to be living among with all of the other demigods. As soon as Rose was out of her mother’s stomach, Elizabeth did a quick run for it, not seen again for a good few years.

“Uncle Harry was the more serious one, whereas uncle Gregg was the really childish one. They were both awesome; big brothers, you know?”

Harry Frederick and Gregg Schneider were both Aphrodite campers; Christian’s half-brothers and Rose’s uncles. They had moved in with the two of them when Rose was growing up, and Rose had always been close to the both of them, thinking of them as older brothers and best friends along with her father.

Years in Camp:
Five

Brief History:
“Uh…basically, my mom was a naughty huntress that was stupid enough to fall for my dad’s attempts to seduce her. Yeah, I know right. She dumped us, the stupid-”

After Elizabeth had dumped them – not before arrogantly naming her kin after her, I might add – Christian was left to look after this newborn girl when he could barely look after himself. He resented the ex-huntress somewhat, for getting them in this mess even if it was his fault, and he had never loved her. She had just been something for him to toy with; a challenge, which he had succeeded in. Think of the bragging right he held; he had got a huntress of Artemis pregnant, although it had come with big consequences. It wasn’t as if he hated Rose and wanted nothing to do with her; oh no, he loved Rose immediately, unlike Elizabeth had. No, he just found it difficult. He was a seventeen-year old, after all; he was meant to be out, getting drunk and enjoying life to the fullest; not tied down by child. He also got a lot of trouble for having a kid at camp, but his siblings were very open and loving, helping him bring the smaller child up until he turned twenty, moving from the safe haven and into a small apartment ten minutes away, on the outer-skirts of New York city.
Rose was three years old, and had already spent the beginning of her life surrounding by all things secret and magical, and Christian struggled slightly with making sure she didn’t speak of it in public. She was just a toddler, so she couldn’t really have long discussions, but she knew the worlds ‘camp’, ‘satyr’ and ‘demigods’, so he would still have to be careful. Of course, anyone would think that a young girl speaking of such ‘impossible’’ things was normal, seeing as most children were brought up on Disney and fairy-tales, no matter how much close to the truth it may be. Rose was a talented young child, with long ginger girls and the musical ability of someone a few years older than her. It was quite fascinating really.
Christian and Rose had to move around a lot, and would often go back to stay at camp for a few months when being found by monsters, seeing as both of them knew enough about mythology to attract a decent amount of attention from the wrong kind, but they always stayed within a five mile radius of camp, ready to get back their when Rose’s and his lives were in danger. Thankfully, when Rose was six, two of Christian’s brothers had moved in with them, ready to help protect and look after the young girl. Rose called them uncle Gregg and uncle Harry, them both being the same age as her father but more childish than Christian. She thought of them more as big brothers.
Between the three of them, and a few monthly visits to camp half-blood, Rose was home-schooled quite easily and successfully. Camp was like one large school; The Athena kids taught her maths, her Apollo family would show her music, the Hermes kids would often show her the latest ways to pull things over on her father. The first eleven years of her life were great, fun and loving. Christian was almost as big of a child as she was, wanting to go out and play most days, and sulking when Rose stated that she would rather at home and play with her Barbie dolls or something such as that. He would never push her into anything she didn’t want to do, but he was as big of a tease and enthusiastic as he was handsome.
“Dad? Who’s there?” The girl called, Harry getting up from his place on the couch to peer around the wall with her. He placed his hand on her shoulder, bringing the eleven years old behind him slightly. “Uncle Harry? What is it?” She asked him, fear and curiosity plaguing her voice. Harry simply placed his index finger to his lips in a silence motion, his blue eyes moving down to her before pulling a small metal contraption from his pocket. Rose had seen him use that before, and she watched as he ran his finger over the side, it snapping from the small shape into a large sword, not making a sound as it did so.
‘Stay here.’ Her uncle mouthed, shuffling around the edge of the wall, staying out of the person at the door’s view. The talk at the door was silent, muffled, and Rose had to strain her ears to make it out. She could, however, make out small bits of sentences, hearing ‘huntresses’ and her name, able to realise who it could be. She burst forward, tripping on her own two feet and into her father’s arms, who caught her before she could fall on her face and held her close to him; protecting her from to woman.
“Is that her?” The woman asked, her dull brown eyes widening as she took in the girl. Elizabeth moved her head to the side, looking at the tall redheaded woman who stood in the doorway, gasping at the resemblance between the two of them. They were exactly alike in appearance, yet Rose’ eyes were a green, not as dark as her mother’s.
Feeling Christian’s hand on the back of her hair protectively, she felt Harry brush against her arm, seeing a flash of his bronze sword from the corner of her eye. “Don’t act like you care.” Harry spat, shuffling closer to the two Rosemarie’s once more. Elizabeth’s head snapped up at Harry, taking in his long brown hair, lazy appearance and the blade him his hand. The corner of her lips twitched up in a small and amused smile, but her eyes held no warmth at all. Rose shuddered, her father holding her even closer. Rose was scared that her mother was about to lash out and attack her uncle, but she didn’t move a muscle; not until the howling started.
“I came to warn you. They’re coming for you.”

After eleven years of not being there for anyone, it was then when Elizabeth chose to return, appearing at the Rosemarie’s doorstep in torn clothes and covered in blood. Christian warily let her in and washed her off when Gregg got back to join them, Rose not being able to believe that this woman was indeed the girl had had yearned immortality so much that she had resented her child for it being taken from her. At least, Rose had always believed that Elizabeth had resented her for it.
It was then that Rose’s life changed forever; Elizabeth set them down and told them about what she had been doing for the last eleven years in hiding. It was true that Elizabeth had only escaped in the first place because she didn’t want a chid, and hated Christian for kicking her out of youth but had actually been finishing what she had started; searching for the people that sent her into the Lotus casino all those years ago. She eventually found out, discovering that a group of renegade Demigods had been looking for as many of their own kind as they could, hiding them in the Lotus casino until Kronos was to rise again and start a new revolution. However, Elizabeth had only discovered this information when visiting the casino and tracing threads, only to find herself kidnapped again by the same group of people. They had promised her immortality, in exchange for her dedication towards the cause. Elizabeth had agreed, spending three years with them and doing their bidding before eventually slipping up, realising how much of a monster she had become. All she wanted was youth, and she had to escape this slavery that had grasped at her.
So she ran away, travelling far and wide across the country; trying to escape. She knew that they would try and grab her daughter and use her as leverage for Elizabeth to hand herself in, and the daughter of Apollo did – surprisingly – have enough of a heart to go to warn the Rosemarie’s, telling them to get to camp and to safety. They weren’t fast enough however, a large hellhound ripping through the front window of the apartment. Between the four of them, with Rose hiding behind the sofa, they were able to take down the beast, which only a minor injury to Harry’s left arm. They got everything packed, jumping into a car between them and speeding down the freeways in the direction of camp, expecting to make it.
They were four minutes away from camp when rammed into by another car, both behind knocked and spiralled over. Out of the other car burst five teenage demigods, all wielding long and scary weapons. It was a furious battle, and Rose had been rooted to the spot as she watched her uncle Gregg hit down to the ground and killed, along with her own mother. A single tear was shed for her own mother, whereas she couldn’t believe her own uncle, who was like a big brother, had been killed right in front of her. She would’ve started bawling her eyes out if she hadn’t been taken before she could, thrown into the car with the rest of the renegade survivors and taken from Christian and Harry, who were chasing fast behind them, following straight on their trail.
It was something out of a movie, but Rose and her captors got away and out of sight from her family, loosing them. They bundled up rose and tied her up in a warehouse, and all she could remember was days of dark and little food and water; this the reason behind Rose’s strong claustrophobia and fear of the dark. Eventually, after what seemed like weeks, she heard the yells and screams of those she knew and strangers, having to wait in the cold as she didn’t know what was happening; who was dying. The door opened finally and many teenagers burst in, Rose recognising them from camp half-blood; some being her family and some being those she had just seen around. They untied her, handing her sword and simply telling her to fight her way out.
“It was the first time I had ever fought properly; not training exercises, no messing around. Just me, the blade and the bad-guys, and it felt…it felt…it felt scary. But the adrenaline rush was insane.”

Rose didn’t kill anyone or thing that day – no, she wouldn’t make her first kill into years later – but she had still felt the fear and excitement of battle. Everything was so cramped in and enclosed, and there were wrestling and deceased bodies everywhere. She made her way out whilst being covered by two older Ares campers that were grinning scarily all the while as if this was the best thing that had ever happened. She had been slashed at, and was bleeding quite a lot, but outside were many campers ready for the injured and the overflow of enemies that were probably going to try and make a run for it, driving her straight back to camp and healing her straight away.
There had been many deaths on their side, and nearly everyone on Kronos’ side had been wiped out. Rose had been told, when the list of the dead came home, that Christian and Harry had been in the heart of the battle, and had both fallen. Harry’s body had never been found however, so he had just been presumed dead.
Camp was Rose’s new home from now on.

Physical Appearance:
Rose’s hair is probably the first thing people notice when looking at her, considering it is a bright orange in colour. It flows down past her shoulders and ends mid-back, curling slightly at some parts whereas staying straight in others. It can get greasy quite easily, so Rose has to make sure that she washes it properly everyday; although she would anyway, seeing as she is a granddaughter of Aphrodite after all, and looks meant a lot to her and family. She resents split-ends, always making sure that the ends are perfect and straight. She will literally trek halfway across New York just to get a satisfying cut from her favoured hairdressers.
On to Rose’s eyes, which are quite a flat and dark green colours. In the light, of course, they can appear more of a grass green, contrasting with her hair even further. She yearns for different colour eyes; perhaps an electric blue like the Zeus children, or perhaps a more unusual colour, but still. Her eyelashes are thick and dark, looking as if she is forever wearing mascara, although this is wrong. Rose isn’t really the type of girl that wear’s make-up, despite being a daughter of Aphrodite. This is probably been slightly influenced by being brought up around three guys. If she has to wear any cosmetic product, it would be a light pink lip-gloss.
An expected package deal with the bright ginger hair is the pale white skin that Rose has, sporting rosy cheeks along with this. No matter how much time she will spend in the sun, it is hard for her to tan and will hardly develop any golden tint to her skin. She doesn’t mind missing out on this slightly superficial look, not wanting to be like the rest of her siblings. She is close to fashion and her family, for sure, but she doesn’t see things the way most of them do. The world isn’t split into the beautiful and the ugly, and she doesn’t care which category she may fall in, so she doesn’t worry about fan tan or anything similar. She s happy with what she is and looks like, not going out of her way to be something she isn’t. She is all legs and hair, is Rose; standing at around 5”10, but having very long legs. She doesn’t know or care whether this is a good thing or not.
Not normally wearing very flattering items of clothing, a person is most likely going to find Rose wearing tight jeans, leather boots and a over-sized flannel shirt over a plain shirt. She doesn’t really differentiate between other types of clothing, perhaps wearing a pair of denim shorts or a skirt once in a blue moon. She also only owns three pairs of shoes; sandals, sneakers and her boots.

Personality:
Despite being a granddaughter of Aphrodite, Rose doesn’t really accept her stereotype. The Apollo side comes more naturally to her, despite choosing to live in the cabin of love and beauty. She doesn’t enjoy all eyes on her, and doesn’t do much to get herself any attention. The only time she doesn’t mind people looking at her is when she is on stage, playing the piano or singing or something along those musical lines. She doesn’t like to talk about herself either and is very modest when it comes to achievements and abilities.
Rose is also quite boyish, and you can normally find her with the Hermes children, getting ready to plan pranks on her own family and other Demigods. This is of course due to being around three boys most of her life, who were only twice her age, which isn’t a lot when you think about it. She wouldn’t say she is ore comfortable around boys than she does girls, but she does certainly hang out with them as much, if not more. She feels at home, in a way, when around members of the opposite sex. It is ironic; how bad with romance and beauty she is. Life is literally a playground to her, and she wants to young forever, but she would never do anything similar to get this. She wants to be young in spirit, not appearance.
Another thing is that Rose never actually shut up. Her mouth is always running away with itself. She is also extremely daring, and you will often finding her climbing trees, or wanting to go and annoy the Ares kids just to see the dark shade of red their faces go as they chase her around camp, waving their fists around threateningly. She doesn’t follow the rules and is often skipping around of camp, not caring about what would be said. She will literally just sit there, while everyone is out at the arena or something similar, flipping people off as they walk past and messing around. Trouble finds her a lot, and she also causing most of it.
Despite all of this, it is obvious that Rose is a sweet girl that just doesn’t take a lot seriously. However, if there is any sign of Kronos or a monster around the city of camp, she will be there in the front line, rage taking over her. She wants revenge for what happened to her family, and doesn’t care if she gets knocked down in the process. Many people around her have to literally hold her back in order for her not to get herself killed fighting just to satisfy an anger that seems to consume her every time danger comes close. She will also get in fights if something bad is said against her family.

Fatal Flaw:
  • Rose throws herself into any danger if she is emotional about something connected with it. She doesn’t care if she dies fighting for it.
  • She doesn’t want to learn or grow up, and will not listen to anyone if they try and tell her that she needs to do something she doesn’t want to.
  • She is extremely claustrophobic and scared of the dark.

Pets:
“Oh my gods. Rider is the best dog ever, I swear!”

Rose has a puppy beagle called Rider because of the film Tangled, where she promptly fell in love with the main character who was very adventurous, so she wanted to go on adventures with a Rider.

Weapons:
“I named my blade Squishy, and he will be mine and he will be my squishy. Then I like it when I hurt people, and I get to say ‘Bad Squishy!’”

Rose has childishly named a celestial bronze knife ‘Squishy’, which she hides within a pocket on the inside of her boot. Yeah…

Talents:
    “I don’t have any; too over-rated, man.”
  • Rose doesn’t really any powers or talents out of the ordinary, except she is really quite good at playing the piano, guitar and is a good singer. Plus she can pick up other instruments quite well.
  • She has very good healing abilities, often deciding to hep down at the infirmary on days in which she is not going crazy around camp, which isn’t often.

Year-Round or Summer:

I don’t even know what sort of thing is meant to go in this section…

james liam carter
Nickname:
“It’s normally something not-repeatable.”
None

Age
Fifteen

Birthday:
March 25th

Gender:
Male

God Parent:
Ares

Claimed:
Yes

Mortal Family:
“If anyone talks about my family…lets just say I’m not afraid of jail.”
Rebecca Carter (Mother) and Grant Dickenson (Mother’s boyfriend)

Years in Camp:
Two

Brief History:
James was born in one of the rougher ends of London, living with his single Mother who had only just turned nineteen. Rebecca was an alcoholic, and James had to grow up fast if he wanted to look after himself. With his Mother in and out of rehabilitation, James had to spend many months at a time with his Grandparents in Miami and was doing this from the age of six till he was eleven when his Mother finally got off the rails and he went home to London to live with her for good. Was he didn’t expect on his return was his Mother to find herself a boyfriend, who was one of the nicest, kindest man James had ever met and Rebecca had met him at Rehab.
James’s school life had been affected massively as well with having been taken to Miami back to London every few months. It didn’t help that he had ADHD and he picked a lot of fights with others in school and out, most of the time winning but it wasn’t un-usual for his Mother or Grandmother to return to the house and find him with a black eye or broken hand. He was kicked out of many schools because of this and it didn’t help that he couldn’t learn efficiently due to his Dyslexia.
After going a full year off the booze, James was thirteen when his Mother and Grant started to drink again. Grant turned from the nice, kind man that he was sober to an abusive, violent man when he had a few drinks. Grant hit Rebecca when he was angry and sometimes took his anger out of James. James went to his current high school with half of his face covered in cuts and bruises and hadn’t been in a fight for almost two weeks due to help with his RE teacher who was also the schools counselor. He told her all about Grant and how his Mother was too scared to go to the police as the booze made her confused. Miss Monroe called the police and social services took James to leave the United Kingdom for good to live permanently with his Grandparents. He had only been at his Grandparents for a month when his Mother called him from England, telling him all about his heritage. His Grandparents had already known and took him to Camp Half-Blood,

Physical Appearance:
”How could I be this hot?”
James is tall with an athletic build from taking boxing lessons all his life and from fighting a lot. He had brown hair which he normally applies a little bit of gel to keep it back in the tapered hairstyle that he spends a lot of money to get it cut in. In the morning however, it is a shaggy mess so he dislikes seeing anyone before he has done his hair. His eyes change colour depending on what he is wearing. They are either a bright blue or sea green. From traveling back and forth from sunny Miami all his life, James used to stand out at London as everyone there is pale except from him. Many used to think he used spray tan but he was just lucky that his tan could stay for months at a time, only fading slightly. He looks like a bad-boy and is nearly all of the time scowling but when he smiles, dimples form at his cheeks which throws off his bad look for a while.

Personality:
Most of the time, you can see that James is itching for a fight and likes it. He loves getting his fists dirty and arguing with people. He is also a massive flirt which he picked up when he lived in London as he tan set him in another league from the other British boys. He knows exactly how to get a girl and isn’t shy. He is loud, boisterous, cocky and funny; normally the comedian out of the boys in his cabin. What James also is however, unlike other children of Ares, is sensitive because of when he had to look after himself and his Mother when she went of the rails back home. He very rarely lets anyone close enough to see the soft side of him and if they do, he normally tries to hide it behind snarky comments, humor and his temper. He is also very charismatic and can make friends with normally whoever he pleases. He has a habit of using people though.

Fatal Flaw:
He enjoys getting into fight and will sometimes pick fight with people over the smallest things and even if he is outnumbered, he would rather get a beating than back down. His pride is too big for that.

Pets:
None.

Talents:
“My talent; picking up girls.”
Because he lived in Miami and England all his life, he can switch accents whenever he pleases but he normally speaks in his true British accent which helps him pick up girls (If you can count this as a talent). He can box better than most his age.

Weapons:
He likes to use his fists so he got a Hephaestus camper to make him two rings that transformed into a pair of knuckle-dusters whenever he pressed the symbol down on the top. Other than that, he just sticks with a plain celestial sword and shield.

Birthday:
June 20th

Gender:
Male

Place of birth:
“I have to be one of the only Brits at camp. Awesome…not.”
Hackney, London, England

God Parent:
Dionysus

Claimed:
Yes

Mortal Family:
  • Margaret Clark – Mother - Deceased

Years in Camp:
Five

Brief History:
Opening the front-door to their small apartment slightly, Drake’s eyes widened as he peeked through the small crack between the wood, hearing the shouts of his mother and another man. The young teenager didn’t know what to do but enter, hoping he would be able to find a way to grab his mother’s mobile from her bedroom. It was obvious that his mother needed his help, so he thought that the police would be the only way forward. He got into a crawl, keeping close to the walls as he squeezed his eyes closed, trying to stay in the shadows. He didn’t want to look at his mother, scared of what he might see. He could hear the cussing, and the yells from the other side of the room, and tried to black it out. He tried so hard to ignore it. Because of this, Drake hadn’t been paying enough attention to realize that there was a new pile of cardboard boxes staked to his right, his foot getting caught on it and bringing them all tearing down on top of him.
“Oh look. Your little brat gets to see the entertainment.” The man grinned gleefully, pulling the young boy out from beneath the paper rubble and holding his high by the back of his neck and hair, Margaret finally coming into the boy’s view. Drake sobbed at the sight of his mother and her bloody mess and the pain of his hair tearing out. “Say good-bye to your mummy, kid.” The man laughed, plunging a knife beneath the folds of his mother’s coat, and Drake was forced to watch her die and go eternally limp. Before Drake’s screams could escape his mouth as the man turned to him, the door was knocked down by an army of luminous yellow jackets.

Margaret Clark had always been brought up in Hackney, London. Many people would be quick to say that it isn’t exactly the best area to bring up a child and family, yet the woman had never had enough money or ambition to move away. She stayed where she was, remaining to be unemployed and too lazy to find work. Even when carrying child, she had never made any attempt to go out and find work. This was the problem with the new generation in Britain. There was always so much news about to lack of jobs that are actually available, that many didn’t even bother trying to find any. Margaret had never stayed on in education, and had never qualifications past her GCSE’s. Everyone knew that she had no hope of finding work, so she didn’t try; simple as that.
Drake was finally born, and he wasn’t really born in the best possible environment; on an estate, in a small apartment. There were only three rooms; a bedroom, bathroom and living-room. This meant that his bed had always been the sofa in the front room. There was never enough space for them both, and his mother had never been the best person to grow-up with. She was temperamental, and would only show Drake moments of affection when she had indeed gain more money. You see, Margaret had always made her living off theft. She got many teenagers to steel for her – Drake included, and would then flog the gear to others at discounted prices. She had never got caught, and had quite a good reputation for getting her hands on anything that one might wish for. They probably would have been able to move if Margaret’s whole business had been based around that estate. They would surely be out of any money if they had moved away, so they just didn’t risk it.
Drake had obviously always attended school, but in morning and afternoons he would be out on his bike, delivering the stolen items to those that had paid for them. Drake was quick, and knew the streets of London well enough to avoid getting caught. His friends did it also, and there were at least a half a dozen young boys that would commit to Margaret’s deliveries. Education always came second, in their family. It was the least important. What was important was making money, and Drake had been forced to believe that. He would often skip school at his mother’s requests, and get in trouble. He didn’t care, because he didn’t know any better.
It wasn’t long before his mother’s also got into shifting cocaine, and that’s when thing became a little tougher. The demand for drugs was higher then anything else and it needed a long more work and planning. Drake refused to deliver the stuff, not wanting to ever get in with drugs and such, but his mother was very…forceful. Basically, she would hit him if he didn’t do as he was told. So he was made to deliver it, and started to realize how wrong his mother’s dodgy deals actually were, and how dangerous everything was becoming for him. Class A drugs weren’t a joke, so the thirteen year old had to be especially careful not to get caught.
Little did the family know that the fuzz were sniffing about, acting a customer.
A few months after this drug business started, Drake had been forced to watch his mother brutally murdered in front of his innocent eyes. You see, Margaret hadn’t delivered and followed through with her end of the deal, and once the sum of money was secure in her back-account, she had denied any knowledge of cocaine to this customer. So the guy had been forced to take action into his own hands, intruding the Clark’s apartment and assaulting his mother. But the druggie’s mind was half crazed, and he went a little too far than he had expected, stabbing and killing her. The poor boy had been forced to watch all of this, after being caught trying to ring the police. It appeared that the cops had already been called and soon burst through to entrance before anything could happen to Drake.
Drake was taken to the social-services, having no other family to look after him. As they figured out what to do with him, he was forced to stay in a foster-home in central London. However, he had only been there a week before taken at the dead of night by a group of teenagers and a goat-dude who were apparently taking a ‘field-trip’ in search of foreign Demigods. He had no clue how they found out about him and his heritage, considering he didn’t even know himself, but they told him who he was and took him over to the states and to safety; Camp Half-Blood.

Physical Appearance:
Drake has always been a tall boy, which is expected considering his mother was always quite tall. Now, at the age of eighteen, he has indeed finished growing, reaching the final height of 6”3. He is happy with this height, and can sometimes stand out more predominantly because of this. The English-boy is also quite lean and tan, not having bulging-muscles of any sort. He has never really put much effort into trying to develop abs, and the camp’s training exercises means that he is starting to develop a six-pack, but doesn’t work-out much more outside these activities so he…well, he doesn’t have one.
Now on to Drake’s hair; this isn’t anything out of the ordinary. It is a plain brown colour and cut in a modern hair-style; quite long for a boy. It is round-cut, and ruffled at the front so sticking up slightly. His fringe is quite wispy, and falls before his dark eyebrows. He doesn’t really need to touch it or move it much, considering it is well-structured, and can be pushed up also and spiked. Drake always keeps it down though, preferring it this way, and sometimes deciding to keep it all smooth and flat.
His face is quite chiseled, and has a ‘Greek’ nose. High cheek bones and rosy cheeks. Drakes’ eyes are so dark brown that they are practically black, with splashes of light brown in the center of his eyes, around the pupil. He has a scar on his lower lip and is only noticeable up close. Drake hates it, but he’s been told that it’s cute. When he smiles, small dimples form at his cheeks. He also has a scar on the edge of his right eyebrow, and there is a small line of skin showing where the hair can’t grow back.
Finally, onto Drake’s fashion-sense which also isn’t anything out of the ordinary. You could say he dresses like any other indie guy; wearing snap-backs and over-sized sweaters. Both of his ears are pierced and stretched, and normally has a steel plug going through them both. In the Summer, he only really going around in swim-trunks, not caring what people think of him going shirtless everywhere. Drake never goes without a few Jesus bracelets, string bracelets or a green Day wristband around his left wrist, covering the scar that is there from when he had once cut himself; not wanting people to know and see this.

Personality:
Because of his rough background, Drake has learnt not to show weakness to anyone. He doesn’t cry in front of anyone, because crying is for wimps and girls. He wouldn’t go around threatening to beat people up, but he’s learnt not to let anyone stand on you or the people you care about. He knows how hard the world is, and what it’s like to be on the bottom. He doesn’t treat anyone as a superior and inferior, and tries not to judge others. Drake doesn’t really like violence, and he is a very laid-back guy. His motto, if he had one, would be something along the lines of you only live once or live everyday as if it’s your last. He does indeed try to live everyday like his last, going to parties and having as much fun as he possibly can. He knows that life as a Demigod can be short, so he wants to make sure he can live before he dies.
Drake isn’t cocky, but he isn’t shy. He is somewhere in between. He can be comfortable around anyone really, and can try and fit into any crowd or group with ease. He is the type of guy that will have a conversation with a stranger whilst waiting in a line or something, and end up getting the other person’s phone-number for a chat. He is charismatic and friendly, and works hard to ignore his past and childhood and tries to be the nicest and funniest guy he can possibly be.

Fatal Flaw:
  • Drake still experiences frequent nightmares of his mother’s death. When he does indeed have these, he can sometimes be a little moody and aggressive. He is known for doing stupid things when like this, and has even cut himself once. He would never show anyone, but there is indeed a scar on his left wrist.
  • Drake is very laid-back; to the point where he will literally not put himself out for anybody. He will back away from fights because of this, and can make enemies because he will not put himself out for anybody. What goes around comes around, one could say.
  • He still has some of his bed habits in him, and will stay out late and not go to camp exercises a lot of the time. Even though he has changed in every other way, education and rules are still a waste of time.
  • Drake likes to drink, and has been known to show up at camp early in the morning, absolutely wasted. He knows its illegal to drink at eighteen in America, but it isn’t in Britain, so he doesn’t care.

Pets:
None sadly.

Talents:
Like most children of Dionysus, Drake is able to control the rate of vine growth, yet only for grape and berry plants and…well, any fruit that can be made and used in alcohol. He doesn’t really know what other powers he possesses. He can tell a good alcoholic substance from a bit, if you count that. This is quite good at parties, as he knows what is actually worth drinking and what is just cheap and…well, crap

Weapons:
Because of the fact that Drake doesn’t really like to fight, he just sticks with whatever he is given. This is normally a celestial bronze sword.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-Round

Other:
James Liam Carter and Drake have been friends since childhood, if you count that worthy of going in the ‘other’ section.

posion rationality

I climb in with 'haven't you people ever heard of closing the god damn door, no?'. It's much better to fix these things with a sense of poison rationality.

jacob drew bradford
Nickname:
“I’ve never really a problem with the name Jacob. I mean, it’s not really out of the ordinary, is it? Honestly, I would have preferred it be called something brave and heroic. Jacob just sounds like a little kids name, and it worse when people call me Jake.”

Jake, Jay, etc…

Age:
Seventeen

Birthday:
March 1st, 1995

Gender:
Male

Place of birth:
“I lived in Canada all my life, up until a year ago. I had to move...it's what we planned....”

Toronto, Canada

God Parent:
Nyx

Claimed:
Yes

Mortal Family:
“Dad was, quite frankly, a monster. He was an abusive ass, and I hope he rots in hell.”

Owen Bradford was Jacob’s biological father, also born in Toronto, Canada. He grew up as a privileged young lad, with the money to go to a private school for wealthy and successful families. Owen was set for life, passing a good education and having all that he needed to satisfy him in life. He didn’t want any more, or any less. Well, that was until he met the Greek goddess Nyx, who was posing as a normal twenty year old. Being very attractive, there was no surprise that Owen was drawn to her, and nine months later, he was lumbered with their baby, and she had disappeared. This heartbreak was catastrophic for Owen, but he refused to give up the young son, even though he practically neglected him. No, instead he spent all his money on alcohol, becoming the cruel, harsh man that Jacob had been forced to grow up with.

“There was also this, uh, girl. She wasn’t properly related to me…not by blood, I mean. She was adopted, two years before me. We got on well but I never really saw her as a sister, as such. We, uh, it’s hard to explain. I knew that I loved her more then a brother should, and she felt the same. She meant so much to me. I can barely remember her though…just my feelings…”

Lucy Belle was a poor young orphan, with enough sparks inside her to warm the hearts of many lost people. Before Nyx had come along, Owen had no hope of having a daughter, and therefore chose to adopt this young girl. Obviously, she was still in the scene when she received a little ‘brother’ and was two years older than him. She had to put up with the same things that Jacob did, and the two of them became very close when growing-up. They were pushed together if you will, and because of that they both became closer than they should.

Years in Camp:
One

Brief History:
Spoiler:

Jacob’s life was set to be disaster after disaster from the minute he was born. His Father had immediately become a little unhinged from having his beloved up and leave him, dumping him with a baby born that only seemed to leak fluids and weep tears every time Owen got within a mile radius of him. You couldn’t blame his father at this point of his life, seeing as he had literally been thrown in the deep end without being prepared for anything. Anyone would find this difficult, especially a single man with already one adopted daughter despite the amount of money he did have. At first, he wasn’t sure how to cope, so he kept his children as close to him as possible. He didn’t go out. He didn’t sleep; spending all his time making sure his kids were happy and comfortable and Jacob wasn’t crying. It got to the point where Owen was making himself seriously ill yet refused to go to a doctor; scared that his children would be taken away from him.
Then came the stage of neglect; when Jacob was around a year old and Lucy three. Instead of staying home and looking after them, he would leave them both alone for hours whilst being at a pub, getting drunk out of his mind. He was never aggressive when returning home, but he did indeed treat them as if they were there, only making scraps of food for them. He would sometimes show them some affection, but this had to be only for a hourly period of a week before stumbling down to the local pub once more.
Lucy was affected the worst, and she almost became a piece of furniture to her father, sometimes being hit around. At the age of five, she had seen enough to know that her ‘father’ was in a bad place, yet too young to know what to do. What she did do was try and look after her younger brother, teaching herself how to pour him a bottle of warm milk and get his processed mush ready for him to eat. In hard times, children are pushed together, and this is what happened to Lucy and Jacob.
They both attended school, yet wouldn’t tend to hang-out together at breaks and lunch, considering that Lucy was two years older. When they were young, it seemed like a long age gap, also because Lucy had always been quite motherly towards the little boy. In fact, very few actually knew that the two of them belonged to the same family, and it was obvious that they weren’t related by blood due to the completely different genetics; Jacob’s brown hair and eyes and Lucy’s dark blonde hair and blue eyes. Few people knew about them both being from the same household but never thought much about it. It wasn’t as if their friends were allowed back to their house anyway, considering that their father was probably out at the pub or had brought the pub back home.
Just when the two ‘siblings’ had gotten into the routine of looking after one another, not letting Owen get the better of them both, Owen had forced the decision down on him to attend a boarding-school for boys outside the city, on the border of Canada. The six year-old had no say towards this, and neither did Lucy, so he was sent away despite his screaming and kicking, to somewhere that was very far from Hogwarts.
Whilst Jacob was away in what seemed to be safety, little Lucy was stuck in hell with her adopted father who was becoming more and more abusive. Owen had somehow been able to bribe social services, giving them all a couple of thousand pounds to keep them from sniffing around. Thankfully for her, he didn’t go any further than hitting her, but boy did he abuse her. She would be forced to spend countless weeks on end off school to hide the large purple bruising on the sides of her face, and Owen was still able to keep teachers and police from becoming suspicious. That’s what happened when you had money. You could get away with murder and probably be able to pay people to cover it up for as long as possible.
Jacob’s new life was no walk in the park either. He had joined his new school halfway through the academic year, which meant that everyone already knew each-other and what they were doing. Jake had to pick that all up himself, and it was a lot for the young child. Everyone else was moving onto more difficult tasks, whereas he still didn’t even know what the hell he was doing. Every night, he would dream of Lucy back home, worried about what would be happening to her. He hoped that Owen would be nice to her, but knew that he wouldn’t. It was torture, knowing that somewhere else in the country, someone he cared so much for was being hurt.
But Jacob had the move on, and soon has past life was partly over. Of course, Lucy always played on his mind, the eternal worrying for her always turning his stomach, but you can only hope that the best happened and things worked out, and that’s what he did. He was only young and kids forget. They hope that everything they have seen was just one big nightmare, and this is what Jacob did. He started a new life, where he would have the friends and not worry about the beatings.
“That’s what I always regretted; forgetting about Lucy. I was scared, and I just wanted to move on. Forget that my life was messed about and just be a normal kid, with normal friends, and a normal life. Boarding school, even though the lessons were boring as hell, did that for me. That was, at least, until Dad summoned me back.”

Owen had lived this grand luxurious life-style of booze and girls for so long, it was finally time he had nothing left. Nothing but pennies left in his bank-account. Who did he blame? Lucy and Jacob, of course, even thought Jacob had been on the other side of the country for years and Lucy was just a human punch-bag to him. She was eighteen now, yet still a scared little girl inside. She didn’t know what to do anymore, and Owen had pulled Jacob’s out of his private education. It had been ten years since the ‘siblings’ had been together. Everything about them had changed. They weren’t kids anymore.
Lucy was wary at first, not able to believe how much Jacob had changed. He wasn’t a kid anymore. He had grown, muscled-up, and had an attitude about him that wasn’t intimidating, but very adult. He wasn’t going to put up with any of Owen’s crap anymore, and he wasn’t going to let Lucy get hurt either. He barely knew her anymore, but she had looked after him when he was young, so now it was his turn to look after her.
Owen didn’t try anything for the first few weeks, which gave Jacob and Lucy a chance to get to know each-other again. The more they did so, the more they both realised that they were falling for each-other. They had been pushed together as children in fear, and this was the backlash of that; something that could never be. They needed each-other, and they had to stick up for each-other and trust each-other. They both couldn’t help their feelings for each-other, and they understood each-others pain more than anyone else would be able to.
Spoiler:

Being with each-other seemed to be an escape; a chance for both of them to be normal. They knew what Owen would do to them if he found out, so they planned to run away. It was the only option. They were going to run, make it over to another Canadian city, one of the other coastline smaller towns. They weren’t sure, but they just wanted away. To forget everything, and just live.
That’s what the couple planned to do. Everything was set, and everything was ready. That was until, somehow, Owen found out, and would do everything in his power to stop them. He chased them, drunk out of his mind and filled with piping-hot rage. He wouldn’t let his children get the better of him. He owned them, and if they chose to show him up and defy him, then they deserved to die. Owen, at this point, had driven himself to insanity, and was in no fit state to be reasoned with. He soon found Jacob and Lucy’s hired car driving down an empty road during midnight, ramming his fast sports car right into the back of it, showing no regrets for his last precious possession. He grabbed Jacob from the driver’s seat, pulling him about and started to repeatedly punch him, the boy loosing the strength to fight back. He figured that if he took the blows, then Lucy would have enough time to run as far away as possible. That’s all he wanted; her safe.
Spoiler:

Lucy, apparently, had other ideas however, getting out of the car as soon as Jake had been hit to the ground. She ran, grabbing an empty beer bottle from besides an over-filled trash-can and sneaking behind Owen as he was serving the kicks, bringing it down on his head. It didn’t knock him out or anything like from the movies, but it was another for him to falter, giving Jacob enough time to stumble away, ready to get Lucy out of here.
He had only turned away for a moment as he wiped the blood from his face, but when he looked back at his girlfriend and father, he was met with her blood-curdling scream, watching Owen pull out a gun from somewhere inside his coat pocket, aiming it at her. Jacob ran forward, maybe to tackle Owen, maybe to push Lucy out of the way. He was not sure what he had planned to do, but he ran forward nevertheless, however not being fast enough, being forced to watch the woman he loved brutally murdered.
    “It all seemed so real…”

Jacob breaking into a fit of sobs and falling to his knees, Owen seemed distraught, finally realizing how much of a monster he was. He stumbled away in into the darkness of the night with his gun, never to be seen again. Perhaps he shot himself; Jake always assumed that he had indeed done this, and sure as hell hoped it.
The young teenager stayed with the dead body of his girlfriend not much longer, needing to get out of there. He knew he did, and really didn’t want to be wound up with the police. He had to run, and leave the town like he and Lucy Belle had planned to, still wanting to do everything her heart was set on.
The shadows had always been Jacob’s friends, and he blended increasingly well with them without trying. Bag on his back filled with a good supply of food and drink and his hood pulled over his brown hair, the sixteen year old keep his head down and close to the wall. The only signal that would show that he was there was when the odd car’s headlights would graze over him for a split second, before continuing to rear down the dark and quiet road. The rain pouring down around them was enough the shield the sounds of Jacob’s feet against the side-walk, and he reckoned that he would have enough skill and money to get out of this town instead of being discovered.
“Hey! Boy!” Someone shouted from his car, pulling over on the side of the road besides where Jacob had been standing. Damn streetlight, giving away his position for the unfortunate second of time. Jacob continued walking, not looking back as he heard the guy’s door slam closed “You’re getting soaking wet out here in the rain! C’mon, I’ll give you a lift.”
Jacob shrugged off the man’s hand as it rested on his shoulder, and sped up his pace. He was scared and distraught, the tears only having just stopped rolling down his cheeks and his hands soaked in his own and Lucy’s blood.
“Dude, I really think you should-” The man started, before a massive beast with red eyes ripped through his car, barrelling straight towards them.

Jacob hadn’t made it four miles without being caught up with a hellhound, which almost drove him over the edge again after all the day’s catastrophic events. Thankfully, as he had collapsed against the wall, the man driving the car had been a Demigod in his mid-twenties, realising that Jacob was of some sort of godly heritage and taking him to New York, and to camp half-blood.
Jacob had never told anyone of that day when he first got there, and he had never really planned to, but it had slipped out; one person had been told. Before he was claimed – which was a few months after joining camp – Jake had been made to reside in the Hermes cabin, where he befriended another male camper his age who actually was a son of Hermes. The Hermes boy, Klaus, always had been able to get things easily, and could see how distraught Jake was about all of the events when people told accidentally, catching his closest friend in tears. Even when Jake had been claimed, Klaus was always there for him; planning. Not caring about the consequences of his actions if caught, somehow Klaus was able to get his hands on a small vial of water; the water from the river Lethe, which is also known as the river of forgetfulness. One drop of this would clear a person’s memory completely. Klaus, after much silent planning, carefully drowned a piece of cloth in the liquid, setting it by a fire for a night whilst everyone was asleep, watching as it just…sat there, transforming the liquid into air. The night after, when Klaus was sure that all the liquid had evaporated, he calmed himself down and snuck into the Nyx cabin, holding the cloth on Jacob’s nose, letting him exhale in the fumes. Klaus knew the risks, but he didn’t want one of his only friends to be in such a state. Thankfully, it had gone to plan…sorta. Jacob had lost memory of some of the best and worst parts of his life. He remembered Lucy Belle, but not what happened to her. He remembered what his father had done to them both, but not how he had died. He remembered being scared, and angry and alone, but not always why. What he didn’t remember was Klaus, and the brotherly relationship he they had had. Klaus had taken this risk, and was glad that his friend at least wouldn’t be so sad, even if there was a price.

Physical Appearance:
Jacob has quite long brown hair, which he can wear in many different ways. It is shaved quite short at the sides, and is normally pushed up into a spray or quiff array at the front, but can end just above his thick black eyebrows if left down. Jacob very rarely chooses to wear his hair down however, knowing that he looks older when wearing it up. He doesn’t need to wear any hair products for his hair, as a simple blow-dry will normal keep his hair in structure.
On to Jacob’s eyes, which are a beautiful golden brown in colour, and seem almost liquefied at times. They are shaped with long and thick eyelashes that go lighter at the tip of the lash. Jacob has been told that he has nice eyes, which makes him shrug. He doesn’t really understand it. The son of Nyx also has full lips and few beauty marks located besides mouth and eyes, and on other parts of his body. He also, doesn’t really think much of these either, or anything of his physical appearance. He sometimes, like most his age, gets spots but enough zit-cream can fix and tidy that up.
The young man is quite tanned and tall, standing at about 6”0 after late growth-spurts. He was naturally muscular, but has lately been working harder to maybe get more muscular; trying to make sure he is prepared for whatever he may come across when leaving camp in a few more years. He doesn’t try and impress anyone with the way he looks.
Finally; Jacob’s dress sense, which is pretty schizophrenic. Most days, he settles with a pair of chinos, jeans or shorts, always wearing them pretty low on his hips and revealing his boxers at the back, like modern-day fashion. However, he has been known to wear quite weirder things, like a bandana tied around his forehead and fake black glasses. He doesn’t really care what he looks like. Jake also has a few tattoos, which some people aren’t keen on but again, he doesn’t really give a damn.

Personality:
Jacob still remembers fragments of what happened, yet believes most of them to be a bad dream. The smallest of things can set of the memories; the smell of his father’s alcohol, Lucy’s colour eyes, etc. It is sure that it will all come back to Jacob completely, and when it does, he is probably going to be inconsolable. But because he can’t remember some of the worst bits of his past, he is quite close to a normal eighteen year old. He can be a bit of a goody-goody at most times, not drinking or anything like that, but he is moderately…sane. He laughs a lot, and is almost always smiling. It is almost as if he dedicates himself completely to making others smile because of his abusive past. He remembers feeling sad, and angry and weak, so he makes sure enough people are fine and good.
Another thing about Jacob is that he can be quite…enthusiastic and childish. He doesn’t fight much even if he can box, and he will literally go to all lengths to make people feel okay. A lot of the time, it’s hard for people to keep up with him, especially when he makes plans for them to meet up at dark despite any harpies around camp, and a lot have to sit him down and say something like, “Jake, honey, calm down. We are not going to the cinema at four in the morning.” once he gets an idea, he has to do it. He’s a little like an energetic puppy, needing a lot of people and things around him 24/7.
He isn’t good at pushing people away, and he trusts everyone straight away. He’s too much of a sensitive and nice guy. If a bunch of Ares kids were going to move in a pound him, he would probably throw a punch and run, his battle instincts and ADHD making him punch, but his fear making him run. Of course, you can’t escape much as a Demigod, so Jacob has to try and battle his way through it and make the first punch, even if he doesn’t want someone else to get hurt. He will go out of his way for others, and can be very loud with people he is close with. As much as his friends love him, they sometimes can’t wait for peace and quiet when he’s gone, knowing they’ll get none of that when he’s around. He doesn’t worry about what people think of him, even if he sometimes can’t handle them saying it.
Lastly is Jacob’s protectiveness to the ones he loves. If any of his friends or siblings are being insulted or something, he will literally do anything to make sure they’re feelings aren’t hurt, sometimes going against his normal personality traits and threatening to start a fight. Obviously the real Jacob kicks in before he can, but he’s just like that. He doesn’t like to see people hurt, but doesn’t believe he should hurt people in return. As he says; “Haters gonna hate, potatoes gonna potate.” If the seventeen year old has a girlfriend, he will literally be so protective, it’s ridiculous. Not in the way that he wants to know where they are all day long, but he will not leave them alone for a while if their feelings are hurt or something. This means he normally loses girls, and he’s surprised when he gets them in the first place.

Fatal Flaw:
  • When Jake receives a fragment of an old memory about Lucy’s murder or something, he can get a bit…weird; locking himself up for a day in darkness or something. Of course, he thinks that it’s all a dream, but he’s still affected by it.
  • Jacob is extremely claustrophobic; refusing to take elevators unless necessary.
  • Jake is really quite sensitive, and will be close to break-downs at a lot of criticism.

Pets:
“Chiron won’t let me have a monkey so…”

None currently.

Weapons:
“I don’t really like to fight, so it would be pretty contradictory of me to have a particular weapon to use. So no, I just use a normal celestial bronze sword, because anything fancy is too mainstream.”

Celestial bronze sword and shield.

Talents:
  • Jacob can bring darkness to a room on his own, flowing all his energy into it to dim a place. He doesn’t do it much, considering most aren’t as fond of the dark as he is, but he is still glad of the ability. If ever attacked inside, he darkens the place whilst making his escape. It comes in handy.
  • The young man can also blend into the shadows quite easily, and his eyes are well adapted to the night, seeing almost as good as he can in day.
  • His last power, which is no better than his fist, is that Jacob is strongest in the night. That’s it. “Bogus, right?”

Year-Round or Summer:

keller kidd harris
Nickname/s: Just Keller
Name Meaning: Cellar, One who has a wine cellar
Namesake: Keller has no namesake, though there is a town in Texas named Keller.

Age: 18
Date of Birth: August 3rd

Gender: Male

God Parent: Athena
Mortal Family: Keller's dad was put in jail a couple years ago. His name was Leon "Leo" Harris. Keller and Leo never really got along.
Claimed: Yes

Years in Camp: Eighth
Claiming History: Keller was claimed just a few minutes after entering camp, not unlike he had hoped.
Year-Round or Summer: Year-Round

Brief History:
Keller used to live the typical life of a celebrities kid. He was spoiled, uneducated, and extremely famous. The public's eye was always on him, mostly whenever his father did something stupid, which was almost all the time. Keller's dad was a bit of a party animal type celebrity, even though he was extremely smart. He apparently didn't know what to do with his brains.

While Keller wasn't the best reader, due to his dyslexia, he did inherit both his parents smarts. He did well in her homeschooling, and was even able to convince his father to let him go to regular school. They found soon enough that it wasn't the best idea for Keller, though. He couldn't make friends, and despite his constant attempts, the teachers didn't like him. He was the annoying kid; the best example of him? Kidd Kraddick's Teacher Test character.

So, because of this, Leo pulled his son out of school. Keller didn't like being out of school very much, because he had liked being in a place where he forgot about his real life; the famous life. When you were the annoying, ringleader type, can't keep your mouth student, people didn't give you any special treatment except VIP access to the principal's office.

Well, with Keller not attending school, he had to find other things to fill his time. These things included: Telling his story to the press about how his father beats him on occasion, causing even more trouble at home, and spending large amounts of time at the candy shop. The candy shop was called the Candy Bar. It was a place located in the center of Hollywood, and always crowed with other famous kids. Keller was always the hyper one, his ADHD getting the better of him. He embarrassed his father so much, there at the Candy Bar, that Leo publicly hit Keller. This sparked the attention of the press, and soon Leo was in jail.

Parentless and under the pressure of the entire country, Keller made a snap decision, one of many, to run away. He would run until he was out of energy, and he knew he probably would never stop running if that was his standard. Well, he didn't care. He made it to Washington before a satyr saw the quick kid and stopped him. At first. Keller was scared. It was the first time he had ever been scared of a stranger, but he figured this man wanted to take him back to California. Soon, though. Keller warmed up to Kenny the satyr, and allowed Kenny to take him away. Where? Camp Half Blood.

Physical Appearance:
Keller has dark brown hair, which is either cropped or spiked, depending on the day. It's short, and hardly ever messy, and allows him to blend into the rest of his cabin with ease. It is nothing out of the ordinary. It's really just normal hair, but it does give him the bad/misbehaving look that fits his personality perfectly.

Keller's eyes are almost the same color as his hair, but they are a bit lighter. Of course, they're brown, but they seem to have a touch of gold, making them lighter than his lacking gold hair. Still, his eyes are darker than most people's eyes, but fit in well in the Athena cabin.

Mr. Harris' skin is seemingly perfectly tanned, but only because his father forced Keller to get spray tans. His skin isn't naturally as tan as it appears, though he isn't a pale kid. His father had naturally tan skin, and he got some of Leo's coloring.

Personality: Keller is very sociable, and has no ounce of shyness. He will say what's on his mind, and he he forgot what he was going to say, which happens a lot because he talks quickly and uses different thoughts in the same sentence. He is never shy, and always has a lot to say. As long as he has someone to talk to, he's good.

Keller is a pretty typical fourth grader. He has a big imagination, and comes up with things on the spot. He gets the ability to improvise things from his mother, which is really his quick-mindedness.

Keller has his flaws though too, if you consider his talkativeness not a flaw. He can hardly ever sit still his ADHD is so severe, and it's dangerous for him to move around as much as he does. This was one thing that his father hated about him, and Keller has a tendency to destroy things easily.

He inherited some of his father, too. Keller can judge things without thinking, and he is extremely competitive. He grew up athletic, and his father could afford to put him in select sports. The more athletic he became, the more competitive he got. As his desire to win grew, so did his judgment of others. It was a chain reaction, caused by his father.
Fatal Flaw: Keller's life is an open book. He tells anyone everything. He doesn't think twice about sharing secrets or revealing information to strangers.

Pets: A pet couldn't keep up with Keller. It wouldn't be safe for it.

Demigod Abilities:
~He has extreme ADHD, and minor dyslexia
~Keller is a smart young boy
~Keller is an excellent fighter because he never lets his guard down
~**Keller can send people messages through his mind, but he can't read minds**
~He's fast, which is because of his ADHD
Weapons: Keller owns a switchblade, which turns into a shoe. He doesn't need anything else, because he pays so much attention to his opponents moves that he can block most blows with determination.

Other:
His father will not get out of jail until Keller turns 16. Created by Nico.

it's time to begin
I don't ever want to let you down. I don't ever want to leave this town. Because after all, this city never sleeps at night. It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand? I'm never changing.

So this is what you meant when you said that you were spent? And now it's time to build from the bottom of the pit right to the top. Don't hold back, Packing my bags and giving the Academy a rain check.
I don't ever wanna let you down. I don't ever wanna leave this town. 'Cause after all this city never sleeps at night

It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand? I'm never changing who I am.

So this is where you fell> And I am left to sell the path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell right to the top. Don't look back! Turning to rags and giving the commodities a rain check. I don't ever wanna let you down. I don't ever wanna leave this town. 'Cause after all this city never sleeps at night.

It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand? I'm never changing who I am.

It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand? I'm never changing who I am.

This road never looked so lonely. This house doesn't burn down slowly. To ashes! To ashes!

It's time to begin, isn't it? I get a little bit bigger but then I'll admit, I'm just the same as I was. Now don't you understand? I'm never changing who I am.

christopher jason hunt
Nickname:
“They call me Chris, man. Because you can never diss the Chris…what the hell did I just say…?”

Chris

Age:
Seventeen

Birthday:
June 29th, 1995

Gender:
Male

Place of birth:
“Oregon, man. The home of sexy.”

Oregon, United States of America

God Parent:
“Look at me right now. Who do you think my godly parent is?”

Aphrodite

Claimed:
Yes

Mortal Family:
“I didn’t know my real dad, but from what I know of him, he was a nice guy. I wish he could be here for me right now, but I’m sure he’s in a better place.”

Peter Hunt worked as a businessman in Oregon, living away from all his family and out of touch. He suffered from depression growing up, so he had always been pretty detached from them all, seeing as he never really considered himself to be normal. After a one night stand and an unexpected baby at his door, Peter knew that everything he wanted could be invested in this small child, and he would look after Chris with his life.
“I consider her my mom, at least, even though she, well, isn’t. And dad is just awesome.”

Maria Lee and Andrew where the family that took in Chris when he was a small child, along with two other children from different care-homes. She was unable to have children herself, but the lump blond woman wouldn’t let it get in her way of her love for a huge family, adopting Rebecca before Chris and Harry afterwards. Despite the three children enviously not family, they still were brought up to act like so, and Chris and Rebecca would spend countless hours swearing and fighting with each-other, in a way only siblings can.

Years in Camp:
Five

Brief History:
Chris was five months old when Peter was killed in a car crash, on a way to a business meeting just out of Portland. They never really had anyone to look after each-other growing up, so the small baby was taken into care. He didn’t have any thoughts or memories about Peter, considering his small age, but he would later be shown many home movies and pictures made of his father to come to a solid conclusion that Chris would be lucky to end up like his dad, who seemed to be a very kind and decent man, despite everything he went through in life with his depression.
The son of Aphrodite was adopted almost immediately at the care-home, and was brought up until around ten to believe that Maria and Andrew were his parents. He had always questioned his older sister’s blonde hair and tanned complexion, and later questioning his little brothers ginger hair and freckles, but he was just a small child. He wasn’t interested in why mommy hadn’t become fat when Harry was apparently in her stomach, and why his older sister had a different name to him. Eventually all was revealed, but it didn’t make Chris change any of his opinions on them; they were family, after all, and that was the most important thing to him. It didn’t matter if his older sister was hotter than she should be, or that his little brother was the geekiest yet cutest thing to probably walk the planet. He loved them, and that was all that mattered.
“Oh dude, I was on a roll that day. So picture it; me sitting at the back at some sucky English class with the head-cheerleader! Oh man, she wanted me. I could tell. I bet I would’ve been able to get her number off her and make-out with her after period if that stupid beast hadn’t burst in.

Chris was fourteen when his life was taken from normal and happy to depressing and hard. He had been almost fifteen, in school and about to lean in to whisper some…inappropriate things into a girl’s ear when the door was knocked down, revealing a huge ogre of a beast. The mist shielded everyone else eyes, the fire alarm going off and all the normal teenagers running out of the building, but Chris found himself in the corner of the class, frozen to the spot as this mythical beast advanced towards him. He didn’t know whether he was about to be killed or dreaming, and literally passed out when his English teacher ripped off his trousers to reveal furry legs, got up of the table and killed the huge monster with a slash of a sword, turning it into dust. Chris would never admit to any of this, but, he fainted that day, waking up in the back of a van with the English teachers and his family, who had wet cheeks from the dried tears.
The Satyr told Chris that he had been following a scent of mass monsters heading to Oregon for many a time, eventually realizing that there must be a young Demigod about. He relocated their family to New York so Chris could stay near camp, where he went every summer. After a year and realizing how dangerous it was to live with his normal family whilst knowing his heritage, Chris moved into camp permanently, even if he often left to go and spend a few weeks back with the Lee’s.

Physical Appearance:
“I am just a babe magnet.”

Chris has naturally curly hair that is quite long, and can be a pain in the ass when left to grow without being cut or groomed. It’s thick and dark brown in colour, and always seems to get in his eyes. He’s gone through may haircuts in the past few years – swapping from being blonde and straight to his natural brown curls – but lately seems to just cut his hair short and full of gel, making sure that it is up off his face. His eyes are a light shade of brown that almost look amber when beneath the sun’s rays. Along with his curls, he thinks that this is the best part about him…along with his abs, of course.
He is blessed with having nice skin and few blemishes that limit themselves to few scars here and there, but nothing too obvious. He has never really been one for spots or acne of any sort, which he is extremely thankful for. He thinks his life would end if he got a spot, and whenever he does have the odd one, his voice goes really high and strained and he gets pathetically stressed.
The son of Aphrodite is also quite skinny, reaching above six foot in height. He has some muscle to him, but doesn’t really care to have all the biceps and bulging veins that most guys crave to have badly, preferring to just mar his body forever with endless strings of tattoos. He currently has three; one on his chest that reads ‘to live would be an awfully big adventure’, one on his upper left-arm of an omega symbol, and a ring of black thorns extending around his wrist. He is considering expanding it completely into a sleeve, but isn’t sure he wants it yet.
Christopher normally chooses to wear tight skinny jeans or chinos that are rolled up at the bottom to reveal ankle, along with a pair of Vans and a tight fitting shirt. Over the years, his look has become more and more punky, but has his moments. He is also normally wearing a hoodie or sweater, not caring about comfort and only about appearance.

Personality:
Chris is both serious and kind, but can never be both. The older he gets, the more of a jerk he can become, often doing things to hurt people without even thinking or caring about it at the time. Of course he has enough of a conscious to try and stop and fix it all afterwards, but most of the time it is too late. He has a fear that one day he will end up not caring about some else’s feelings, and the thought repulses him, so he just tries to be as much as an uplifting guy that he can be, not wanting to let anyone see the frown beneath his smile.
Another thing about the seventeen year old iss that he can be very immature at a lot of times, often saying and doing things without thinking them through first; this can normally land him in a lot of trouble and he can lose friends because of this, but most just accept that this is who he is and what he does. He can’t change who he is, and most realize how much of a laugh it all is when discovering this about him. He will be spontaneous, and he will be fun. He wants to die young and handsome anyway, so it doesn’t really matter what he does.
Chris is also really quite vain, and enjoys coming across arrogant and cocky around people even if he isn’t inside. He does it to wind others up, and you will also see a huge grin on his face when he is trying to piss or mess with people. It’s all just a laugh, of course, but some people can be a bit taken back by this. Plus they can be doubtful towards his attitude towards others, being pretty full-on with others, no matter what gender. He is always in contact with someone else. It can make most do a double take when he has his arms around a guy’s shoulders, or is actually on their shoulders, but he really doesn’t care what people think about him. Why should he?

Fatal Flaw:
  • Chris is in all places at once, trying to defend everyone around him. He can get a bit out of control; surrounded by hate and rage.
  • He has mood-swings quite a lot, which means that he can do things without meaning to at first.
  • Christopher doesn’t let things go easily.

Pets:
None currently

Weapons:
    “I love you.”

A average celestial bronze sword and shield.

Talents:
“I honestly don’t have any, except for looking pretty.”
  • …he looks ‘pretty’.

Year-Round or Summer:
Year-Round

Other:
I will add more detail to this in the near future….

live while we're young,
If I was your boyfriend, I'd never let you go. I could take you places you ain't ever been before. Baby take a chance or you'll never ever know; I've got money in my hands that I'd really like to blow.
SWAG SWAG SWAG ON YOU.
