Subject: First Date in the City(Rhymer) Wed Jun 15, 2011 9:54 pm

I had walked to the Ares Cabin. It's not like I was going to get super dressed up or anything. I wore a white V-neck tee with a black hoodie sweatshirt over it. Then, just some black jeans and black vans with white laces. His Long blond hair was recently straightened, (though it was already straight), and over his left eye. He had pulled out his tongue piercing,(no, primarily to look better, not for what anyone else is thinking),. He sighed. He didn't bring a flower. If she wanted one, he could make one sprout up from the ground. He put on axe, but not enough to make you puke or anything, just for it's primary purpose: to make you not sweat and smell okay. He swiftly dodged all of the mines and sat on the front steps of the cabin, waiting for Narcissa.

I was screaming at my cabin mates inside. "FOR THE LAST DAMN TIME I AM NOT GOING ON A DATE AND I DO NOT HAVE A SOFT SIDE!!! I'M GOING TO THE CITY OKAY?!" I was being the usual jerk people saw. Someone had then screamed "I CALL BS! YOU NEVER DRESS UP IN NORMAL CLOTHES!" I retorted with "Well duh Sherlock because I can't wear armor when I'm going to a place filled with mortals!" I then flung a nearby spear at his head which he dodged. The same guy had said something rather inappropriate in response and I said something just as bad right at him. "Have fun!" another guy called out as I was leaving and I flipped the bird.

I walked out the cabin and made sure to close the door so they wouldn't see that someone was waiting for me outside. I gave Quinnly an awkward smile. I was wearing a heart choker, a black t-shirt with a deep v neck, a red skort, which was a skirt with attached shorts underneath, and some red and black sneakers that had straps instead of laces. My hair had been neatly brushed and it was nice and straight. There was a red headband in my hair with a tiny skull on it. I felt awkward in what I was wearing. "I hope I look okay." Nervous laughter followed. Then I shook my head and reverted to a less shy Narcissa. "Well come on now, let's go."

I laugh," Sounds like a lovely hang out in there. We could've just had the date in there, Narcissa.", I laugh. I make a vine grow through the floor of the cabin. Shouts are heard as it tosses spears and swords at people, hit them around, knock over bunks, and tear up stuff. Finally, they cut it into tiny pieces. I laugh hysterically before shouting the F bomb at them through the window and running with her away from the cabin. "You look great, Narcissa.", I smile. She did look great. Amazing in fact." Seriously, amazing."

I take her hand and escort her out of the camp. Anyone who looks, is welcomed by my sword that's in my free hand until we reach the camp border. I sigh and take and almost reluctant step out, changing my sword back to a sword shaped earring. "Flower?", I offer, making a red rose sprout out of the ground and holding it out to her.

All the sudden I heard a commotion inside the cabin. I had a feeling it was Quinnly's doing. He really was crazy. Usually I would be getting pissy, but hey, I wasn't in there. I ended up laughing instead as we ran away. "You are crazy." Then he complimented me on how pretty I looked. I felt a slight blush come on. I never had gotten a compliment like that. Then again I would've thrown a spear at the guy's head anyway. I was then escorted out the camp. No one was looking because the ones who did were scared off by Quinnly's blade. He really was trying to keep it a secret. I was impressed. Once we were outside the camp, we had nothing to worry about. A red rose was handed to me and I kindly accepted it. I happen to like red roses. There's just something about them that attracted me. Of course they were often associated with romance so there was no way in hell I was going to say anything about them in camp. "Why thank you." A smile grew on my face.

I smile. I think I'm on the date with one of the most amazing girls right now.Gorgeous, just gorgeous, and people reading, don't think I'm shallow. She was amazing for her personality too, not to mention she overcame her mothers death a heck of a lot better than I did. Not to mention she could hold her own in a fight and had a nice side. This was the perfect date," I know the city pretty well, I usually hang out there when I don't feel like being at camp. I know a great movie theater, an amazing restaurant, a few good gift shops, and a whole bunch of other things to do. But, you pick what you want to do.", I smile brightly, still holding hands, I interlock our fingers and continue walking towards the city.

It was good that my date knew about the city because I absolutely did not. It was sad considering the fact I had been in the state of New York for who knows how long. I had went places with my mom when I was younger. When I was sent to camp, I didn't leave camp. The only times I did were to fight some monsters somewhere, not go out on a date in the city. The two of us were holding hands as we continued on to the city. An amusing thought came to me. I was walking in sneakers. Other girls would've been walking in heels. I imagined all the whining coming from those foolish girls. Going back to our date, I thought about where I wanted to go. I wasn't hungry yet and I didn't want to go to a gift shop. The movies....I hadn't seen a single movie since Mom passed away. "How about taking me to the movies?" I was starting to like this guy. I was a little afraid to admit it though.

I smile. She wasn't pulling away when I held her hand, wasn't being rude or mean, and accepted the rose I gave her. Things seemed to be going okay," In all honesty, do you want some kind of action movie, or something romantic? I'm not really sure which one you'd pick.", finally, I see a busy street."Welcome to New York, home of bad hot dogs, bus fumes, open sewers, unfriendly people, and Broadway.", I sigh a little bit and shrug," I don't mind the city, but I still like the forests.", I said, accidentally,"But it doesn't matter, I'm on a date with an amazing girl, I think I can handle the city.", he covered and started walking towards the movie theatre that was only about a 10 or 15 minute walk. I thought it was weird I was getting looks like I was too young to be out My Gods he thought "I'm 16 and have a double bladed sword that can tear you in half. Give me some space.", he mumbled.

I couldn't help but grin a little. "Even when my nice side's showing, romance films make me sick. I want to see some action!" We had arrived to New York. I listened to Quinnly summarize the whole city. Well New York didn't sound like such a great place. Then again, I didn't remember it being all peachy when I did come here anyway. It would make sense that this guy would like the forest better than the city. I felt a little bad making him take me to this urban jungle. Then quickly he said another compliment about me. "Well well, aren't you the charmer?" We were continuing on when I noticed some people giving weird looks. The mean part of me emerged for a short moment. "HEY! What the hell are you looking at? Turn around!" The people quickly turned away as I shook my fist at them. I then sighed and put it down. "Sorry, couldn't help it."

I stifle a laugh as Narcissa yelled at them."No worries, it was kinda funny.", I continue walking, I look at to the other side of the road an see a person, he looked very handsome. Brown hair, goatie, green button up, brown slack, briefcase, fedora. I felt a warmth inside me. It was my dad. He was watching over me tonight. I smiled brightly in thanks and he disappeared. We finally arrive at this gigantic theater and walk inside to a humongous air conditioned lobby. " Alright, you pick the movie. Don't worry, I'll pay for the tickets.", I smile.

We continued on through the masses of people. It was way too crowded here! Couldn't they extend the streets or SOMETHING? My Gods there were so many people! I didn't notice anyone particularly special. I didn't expect to anyway. We were at the movie theater. We entered inside the lobby. It was rather cool due to the air conditioning. Now a movie had to be decided. I glanced at what was out now. After looking at the list, I actually ended up choosing a horror movie instead of an action flick. Why? Because I felt like seeing one. I never actually looked at one before. I've seen a thousand of action flicks and a lot of them were the same. So called macho guys running through explosions and saving people. I also wanted to see if I actually got scared. Usually I would try something like that on my own, but I felt comfortable getting scared in front of Quinnly and a bunch of people who didn't know me. For once I wasn't hiding. Plus the theater was going to be dark anyway if I remembered it right.

I smile" A horror movie huh?", I grin," Yah, I like horror, because the killer usually gets knifed or shot or burned, and, they just kind of creep me out, don't ask me why I like being creeped out. But something tells me you won't be scared.". Yah, fat chance she's gonna be scared and jump in your arms Quinnly. She's probably tougher than you. He sighed, bought the tickets, a bucket of popcorn, and led her into the movie theater that could probably seat about 450 people.

"I don't know about that Quinnly....I've never exactly watched a horror movie before." I confessed my lack of experience with horror films. It was okay, he wouldn't judge me. We entered the theater together and sat in the middle. More and more people were coming in after us to see the movie. I tasted a bit of the popcorn. It was alright. It wasn't that it wasn't well made, just that it wasn't my type of food. For some reason I never really had a taste for popcorn. So we sat there as the previews played. Soon after what felt like a thousand previews the movie started. It was fine at first. Then that's when I came to learn the plot. A game filled with bloody torture and run by a psychotic killer. I started shifting uncomfortably in my seat. Then there was a part in the middle where I almost screamed. To prevent that, I clung to Quinnly. I hope he didn't mind. I was blushing from slight embarrassment. How could I get so scared from a FICTIONAL film?

I grinned a little as we sat down in the center of the theater as several other people filed inside."Oh, you haven't seen a horror film before? No big deal. This one isn't supposed to be to bad.",. Grrr, so many previews. Kiddie movies I'd never have an intrest in seeing, stupid cartoons where complete morons would do all kinds of stupid stunts that would get them killed in the real world, but unfortunately in their world, they were never even harmed. Why would they show such cild previews before a horror movie? That made no sense. Though, their was one or two about anime I didn't mind. Though I would never admit it, I was a sucker for all kinds of that Japanese junk. "Finally, the movie!", I muttered impatiently as the movie began. So, a torture game run by a phyco killer, sounds like a movie very suitable for young children. There was one part though, where some unlucky guy was shoved into a meat grinder, where Narcissa did get scared and cling to me. Doing my best to hide a grin, I put my arm around her. Finally, the killer was over thrown and the prisoners were set free. I tossed the empty popcorn bucket and led Narcissa out of the theater."So, where to now?", I asked.

Trying to recover from the fear from before, I kept an emotionless face and tried taking deep breaths. After a moment, I was fine. I gave Quinnly an embarrassed smile. "....That can't really happen right?" Wait, why did I say that?! "Sorry, stupid question. Um...this is going to sound strange, but I'm kind of hungry." I mean really, I just saw people going through bloody torture. For heaven's sake, a guy got shoved into a meat grinder! Then again it wasn't real. Narcissa, keep your composure for Gods' sake. You look absolutely silly. At least the most I did was cling to my date's arm. Nothing more. So that meant I had some form of stomach, right? Not as much of one as I thought though. Some rude people shoved past me. I went from sweet and scared Narcissa to fierce warrior Narcissa within a second. I glared at them and immediately my hand was about to reach for where my blade would be, but then I remembered I had no weapon on me. So I ended up holding Quinnly's hand once more.

Plus, I don't think it's a very classy thing to do on a first date. a third, maybe, but a first, it's just not right", I say jokingly. "Okay, so, what type of food would you like? Italian?Chinese?Japanese?French?Canadian?German?Mexican? I know jsut about everything you can get anywhere.".

I couldn't help but laugh at his joke. Funny guy, that he was. Also very good at analyzing other people. He was able to figure me out so well. Even if I did bother putting up my tough act, he could see right through it. So we were outside once more. I thought for a moment about what kind of food I wanted. I then reached a decision. "I'm thinking Italian. Those bastards got lucky." With a devilish smile on my face, I would follow my date to the next location. My Gods New York was crowded. No wonder people were so impatient and rude in this city.

Sorry to sound redundant, but you look beautiful, really, you do.", I kiss you ont the cheek and move passed a lot of rude people. One guy walkes straight into us and knocks me over. "Watch where your going!", he shouts, turning to face me,"He, don't get all pissy, you walked into me.", the man begins"That's no way to talk to an adult and-", "Yah, Yah, have a nice night, try not to barrel through some cars.", I say taking your hand again and moving forward, finally arriving at the resteraunt. "So, how's the date gone so far?", I ask.

"Well then I can't wait for the third date then." I winked back as our fingers interlocked. All in all, it was a nice evening. The date was going pretty good. I blushed slightly as he kissed me. No punches this time, Quinnly. We kept going on our way when some jerk knocked Quinnly over. The jerk then pulled some adult bull crap. "TRY NOT TO KNOCK OVER A BUILDING FAT ASS!!!!" I called out as we were moving on. What? I wasn't about to let the bastard get away without an insult. We arrived at the restaurant. "I have to say this has been a rather nice date, if I do say so myself. I must warn you though, I'm not one of those salad-eating chicks." I wasn't joking either. I could really eat. I tried restraining myself multiple times before, but all those attempts failed.

I laugh at Narcissa's insult and smile when she doesn't punch me when I kissed her. Then, I smile even brighter when she says the date has been going well,"Good, I'm glad you've liked it so far, and I don't expect you to be. To be totally honest, most girls like that are very stuck up. Especially the Aphrodite kids, my Gods, I can't stand them. Walk through their cabin and you're barfing by the time you leave.", I pretend to gag. " But, anyways, let's go in.", I hook my arm in yours and lead you in. It's nothing extremely fancy, but it's definitely a nice place to eat. I talk to the hostess and she leads us to a booth near the window. I smile at you, not wanting to take my eyes away.

I laughed as I thought of those stuck up brats in Aphrodite's cabin. I couldn't see Quinnly hanging out with any of them. "Oh trust me, you have no idea how many times I've done things to their cabin. Whoops, don't tell them about the stink bombs! Their cabin reeks of perfume and crap anyway." We went inside a booth by the window. I was smiling back at him. At the same time I rather hoped he wouldn't look at me while I was eating. It would've felt awkward with all the stuff I would eat. "You know what, I'm starting to really like you. Before I wanted to gut you with my blade. Now I think you're too cute for me to." I wasn't sure how he would take me saying that. We had menus and I took a look. I could feel my stomach growling. Okay, I definitely was not going to be eating like a bird this evening.

I know we come from two different worlds, you're war and I'm supposed to be nature and peace, but when your nice, we sort of, meet in the middle. And I hope we get to have a second date.", I reach across the table to hold your hand, but then, three Ares kids come stumbling in"+%^^&!@#$(@$^*#++_(#_)()@@$%&*!(#*)@~~@$~!", I mutter under my breath,"What are we gonna do? You should hide, I'll deal with them." I say, pulling back my hand.

Romantic words were being said, laughter was had, and jokes were stated. Such a nice time we had. I was really liking Quinnly. He was a pretty cool guy to be with and he knew exactly what to say. My hand was going towards his. "Oh Quinnly, I-" I didn't get a chance to say anything romantic (or cheesy) back when a bunch of loud guys came into the restaurant. To my horror I recognized them. They were my half-siblings! What the heck were they doing here?! Oh no, I thought as I was glancing over. I had to hide quickly. No way in hell was I going to let them see me like this. They were NOT about to see me get all romantic with some guy in a booth. I quickly pulled my hand away and hid. I cursed to myself as I was hiding. My date would deal with them.

All three of them see me and walk over."Hey Q", one of them says. I hate it when anyone calls me that, but dare I protest now? No. "How goes it guys?", I ask, sounding friendly. I stand up to face them." Oh, not bad.", one says, stepping forward,"Just looking for our friend Narcissa, know anything about that.", I contort my face to look confused,"Narcissa? Whos's that? One of your half siblings or something?", I ask."Yah. Our half sister. Don't happen to know where she'd be, would you?", the same one asks."No. I really don't know who that is. I-","Who you here with Q?", another one interrupts."Myself. Why do you-", "Oh please! We know you're-","Hey!", I raise my voice a bit,"Stop interrupting me! I'm not here with anyone! Got that? Now, I just want to eat.". The third steps forward", Oh please, Q! We had people tell us you left camp together! And your the son of Pan. You're the only one who could make that vine that tore our cabin apart!". I smirk," Well, clearly, you Ares kids are dumber than I thought, now leave me a- Hey!", All 3 of them lift me up and toss me in the back alley, all drawing swords. I change my earing into it's massive double-blade sword for."Fine! Let's fight!".

I was hiding and waiting for my date to come back. My idiot half-brothers just HAD to show up and start crap. I know the cabin was torn up, but for heaven's sake! It was of no convenience to me. Why did the Fates have to go against us? Most importantly of all, I hated waiting. This was exactly why I avoided being nice. I watched the entire scene. I was showing getting angrier and angrier as the scene proceeded. Times like these was when I wished I had my sword. However I did not. Maybe I should've gotten one of those earrings that turned into swords or something like that. It would be rather easy to carry then. I made a mental note to head to the Forge later. When I saw my half-brothers lifting Quinnly up, I had enough. I stood up, my body shaking with rage. I followed after them, making sure that they didn't see me just yet. I then picked up a pipe I located on the ground and went over. These guys were about to experience my wrath.

"YOU IDIOTS!!" They would soon turn to a pipe being bashed against their heads. I beat each one of them with the pipe, screaming all kinds of curse words. Once they were all down I tossed away the pipe. "WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING RUNNING AROUND NEW YORK WITH SWORDS?! HOW STUPID ARE YOU?! WHAT'S YOUR PROBLEM, I SAID I WAS GOING OUT! I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO SEE YOU BASTARDS WHILE I'M SITTING IN A RESTAURANT TRYING TO GET SOMETHING TO EAT! YEAH, I WENT OUT TO THE CITY INSTEAD OF TRAINING TO HAVE SOME FUN, BIG WHOOP. IF I SEE YOU BASTARDS STALKING ME I'M GOING TO RIP YOU A NEW ONE AND MAKE YOU WISH YOU WERE NEVER BORN! GET OUT OF MY SIGHT, NOW!" I had snapped entirely. All I saw was red. I was willing to beat their butts with my bare fists if I had to.

I was going to fight them all, but my plans were interrupted. They were about to strike..... when all of their heads got bashed in by a metal pipe. Narcissa to the rescue. I smile and nudge one with my foot." Out cold.", I say to you,"Probably won't even remember they were here. Just gonna be like,"Why'd we wake up in an alley?", I smile."Not bad.", my sword turned back into an earring."You should probably get one like mine in case more idiots feel like interrupting another date.", I try to smile, let's just go back in and eat, shall we?", I ask, but am already leading her back into the restaurant. I sit back down across from her,"By the way, I don't plan on lugging them around New York, so, they can bring themselves back to camp. The waiter comes over after a few minutes. I order a strawberry fruit cooler and Lasagna al Forno with a bowl of Italian wedding suit soup. He looks at me like I'm not going to be able to pay for a dinner for two, in answer, I hold up a wad of cash that hold about $400. He then turns to you for your order.
