As you step down the long corridor of the Aphrodite cabin, you'll notice a white door with an elegant silver handle. On the door is a note, pinned there by tape. It's just a square piece of paper, nice and neat, and the owner of that paper would have it stay that way. The note says:

This is the room of Tiberius Winters, the cabin leader of cabin 10. If you would like to speak with me, please knock. I will be with you shortly, unless I'm playing a game of chess, then it might take a while...
And then you step inside. The room is a step back in time, all grey and black and victorian. It's strange, but so is the boy who resides there. Books and chess pieces scatter the floor along with odd trinkets you can't quite name. The bed is iron with a beautiful design. A small desk lies by the window, overflowed with papers.

Quinn Taylors
Quinn Taylors was never someone to be subtle. She was loud, proud, and normally in you face. However, when she woke up on a bright and sunshiny day, the last thing she wanted to do was be excited and colorful. In fact, being dull and bedridden sounded much better as a hammer seemed to thud on her skull, numbing her thoughts. Tossing in her bed, she realized that her stomach was seemingly becoming undone, and needed immediate attention. Quickly rushing to the bathroom, the girl vomited and proceeded to shower. The water seemed to wake her up enough to where she could move without the support of the wall, most of the time. Being hungover was one of the many down sides to drinking, so Quinn was realizing, as she nearly tripped on her garbage can.

As she was pulling a tank top over her head, the demigod's thoughts wandered to Tiberius. She hadn't really spoken to him since their argument, but she had seen him around camp. The daughter of Apollo decided that she would visit him, despite the early hour of six in the morning. He'd be glad to see her, she was sure of it. Quinn then threw a grey sweatshirt over her shirt, just to make sure she wouldn't get cold. Tying her shoes seemed to prove difficult, as her fingers fumbled to make the knot. No matter, in a few minutes the girl was seemingly ready. She was about to head out the door, when she noted the clean feel of her face. There was no makeup on it. So, she obviously had to fix that before she left.

Not many campers stirred as she left, a spring in her step as she went. The sun was bright, and slightly nauseating, but the girl continued without many issues. Green grass was beginning to grow again, along with a few dandelions and other plants. The idea of spring was a happy one, and one that put Quinn in a good mood. She hadn't ever thought what she was going to say to Ty when she saw him, but hopefully the pieces would go into place. Thoughts seemed to buzz in her mind, not forming well enough to make actual sense. Quinn didn't mind, as she began humming the lyrics to 'What Makes You Beautiful' by One Direction. Don't ask why, it's just what happened. Soon, her humming developed into soft singing as she stepped up the stairs to cabin ten.

" 'Cuz you don't know - oh oh," she sang softly, slowly opening the door to Ty's room. It was a simple room, with grey and black colors that made Quinn regret wearing such bland colors herself. "You don't know you're beautiful, oh - oh." She approached the sleeping form of Tiberius, snagging the seat by his desk and sitting on it, near his bed. "And that's what makes you BEAUTIFUL!" Quinn exclaimed, making the last word ring through the room. Shuffling the chair closer to his face she placed her elbows on her knees, hands framing her face as she whispered, "Hey, Ty - wake up."

Tiberius Winters, like every other teenager on the Earth, loved sleeping. For once, this adoration for sleep wasn't because of his parental lineage, it was just a universal thing that every body his age got to enjoy. He was a messy sleeper, the blankets swirled around him like storm clouds that mixed with pure white ones. Ty's limbs tended to get tangled in the sheets. Currently the demigod was on his stomach, the soft pillows caressing his pallid face. A small smile was placed on his lips, as if in his dream he was actually happy. Happy. That was something Tibs wasn't. The only time he had ever felt that emotion was with two people, and he had to stay away from both of them, though for completely different reason. His little sister, Charlotte, was the one person outside of camp that he could be himself around, and she'd never judge him. Of course, Tiberius did the same for her. Gods, he missed her so much. He'd forgotten to write to her like he promised so many months ago. He stayed away from her to protected Lottie. Monster would surely go after her if he ever went back home, so it was a precaution Ty was willing to take if it ensured her safety. At camp, the one person that made him happy was Quinn Taylors. Their story had ended in tragedy, making Tibs once more cold and sophisticated, unable to feel anything. Mostly he acted like a robot nowadays, although in sleep dreams gave away feelings that were otherwise buried underneath a clear complexion. Ty hadn't forgiven Quinn for what she had done to him, he doubted he ever would.

The dream he was having was nice. Tibs wasn't cursed with nightmares like a lot of other campers he knew. Though, of course, this made no sense because he had very trying and scary things happen to him ever since he found out he was a demigod. Mostly those traumatic things were kidnappings, and to say Ty was getting used to them was an understatement. He had begun giving up during battle nowadays, like his soul had left him as soon as he drew his weapon. The dream was something he hadn't had in a long time; a tea party. He was elegantly dressed in a suit that combined the oldness of the victorian era and the sleekness of the 21st century. There were people there, faceless people, as you never actually saw faces in your dreams, but people nonetheless. Tiberius couldn't tell who they were, only that they were very dear to him and that he cared for them very much. Despite not knowing, the dream itself was pleasant, and Tibs enjoyed himself in the dreamscape, knowing it wouldn't last forever, no matter what he thought or wanted.

A loud voice blared through his mind, waking the young demigod up. It was unexpected, and so naturally Tiberius was scared. Had the person not read the sign on the door? You were supposed to knock. Knocking was essential to give Ty time to get dressed and looking presentable. If you didn't knock, you didn't get a fully awake and alert Tiberius Winters, simple as that. The next thing Tibs registered in the early morning was that the voice was familiar to him, and that he also didn't know the song. That wasn't actually surprising, as the boy really only listened to classical music and maybe sometimes the Beatles  but that was the extent of his musical knowledge. Tibs sat up, banging his head on the metal headboard. He yelled, rubbing his head as he got over the shock of being awoken so suddenly and without warning. He opened his eyes, looking at the person in his room. Quinn Taylors. It just had to be Quinn Taylors, the last person he wanted to see. Anger flared through him like a rocket on a trip to the moon, exploding every euphoric cell inside him at raging speeds. What gave her the right to come in here so happy and clueless, after what she had done to him?  "Oh." Tiberius said, narrowing his eyes. "C'est vous." The venom in his voice could not be missed, even if he was speaking another language. Tibs had started to speak french regularly nowadays, preferring that over his native tounge. He suspected Aphrodite should be proud of him, using the language of love. "What do you want, Quinn?" Even if he was furious, Tiberius still had to be a gentlemen, and being a gentlemen meant not denying anyone of help or conversation, no matter how much it pained you to do so.

Quinn Taylors
Quinn found herself looking across the room, her brown eyes flicking over papers, books, and chess pieces. She noticed that one of the pieces on the boy's nightstand was a white queen, one of the most powerful players on the board. At least, she thought so, chess was still a bit confusing to her. The idea that girls could lead armies and kingdoms still made her happy, so she'd assume her fact was true until it was proven false. Another piece caught her eye, the black knight, snapped in half, with feather-like splinters sticking out randomly. She wasn't sure if there was symbolism behind the chess pieces, but Quinn was intrigued by them. Once Ty and her were on better terms, she'd make him teach her, even if it took a while.

Hearing his voice, the girl turned to look at him, an eager look plastered on her face. She noticed the narrowness in his eyes, and the anger in her voice, which caused her eyebrows to knit together. Knowing very well that they hadn't spoken on great terms last hadn't made her question their friendship. Or, whatever they were, she wasn't sure. His French caught her off guard, not only due to her lack of knowledge about the language. There was an edge to his voice, a bitterness that cut like a knife. "I needed to talk to you," she explained, nodding slowly as a hand crept through her golden blonde hair, that wasn't exactly tidy. For trying to look presentable, the demigod was looking a little under the weather, with her messy hair and the faint smell of last night's alcohol on her lips.

With the side effects of the depressant slowly wearing off, colors were less loud, and light wasn't nearly as blinding, but her thought process was still slow. Quinn understood Tiberius' anger, she had felt plenty of it in her lifetime. However, she couldn't comprehend why he was so furious with her. She had just pushed his arm off of her shoulder, that was it... right? "I - I'm sorry," the girl muttered, looking down at her bright pink tennis shoes. "I've just been a mess without talking to you," Quinn added, hesitantly looking up to meet his gaze. She wasn't sure what she was looking for in his ever-changing eyes. Not anger, but maybe a sign of forgiveness. Forgiveness wasn't something so easily given, but the daughter of Apollo would try to get it back. Whether it meant sucking up to him for a while, or stealing him away for forceful kisses, she'd manage it. Because whether she liked it or not, she needed Ty.

To say that Ty was furious with Quinn was an understatement. He was absolutely enraged with her, and he didn't even want to see her. Tiberius had thought they had something, something small like a spark that could develop into something more. He thought that there was more than just… whatever they were. Tibs had stopped trying to put their relationship into just one category. They were too close to be considered friends, but too estranged to be considered dating. Even if they were together, Tiberius would probably screw it up. Love, as ironic as it sounded, was not his forte. Coldness was, and being out of place would always be the most comfortable thing for the young boy. Aphrodite probably disregarded him as a son, because he wasn't a player nor a matchmaker. Which was fine with Tiberius, he thought that some of the boys in his cabin were wimps and losers, though he would never actually voice that out loud. Number 72 of the gentleman code: You must not be rude. Well, currently that was easier said than done. There was jus two much rage built into the tall and lanky form of Tiberius Winters that he couldn't control how much he gave out. He was never a master at hiding his feelings, unlike Quinn. Ty now knew that Quinn was manipulative and mean and spiteful and selfish. Everything he didn't want in a friendship she was. Yet, Tibs couldn't stay away from her. Quinn was like his own personal drug, and that was why he didn't force her out of his room while she explained.

For a moment, there was silence in the air, and then Ty sat up a little straighter, his shaggy black bangs getting into his eyes once more. He was in need of a new haircut, but unless someone said something about it, Tibs was reluctant to get one. It was his hair, and he liked it originally. Only Quinn got to cut and tease his hair, and even she was forbidden now. Slowly, he leaned more towards the demigod in his room. Anger was slowly melting, the big block of ice surrounding his heart shrinking into the sliver it had once been before their fight. The boy felt his hand involuntarily reach out to caress Quinn's cheek, as if to say 'I forgive you'. But he didn't forgive her. She had hurt him so. His heart told him no, but his heart did not control his nervous system. "Oh…" Tiberius said softly. "You never want to talk." He leaned foreword a little more, taking in her natural beauty. The brown eyes, the blonde hair, the perfectness that was Quinn Taylors. Ty couldn't get enough of it. He inhaled, ready to say that everything was okay between them, because Quinn hardly ever said these things, and it was almost an apology. Almost. If it hadn't been for the faint trace of alcohol on her lips.

Pulling away, Ty knew that internally his defenses were once again up, the ice growing back thicker and colder than ever. "You're drunk." He observed, everything about this odd morning coming to light. Okay, so she might not be totally hammered, Ty had to give her some credit; Quinn (he hoped) knew when to stop. But she was still slightly tipsy, which explained a lot. The loud singing of a pop song he didn't know, the sudden appearance of her unwanted form, and most importantly, actually talking about her feelings. This was rare, and Tibs himself had only seen it once as he pretended to play dead. If there was any tenderness in his voice, any love and any forgiveness, it was gone, replaced with lifelessness of a broken heart. "That explains it."

His companion said something more, and Tiberius held back the urge to laugh. Did she really not know  how much she had hurt him? Did she really not know how much pain she had caused? It wasn't just that one day for Ty, but that was the spark that ignited the bonfire, so to speak. Every memory that once seemed sweet and innocent and perfect had now been tainted with reality. He now saw her true colors. Tibs wasn't hurt just because of her brushing his arm off of her shoulder, it was so much more than that. It was not opening up to him, the concealing the truth even though he could have helped. Ty felt like Quinn didn't trust him, and that doubt had grown until he felt like she didn't even like him. "Hm, mess." Tiberius finally allowed a dark chuckle. "You want to talk about mess? Fine, we can talk about mess." He got up from the bed and stepped back, arms spread wide to show her the destruction that was his room.

"My room is a mess." He said, staring Quinn in the eyes without so much as a glint of happiness in his. "My life is a mess. Everything about me is a mess. And do you know why?" Ty paused, mostly for dramatic effect but there was a little chunk of him that told to him to stop right then and there and forgive Quinn for all the wrongs she had caused him. But Tiberius Winters wasn't a fool, not anymore, anyways. "Because of you." He said, bending down to pick up a crumpled white button up dress shirt. Until recently, he was shirtless, only wearing a pair of black slacks he couldn't have been bothered to take off. As Tibs put it on, he continued talking, slight venom injected into the words he spoke. "You're not sorry. When have you ever been sorry? You just say that now so I'll forgive you and I'll be your little lapdog who is there for your purposes. But you're not sorry."

Quinn Taylors
Quinn watched him as he processed her words, seeing the gears turn in his mind. Honestly, she didn't know how he would react. Lately, Tibs seemed to be more aware of her faults. Everything seemed to play against her now, her life, her parentage, her allegiance, and her friends. Or, friend, rather. No matter the ice that separated the two of them, Tiberius Winters would always remain the demigod's only true friend. The rest came and went like seasons, and tended to be meaner than the Queen herself. Still, the girl knew that if she couldn't convince her friend back into her life, it would continue on a downwards spiral until there was nothing left. Maybe she didn't have anything to try and recreate, but she would still try.

The perfectionist in her still remained, as she noted that Ty's bangs badly needed a trimming, and were becoming unkempt. However, she didn't say anything, hoping that if he ran the choice through his head enough, that he would come to forgive her. The girl's golden brown eyes continued to search his for any sign of forgiveness, hoping that the trait would show itself sooner than later. It had to, it always did before. Always, and consistency was something that she often prided herself in. Her hair was normally the same style, her makeup was always done the same, the only thing that had changed for Quinn was her outlook on life. Before Kronos' Army, she focused solely on making sure she survived this lifetime. By joining the enemy side, she was supposedly protecting others. Protecting him, at least, that's what she told herself to be able to actually sleep at night.

Then, in a matter of a second, the boy's walls snapped back up. Quinn saw it, and in that second, she was terrified. This had only happened one other time, their recent fight, but she hadn't counted on it this time. Tiberius was supposed to be moral, faithful and forgiving; the good guy. Her hero, really, the thing that kept her grounded to what was right. "I am not," she stammered, sitting upright in the chair. She wasn't, she knew that much. Quinn had become accustomed to the numb feeling of drunkenness, and this wasn't it. She was just hungover, and there was a difference between the two.

As she continued to wake up, her symptoms eased slightly, just enough for her to detect the bitterness in his voice again. "No, gods, just listen to me," she muttered, her voice displaying annoyance instead of compassion. Quinn Taylors wasn't compassionate, she was ruthless and cold. Ty must've known when he became her friend, even if he was unjustly pulled into her circle of minimal friends, he was there now. And she wasn't letting go of him. As he directed her attention to his room, the girl gave it a passive glance, slightly raising an eyebrow at the point he was trying to convey. She knew that she had messed up, it was one of her many talents. She knew that she had destroyed him, crushed him and all of his faith into shards that couldn't ever be placed together again. She knew that, and didn't need him to tell her it.

When he accused her, the girl glared. Why fake her emotions anymore, when he would soon flush out all of her passive ones? "Excuse me?" she stated, rising out of her seat. "Do you not think I'm human?" Disbelief clouded her eyes as she spoke, her mind racing. How couldn't he believe her? She had apologized, Quinn Taylors had freaking apologized. "I am sorry, sorry that I'm not good enough for you, sorry that I mess everything up, sorry that you had the unfortunate luck of trusting me -" She broke, taking a pause for breathing. "But I am not sorry that I asked for your damn forgiveness." Inhale, exhale. Her last words had been shaky, almost like they would've shattered her if she had continued. Forgiveness was something foreign, unknown, and risky for the girl. She hadn't ever thought that a true apology would end in her only friend accusing her for all of her sins.

The greatest fear that Ty had was not spiders or becoming ugly or even losing himself in the mess of the world. His greatest fear was becoming like his father. His father couldn't loved, or at least that was how it seemed to the young boy. Bradley never once praised his son, never showed him the warmth and loved that everyone needed as a child. Tiberius was raised on cold, barren, harsh reality. Sometimes as he grew into a teenager, Tibs really thought that he was unwanted. Bradley treated him different than the rest of his siblings, as if Ty was infected, a monster in the eyes of the perfect. He was taught that feelings were destruction, and yet the glimmer of love that Tibs was born out of won over. He wasn't as socially adept as some others, but he wasn't cold and cruel like his father. At least, he hoped he wasn't. Fighting with Quinn made Tiberius rethink how he was acting. Bradley Winters was shining through Ty, he was the one that said the things he did. If Ty was in his right mindset, of course he would have never said those things. Tiberius also couldn't stay mad at Quinn for long periods of time. It destroyed him, made him into a monster of a man that scared even himself. Tibs didn't want to be like Bradley, and he really didn't want Quinn to know about what he had done. In fact, when Tiberius had gotten kidnapped, his father seemed like he didn't care. Everyone else had cared deeply, as he expected them too, but not his own biological dad. It was like he didn't ever care. Well, Tiberius cared about Quinn, and he decided to show it, no matter how mad he was at her. Quinn deserved his forgiveness, if not his love.

"You're right. I apologize." Tiberius said, sitting back on the bed, cross legged. He didn't dare look the demigod in her golden brown eyes. She was angry. She had every right to be. They were allowed to be ma at each other as they both had done wrong to the other. Ty knew that he wasn't the only victim in this situation. Quinn also had suffered under the harsh whip of his words and glaring stares, and Tibs had held anguish in his heart because of her rock hard emotions. "I-I didn't mean it. I'm just angry I suppose. Quinn, I know you're sorry, but you really hurt me. And I want to forgive you, gods you have no idea how much I want too." Tiberius stopped for a moment, trying to stop the tears from coming. Quinn wasn't crying, and so therefore neither should he. Ty couldn't seem weak in front of her, not again. Last time he had, it almost got both of them killed. He stared at his hands, watching this thumbs twiddle idly over the other as if they were playing a one-on-one game of thumb war. His perfect nails scratched the surface of his perfect skin, making perfect blood leak from a perfect wound. Everything externally that made Tiberius Winters was perfect. However, internally, he felt dirty, like there was this permanent film of filth that could never truly be washed off. Tibs began to speak again after wincing at the small amount of pain the cut had caused. Of course, a broken heart hurt worse, he knew from experience. "But I'm afraid that if I do, this will just happen again. I know it will. I may be an idiot, Quinn, but I am not a fool. Our relationship will end horribly, and I don't want to be hurt again. Do you understand? I want to forgive you, but I can't."

After Quinn had started to talk again, Tiberius fell silent, listening to her words. He didn't like upsetting people, but especially this daughter of Apollo. If she was hurt by anyone, he'd be there to protect her. Ty didn't actually think she'd come to him for protection, it was too much of a far fetched idea to even consider that possibly, but he hoped she knew that. Tiberius Winters would always be there for Quinn Taylors. Always. He had no objection to the things she said until she started punishing herself. Tibs had to stop her from saying these things. They may have been true, but Quinn couldn't honestly believe these things about her. "No, Quinn stop it. Stop blaming yourself." Tiberius said, finally looking her in the eyes. Grey on brown, a horrible combination, just like their personalities. "It's just as much my fault as it is yours, and you know this. I know you know this. I also know you're human, and I am sorry if I made you feel like anything less." At this moment, he got up from the bed, making the springs underneath squeak with tension. Ty walked over to the girl, but stayed a few feet away from her. He knew from personal experience that any physical interaction would end up in a fight, and that would not be opportune. Another fight would result in another heartbreak, and Tibs barely survived this one, he didn't think he could survive another. "Quinn, we all have our faults, and I choose to ignore yours until now. That was wrong of me, I know that now. It was also wrong of me to try and advance our relationship more quickly. I thought we had something, but obviously we don't, and I respect that. But don't ever, ever, be sorry to ask for my forgiveness, because you should know that I'll always forgive you. It'll take time, and a lot of healing, but eventually we're gonna be okay." Yes, this was how Ty knew he wasn't his father. Bradley Winters would never forgive, but his son did. And that was how the son was a better man than the father.

Quinn Taylors
Quinn felt her blood rushing past her ears, the thumping in her heart pounding into her brain. Ba -bump. Ba - bump. She couldn't tell if it was her sudden outburst of anger causing her red cheeks, or the idea that her plan wasn't working. The girl inhaled and exhaled, her eyes fixating back on the broken knight. She didn't know much about chess, but in ancient kingdoms the knight always protected the Queen, even if she didn't need it. The splintered wood disturbed her, like she knew that the fracture had some connection to her.

His words cut her emotions down to size, as she turned to look up at him, aghast. She didn't say anything, just stared at him with her expression emotionless. Quinn wasn't sure how to react to the sudden change in dynamics, but she was still upset. For once, she had chosen the right role, the right thing to do, and it was thrown back in her face. She had hurt Ty, yeah she understood that much, but she had problems of her own to deal with. There was the whole 'Kronos' Army' thing, then the fact that she kept everything from everyone, because she couldn't bring herself to trust them. Yeah, she had a fair share of issues. Issues that she thought best to keep to herself at all times.

His words softened her anger a little, the fire in her eyes dimming as he spoke. She looked at is odd position, just looking at him without speaking. In all honesty, she wasn't sure that she felt like accepting his apology right away. Then again, at the same time, she was sick of hanging around her fake friends, who only cared about their appearance. She wanted to be with her real friend again, someone who actually cared enough to forgive her, even though she didn't deserve it. None the less, when he admitted her unfaithfulness, the girl looked down at her feet, her face filling with shame. Quinn hated coming to reality with her flaws, and has beginning to realize how real they actually were. She had nearly destroyed Ty, and was betraying her camp. The damage this fire was causing could be permanent. "I understand," she muttered, not being able to hold his gaze. Her tone was stiff and lifeless, like he had lost faith in her. Was he treating her like a child? Like she needed to be told what was right and wrong?

However, when he interrupted after her short speech, the girl dared herself to look at him. Really look at him, in all of his messy hair, grey eyes, and pale skin. To look at what she needed, despite what she was willing to admit. He was her anchor. Quinn felt uncomfortable as he spoke, like the words had been fished out of a high school health class. "It's fine, I'm fine," she muttered, pressing her lips together in a tight line. Her eyes flicked over at him, a small smile filling over her face as she pressed forward, slinging her arms around his neck. Her face was pressed into the nook of his neck, between skin and a wrinkled shirt. "I - I missed you," she breathed, not breaking the contact. Quinn wouldn't dare hug Tiberius in public, she just wasn't that kind of person. She preferred keeping her life private, and she figured that alone in a room with him was as private as they would ever get. "And I'm sorry, so sorry, I just - I don't know," she said, her voice muffled by the fabric. "I messed up so bad, and I hurt everyone."

Anytime Quinn showed any kind of affection towards Tiberius, he got a little scared. How was he supposed to react when she hugged him? Or kissed him? Love was something of a mystery to the boy, although, when others came to him for advice about dating or getting someones attention, Ty could always give the right kind. He was like Cupid at camp, but when it came to his own love story, Tibs was hopelessly hopeless. Tibs always feared saying or doing the wrong thing. If Quinn wanted comfort, she'd come to him in her own time, which wasn't very often. Tiberius would always be there waiting for her, pining and faithful until she needed him. It hurt the boy, like a knife to the heart, but that was the way it had to be for the both of them. That was how the relationship between them worked. It wasn't ideal for Ty, but when it came to making himself happy and salvaging the wreckage of their impossibly close friendship, he'd chose fixing what he had with Quinn any day. That was what love was, wasn't it? Putting someone else's needs before yours, plunging into a dark chasm blindly, knowing that the love for the person you had would keep out out of harms way? Tibs didn't really know what love was like, and it scared him. It made him feel like some sort of robot, and up until today he would have been fine with that, he would've been content with being called cold and heartless, because he would not have known how to act anything but. However, meeting Quinn had changed Tiberius, made him a different demigod than he was a moment before. It was as if Aphrodite herself had set them up at the dance, but Ty didn't believe that his mother actually cared enough about him to grant him that kindness.

So Quinn hugged Tibs, actually hugged him. It was rare for her to do this, but Tiberius wasn't going to pass up an opportunity like this. Emotions had raged through him for the past couple of days, switching from grief to anger to sorrow, like some imp was internally pressing buttons inside the boy, telling him what and when to feel a certain thing. Now all Ty felt was relief that the storm was over. He closed his eyes and smiled as Quinn rested her head on the wrinkled fabric of his shirt. His hands came up to embrace her as well, one on the small of her back and one on her head, so his nimble and slender fingers could stroke her blonde hair. She talked, and Tiberius listened, like they had always done in the past. Tibs was a man of very few words, and the words that he did speak were old fashioned and weird. He knew that even Quinn didn't understand some of the things he said, and she, out of everyone in camp, had spent the most time with him. They were an odd pair for sure, but somehow it all worked out. Tiberius couldn't imagine a world without Quinn, he didn't want too. "I know you're fine." He whispered. Quinn was strong, stronger than Ty could ever  be, and she was determined as well. It would take a lot, Tiberius knew, to make a girl such as she fall into ruins.

"I missed you too, exceedingly so." Tibs said softly, hugging her closer to him. He wasn't sure when the next time they would hug would be, and he was determined to make the most of it. Quinn may make the first move in their relationship, but Ty hoped she knew he would tell her when to let go of him. He made the last step. This was such a rare treat for the boy he was reluctant to ever stop this contact between them, however minimal it seemed. "Just promise me we won't do this again. This ignoring each other when we're mad? It doesn't seem to do either of us any good." They had to find another way to dealing with their anger towards one another. They couldn't just walk off when they were fuming at each other, steam rushing metaphorically from either's ears. But they also couldn't just yell at each other, having a screaming match until their throats were sore from proving their point. There had to be a happy medium, and Tibs was willing to work toward it.

"Oh Quinn," Ty sighed onto the top of her head. He was taller than her, and he rested his cheek on her blonde head. He swore that her hair was part of the sun itself, bright and beautiful and blinding. "It's not all your fault, I messed up too." Tiberius knew that she wouldn't want to be treated like a little kid, but he just couldn't let her take all the blame, when some of it was his fault. He wasn't going to deny that she had wronged people. The truth was harsh, but it was needed. "You've hurt a lot of people, yes, but you have time to undo the damage you've done."

Quinn Taylors
Quinn rested her face against the crook of his neck, so the left side of her face was against him, and her gaze was positioned into his chest. Maybe it was cruel of her to set him up for disaster yet again, but she didn't care. The girl wanted to have someone to lean on when the world crumbled, and yes, it did seem like her world was crumbling as she watched it fall. The unfairness of the situation wasn't a problem for her, she figured that Tiberius would always be there for her, especially after this. He had seemed furious with her, she saw it in his eyes, but he still forgave her, sort of. Quinn would handle a sort of forgiveness. She could handle anything, from peace to chaos, from excitement to depression, and from bitterness to forgiveness. At least, she convinced herself of that. If anyone could handle all of life's risks, it was Quinn Taylors.

As she felt his fingers graze over her golden hair, the demigod sighed contently, feeling calm and secure for once in a long while. Despite her hard exterior, Quinn still needed to be accepted, no matter the circumstances. She needed Ty. She needed him like a knight needed armor, like a sword needed sharpening, like the sun needed the moon. Yeah, just a little bit of need there. Closing her eyes, the demigod kept her breathing steady, listening to the sound of Ty talking. Sometimes, and only sometimes, she liked listening to Tiberius talk to her. The mixture of his fingers against her hair, and the soft tone of his voice set her in a state of calm. It took her back to when she and her mother actually had good conversations, that didn't leave her furious.

Smiling, she nodded, absorbing every word he said. "We won't," Quinn whispered back, opening her eyes. The demigod bit her cheek immediately after she said her words, debating if she could hold true to them. In all of her seventeen years, she had lost her temper on several occasions. She had shunned out friends, broken off relationships, and left herself with nothing. Yet, Quinn would always be a fire hazard. She set sparks to everything she touched, and often left everything charred once she was through with it. The demigod could only hope that Ty would be safe from her wrath.

Quinn left her arms wrapped around him lazily, wondering how long they could stay in that position. She continued to listen, but his words cut. She had done damage, and she knew that, but at the same time, she didn't need him telling her that. "How do you suggest that?" the demigod asked, exhaling, her frustration obvious. "I'm so done with this place, and everything in it, why should I fix it?"

Tiberius didn't want to forgive Quinn. He didn't want to be weak. He was like a puppy, loyal and faithful to his master through thick and through thin. Even if she broke his heart again and again, Tiberius would always run back to her, and it disgusted him. It made his nights restless as he berated himself about how stupid he was for going back to her. Truth was, Ty just needed someone to tell him what to do, and it seemed like Quinn was just the right person for that. Their relationship wasn't supposed to be little more than minimal friendship, but Tibs' affection for the girl had blossomed into love. Love was weak, and he knew that, deep down, but he was so infatuated that he forgot his upbringing. However, Ty did not forget the lessons on forgiveness. His father told him again and again that to forgive was to be weak, and to be weak was to be laughed at. Ty had been told that many times in a day, and the message had been drilled into his brain until there was a permanent hole, filled with it. That was why Tiberius closed himself up, and that was why he was so cold and didn't trust anybody. For if he trusted people and became himself around them, they'd become angry at him for something, and then he'd have to forgive them. He didn't think Quinn was capable of being angry at him. Tiberius, once again, was wrong. So was his father, in some aspect. Tibs didn't forgive Quinn right then and there in his room, where the early morning light hit the two embraced figures like something out of a romance movie. He'd forgive her someday, out of the blue, when the anger was no longer a pot of boiling water, but rather a lukewarm dish of liquid safe enough to drink and touch.

"Good." He breathed quietly. "That's splendid, really it is. I'm so tired of fighting." Then Tiberius yawned. He was still quite lethargic as far as teenage boys go. The grey irises were dulled like static, not fully focusing on anything around him. When Quinn had woken him up, there had been a rush of adrenaline coursing through his veins, making Ty awake and alert. The feeling had drained him though, the more he thought about how much he loved Quinn and how it felt to be hugged by her with no strings attached. Circles were traced under his eyes, like tracks. His hair stuck up at every angle, but still it looked good on Tibs, You could dress the boy up in rags and he'd still look fabulous. Tiberius wanted nothing more than to crawl back into the warmth of his white comforter and sleep the rest of the day off. But he'd done that for far too long, and now that he and Quinn had sort of made up, there would be adventures to go on and monsters to fight and mortals to rescue. So he just leaned in closer to her form, shifting his weight just a little bit. Tiberius would be happy sleeping in that position. In Quinn's arms, and not a care in the world. But that couldn't happen.

Quinn sounded frustrated the next time she spoke, and Tiberius frowned as he unhooked himself from her. He didn't like hearing those kinds of things. It made it sound like she was giving up, and that wasn't okay with Ty. Tibs wanted her to right her wrongs, to become a better person. Of course, he already thought she was perfect in every way; being in love made you forget a persons flaws, although he was pretty sure Quinn could see his, cracking his smooth little china face with microscopic cracks of faults and lies. Ironic, wasn't it, that the boy was imperfect while his mother was the epitome of perfection. "I dunno," Tiberius said, yawning again. Gods he was so tired. He'd been getting less and less sleep stressing over the relationship. He looked at Quinn in her brown eyes. When Ty first met Quinn, he thought her eyes were like cold tea, made unsavory and unwanted by the winds of life. But now, after getting to know her and falling for her, Ty now saw that her eyes were like milk chocolate, sweet and wonderful. "you should talk to the people you hurt and apologize. I know that you're weary of this place, I know you despise it, believe me, I do. But you need to fix it so you can get on with your life." Tiberius ran his hand through his hair. "It's not good to hold on to hate, believe me, I have tried and it just ends in sleepless nights and broken chess pieces."
