Time for new friends (selene)

Markus made his way out to the forest hangout place. It was an old favorite of his that he hadn't visited since his return to camp. The forest was always a good place to meet new people, too, and Markus needed some new friends. He had met a few people at the beach, but most had been really young, which wasn't the kind of friends that Markus was looking for.

Walking into the clearing, Markus scanned the room, per se. No one he knew was there, which wasn't a surprise. He spotted an empty seat next to a pretty girl. Wallking up to her, Markus asked, "Is this seat taken?"

I smiled. "No, it's not. You can sit there if you like," I said politely. It wasn't anything like me trying to be polite.

Markus gave the girl a nod. "Thanks," he said as he sat down. "I'm Markus Jones, by the way, son of Hephaestus." He offered her his hand so she could shake it. After all, she had been so polite that he figured he might as well be too.
