Genevieve Warwick
| Genevieve, after about six months in camp, was beginning to become acclimated to camp life. Or, modern life, more accurately. Her clothing was enough proof of that, as she was currently wearing a grey tee shirt, boyfriend jeans and Nike's. She had begun to form a bit of an obsession with sneakers of all sorts. The demigod had discovered that this particular footwear worked especially well in the woods of camp. Gen would often wander off by herself and work on controlling her abilities.

The shadows danced around her feet as she walked towards her favorite practicing grounds: the lake. It was secluded. Private. Genevieve had first discovered she was connected to water when she nearly drowned, but hadn't. Whilst at camp she had begun to learn how to manipulate water. It was emotionally and physically draining, but she was beginning to get the hang of it. And by that, it meant she could actually convince the water to work for her, most of the time.

She began today's session by trying to get a ball of water. Visualizing it was a lot easier than actually doing it. Genevieve found it difficult to clear her mind, which meant she found it difficult to do anything. After a few minutes Genevieve opened her eyes to find a fist sized ball of lake water floating between her hands. A grin bloomed on her face, she nearly laughed. Just then though, the ball began bouncing back and forth between her hands until it flew out of her finger tips, towards an unsuspecting victim. "My apologies!" she burst as she spun around.

Summer, which means hot which means sweat which means ugliness. This is not what Mae was looking forward to at all. It was hot even this morning for her so she had to get dressed in something summery. She put on her grey crop top having no gray tank top under. You don't really see her stomach unless she put her hands up, and she out in some ripped skinny jeans and a pair of converse. Mae loved winter, but summer she wanted to just throw herself into a ice cold water and stay there. She needed to get out of the cabin because one everyone was in there because of the air, and two since everyone was in there it was just hot.

She walked out of the cabin and headed towards the lake. There probably would be people there but not a bunch load of people. Mae made her way to the lake. Maybe she could make some friends or even better just fall in the water if no one was there. It would probably be hard for her to do that in jeans, but oh well. Mae finally made her way to the lake. There wasn't that many people there. She looked around seeing a girl with water in the air. Another daughter of Hecate? Or Poseidon? Mae smiled and walked to her.

As Mae took a few steps to her she didn't want to scare her. She looked down and once she look up she saw water flying her way. Mae tried throwing it away from her by waving her hand, with her power but it was to late, the water splashed in her face. Mae fell on her butt and she sat there. She then just started laughing her ass off. She smiled and laughed trying to speak "It's- its..." her laughter kept her from speaking. "It's fine." Mae giggled standing up. She felt refreshed and she was still laughing.

| Genevieve had experience dealing with people from this century now, but she still wasn't good at getting her point across. She stumbled with modern words and often used the wrong ones in a situation. When her ball of water surged out of control towards and unsuspecting victim, landing straight in the girl's gut, she burst out a string of curse words unknown to this age. Part of Gen wanted to just stand there, pretend nothing happened, and keep practicing. The other part of her won over, and decided she needed to make sure the girl was okay.

Genevieve was confused when she first met an Asian. It wasn't that she was racist, the demigod just hadn't known they existed - as she grew up in an eighteenth century English settlement. When she saw the other demigod's face, she tried to smile, but instead looked vaguely constipated. "I am truly sorry. I am new here; my powers require quite a bit of practice," she explained, glancing towards the lake. Turning back to the girl, she added,"Oh, my name is Genevieve, by the way."

Mae was wondering why the ball of water came at her. The girl looked like she knew what she was doing. Mae looked at her clothes seeing she was wet. Mae was fine with it, she was now cooled down a bit. She looked at the girl and she nodded to her. She smiled "It's fine." Mae said once again. "No need to worry about it." she added. Mae wasn't a person to get mad about something, unless she really had to. And this situation wasn't a big deal at all. Mae looked over at the water and she walked to it. She smiled hearing she was trying to practice. Mae walked closer to the water and closed her eyes moving her hands in a circular motion. She opened her eyes seeing a ball of water coming to her hands. She smiled turning around the ball above her hands.

"Mae, daughter of Hecate." Mae said with a huge smile on her face. "Ready?" she asked. She started to move the ball to Genevieve. She wanted to help her out. Mae hasn't made a close friend yet so why not start today. Mae finally made it to her and she waited for Genevieve to control it, so Mae could stop controlling it. Mae never made friends because of this reason, her being a demi-god and a so called witch. Kids would make fun of her or get scared. Mae did try her best to be normal, but her trying to be normal wasn't normal to her. That's why she loved it here. she didn't have to be someone she wasn't. She was herself.

| Genevieve's expression turned quizzical at the girl's lack of anger. If this had been her century, the two would've probably had to duel to the death or something of that extreme nature. Teenagers in the modern world were so much more... what was that word? Chill. They were very chill. The demigod had decided she liked teenagers more now then she had before. "Still, I apologize. I should have been maintaining focus," she insisted. A proper lady always apologizes. Her stomach sank - she was still remembering her lessons after hundreds of years.

Her confusion persisted as the girl wandered into the water. Gen was about to speak up in protest - she didn't want help - but it was too late. Mae already had a ball of spinning water between her fingertips. "My mother is Amphitrite," she stated, bracing herself. The demigod hadn't ever seen anyone else control water - especially not someone who wasn't the offspring of a water deity. She was intimidated, to say the least. "I don't know if this is necessary - oh," Gen stammered, before the holding out her hands for the water ball. She focused on her breathing and soon the water was floating above her palm. "Splendid! This is so - " Her voice fell as her focus sank - along with the water ball.

She scowled. "I cannot keep my mind clear. It is extremely frustrating."
