Celeste looked out at the still surface of the water, daydreaming about one thing or another. She watched the Niaids making baskets in the water beside her, wondering what it was like to be one of them. It was a warm, windy day with a few wispy clouds in the sky, and she didn't really have any plans so she had decided to sit beside the lake. Back home, she never spent much time by the water, unless Franklin dragged her along so their father would let him go. She shook her head slightly, to take her thoughts off of her family and back to the current time. Celeste was wearing a white tee-shirt and dark blue jean shorts. Her curly blond hair was in a messy braid, which was the best she could do to keep it under control. Messy hair days would certainly be the death of her. Hearing a noise behind her, Celeste jumped up and turned around, but her foot slips and she fall into the lake.

Seth traversed the campus grounds in characteristic boredom. His programmed activities had ended early and he was waiting impatiently for dinner. All things considered, there was surprisingly little to do in camp after most endeavors had been exploited. He had pranked probably half of all the demigods in existence, gotten banned from possession of any crossbow, and stolen a magic stone off the Hecate cabin. That was just icing on the cake. Really, there was little actual excitement that Seth hadn't been part of.
Stopping short, the son of Bia turned toward the glittering lake. Sticking his hands in his pockets, he watched motionlessly as its surface glimmered an enchanting spectrum of blue and green. Long, shifting waves faded off into the distance, appearing as little distorted ripples of white highlight. The sun wasn't going to set anytime soon, but strangely, neither was it anywhere to be seen. A tepid breeze danced about him, toying with his dusty brown hair and stirring the sleeves of his shirt. All at once, he felt better.
Seth's gaze then locked onto a figure by the lake. It was a girl about his age, with her hair in a messy braid and even from far away looked quite pretty. Seth decided that a companion that afternoon wouldn't do any harm, so he automatically changed direction, heading toward the lakeside.
Hearing his approach, the girl suddenly stood up, eyes wide, then lost her balance and fell into the lake with a splash. Oh dang. That was sudden.
Darting immediately to the side of the lake, Seth reached out a hand to help the girl up. "Hey, you all right?" The sides of the lake were shallow, but falling anywhere wet wasn't good.

Celeste took the boy's hand thankfully. She hadn't really been in the mood to take a dip in the lake, but obviously the Fates had other plans for her today. Once she got out of the lake she crossed her arms over her chest, because white shirts and water don't really mix. At least hers was a little heavier and not as see through as other shirts out there.
"Thanks, I'm fine," she replied. Her New Orleans accent wasn't exactly obvious from what she had said, but there was still a hint of it in her voice.
She had wanted to add something along the lines of 'I'm a bit wetter than I was expecting to get, but otherwise I'm okay', but because this guy was someone she didn't know, and she did just fall in a lake, she was far too shy and embarrassed to do so.

As the girl emerged, dripping wet, Seth decided it was not how he had expected to start any conversation. On the other hand, odd situations had a recurring habit of just finding him and that, he was absolutely used to. Having the experience of talking his way out of anything, Seth could complicate conversations as easily as lighten them—not that it was a very healthy habit. At least to whoever he was talking to.
"Good thing it wasn't deep." Seth paused for a moment, staring at the lake in the distance. Then a grin crossed his face. "Was I really that good-looking?"

Her face turned red from embarrassment and she awkwardly wrung the water out of her hair. Gods this was embarrassing. If only she wasn't so shy. Everything would be so much easier if she wasn't.
"Um, no no, not that you're not good looking, I mean you surprised me and I slipped," Celeste said quickly before realizing that she had a wet white tank top on and crossed her arms to try to cover her chest.
