Dante Son of Erebus

I like him, he's really good, but he seems powerful. If his dad is the god of shadows, I don't think sensing death really goes with him. It's more of a Hades thing. Other than that, nice work!

according to some myths Erebus is in control of the places like tartarus and the space that is entered before they reach the underworld so being able to sense them around there would be up his ally though editing out the knowing where they are.

EDIT: When he is accepted wouldnt he be placed in the Hades cabin since in other myths him and hades are the same while others say they are different?

Welcome to CHB, Dante. Your character is great, but he's a little over-powered - please dim down his demigod abilities so he isn't just like a child of Hades and so that he isn't so powerful.

Some powers of his could be creating a certain amount of darkness, or perhaps being able to see in the dark, but not even a regular child of Hades can talk to the dead, as it takes many months of practice - even Nico in the Percy Jackson series found it difficult.

In addition, he should not be able to sense when someone dies, or be able to create fissures sending souls back to the Underworld. Like I said above, even a regular child of Hades would find that difficult, and Erebus is a minor deity/personification of darkness and shadows.

And in answer to your question about him being placed in the Hades cabin, no he would not. A child of Hades is a child of Hades, and a child of Erebus is a child of Erebus. Hades is a completely different god and is treated as such here.

Besides the point, if you wanted a child of Hades, you would not be able to do so before being active on CHB for at least 2 weeks, sending in a rough draft of the character to me or another administrator, have at least 500 posts, and be an active member of the community.

The limiting in the daylight thing seems good enough, but he has a lot of powers for a person being only around for a year. If you want to keep them, I suggest limiting how long he can use these powers for, and draining him a little after using some of them.

Better. Though, I think maybe when using if powers, light, at all, drains him? But only when using his shadowy powers? Other than that, mucho better. 8D

the light undoes the shadows revealing him which still will drain him since his control is still weak. i can add in that sunlight weakens him to the point where he cant use anything which is why he is limited to using his powers at night.

Years in Camp: New arrival

Brief History: Apalla was born in New York city with her mother Martha. They were living a normal life as far as she could up till she was in elementary school when monsters started to attack her and her mother. Apalla was use to moving around while she was in school, though she was changing school almost every year, since her ADHD and her inability to read English has made her a bit of a trouble maker.

When apalla was about 6 years old her mother gave her a bow and a quiver of arrows and taught her how to shot only to realize that she was showing a lot of her father. Martha turned to her daughter and only sighed when she knew that things were going to get rough for them as she got older and decided to take her away toward the woods where she knew that Artemis would normally know what to do. After living in the woods for about a month Artemis showed up with Apollo to give apalla her magic bow that was a birthday gift from Apollo when she was finally told of who she is. Apalla loved the fact that her father was the Apollo and it explained so much though she really didn’t want to go to camp half-blood until her aunt Artemis offered her immortality and the chance to join the hunt with Artemis as one of the hunters. Apollo hated this idea to the point where they were fighting about it when Apalla said that is what she wanted to join the hunt as one of the hunters of Artemis. Artemis had one of the other hunters tell her the oath when she repeated the entire thing to Artemis. Apollo understood why she wanted to and gave her the ok and that as long as Artemis looked after her she was in good hands.

Now apalla roams wild following the orders of Artemis and the lt of the hunter till Artemis straight up said that she had to go to the camp for at least a year before she rejoined with Artemis. Apalla only nodded knowing vary well not to anger a god.

Physical Appearance:

Apalla looks like someone from the woods wearing nothing but a piece of deer hide on across her chest that splits a bit but not much to show off some of her skin. She has a loincloth like skirt on her waist also made form deer hide. She has long red hair that is braided and pulled back into a half ponytail. On both of her wrist she has on leath deer hide bracers that allow her to shot the bow from different angles. Apalla has on a pair of deer hide leather boots that hold a small blade made of celestial bronze in a sheath just on the inside of her boot.


Personality: Apalla is just one of those lets fly off the whim and play it by ear girls that will follow orders but would prefer to do her own thing and be wild. She is easy to get along with as long as you do not insult what she can do or boost her ego higher then what it is. Apalla always has to be the center of everything up to the point where she became a hunter of Artemis. Apalla loves to see her father and her Olympian family though she does miss her mother a lot enough that she tells the hunters about her every chance she can.
Fatal Flaw: Her Ego is the biggest flaw that she has since when she is shown up she completely forgets how to attack and act rationally while she is in a battle or healing. Apallas ego is almost as big has her father Apollo.

Talents: Apalla is a perfect archer that can heal minor wounds has extensive herbal knowledge . She can shot off multiple arrows at a time from her training with her mother while she was growing up as well as the archery knowledge of being a hunter for her aunt . Her mother told her who she was about 5 years ago. Like her father Apalla can see visions of what’s to come though she can’t see them as clearly as the oracle or her father.

Weapons: Apalla has a bracelet that is lined with silver on her wrist that she had gotten the same day that she chose to join the hunt with artimis. This silver bracelet is her fathers bow that she gotten as a present that has changed its form to that of a hunters bow with the same powers that was enchanted on it from her father. The bow can get as bright as the moon or as bright as the sun depending on the time of day.
