It’s taken a while for him to get used to the idea, but he’s been living with Max for quite some time and Trace has finally gotten used to walking around with just a towel on after a shower. Once he’s out of the shower he dries off before knotting the cotton towel around his waist. Turning towards the mirror he spends a few minutes styling his hair, brushing his teeth and putting his contacts in. When he heads to the bedroom he doesn’t even think to look at the couch or he would have seen that he’s not alone.
After discarding his towel, he goes about selecting an outfit for the day. He’s already put on his socks, boxers, and khakis and belt when he realizes that he forgot a shit. Heading to the closet he looks through his various options, but he can’t find the shirt he had in mind. “Max have you seen my blue checked shirt?”he asks as he reaches to scratch the back of his neck, “I could have sworn I washed it”he continues as his gaze travels around the apartment to see if it’s been misplaced.
As his eyes land on the girl, his face turns a bright red as he realizes he didn’t hear her come in which means she would have seen him in a towel, not to mention he’s currently half dressed. “Oh-oh I didn’t realize we had any company”he stammers as his gaze drops to the floor.

Eleanor,
Eleanor’s plane had just landed, and she was in a bad mood. Of course she had been right behind the screaming baby; as if first class passengers didn’t have the decency to euthanize their horrible children before bringing them on planes. She had taken a taxi from the airport as the sun rose, her plane having landed in the earliest stretches of morning. Eleanor had left the minute school got out, reserving her flight months before, not wanting to risk her father having to get her. Not like he would. He knew where she was anyways, she had charged the air fare on his credit card.
Arriving at Max’s apartment, Eleanor used her keys to unlock the door, dropping her stuff in the middle of the floor. “I’m home.” Eleanor said loudly, ignoring the fact that it was too early for Max to even be up. But as she turned around, Eleanor saw a boy, an unfamiliar boy. In a towel.
Staring at him for several moments with a cold glare, Eleanor tried to figure out what to make of him. The words he used when greeting her made her blood feel cold. Had he lived here a long time? There was no way this was a one night hook up. “My apologies, I didn’t realize Maximillian slept with guys.” She said, raising an eyebrow slightly. He could not know of any other emotion. She would not let him.

trace finds himself nervously chewing on his lip as he watches the young girl standing in front of him. he recognizes her from the few pictures max has kept around. he's wondered when he'd finally meet eleanor, and he can say that he wishes that he wasn't shirtless. he's normally extremely self-conscious but right now he feels about five hundred times more self-conscious. he knows that max cares deeply about his younger sister and he wants to desperately gain her approval.
but based on the girl's facial expression, he's going to have to try harder. so he forces a smile across his face as he watches her. however his chest falls when he hears her comment, max hadn't told his sister? he couldn't wait to tell his family about max, but it seems that his boyfriend hadn't even bothered to tell his family. does that mean he's taking things too seriously?
"pardon?"he asks quietly as he raises an eyebrow, of course going down the road of pretending not to hear. such a good idea trace. hopefully max will wake up and save him from this nightmare, or maybe he'll wake up. that's it- he's definitely asleep there's no other explanation! because he would definitely remember max telling him that his sister would be visiting.
"i'm trace"he says with a small smile as he holds out his hand for her to shake. "it's nice to meet you eleanor"he says with a nervous laugh. he's still doing his best to stick clear of her previous statement, because he's not quite sure how he should approach the topic. if max hasn't told his sister, maybe he doesn't want to tell her. he'd better wait to talk to max before doing anything else.
