Faye McJean
| Name: Faye Lynn McJean
Name Meaning: Faye [Fairy] Lynn [Lake] McJean [God is Gracious]
Gender: Female
Age: Faye is Seventeen
Birthday: July 24th
Godly Parent: Athena, the Goddess of War and Knowledge
Claimed: Yes
Years at Camp: Seven Years

Mortal Family:

|"I love my dad. He’s great, really. We talk just about every day now, when he isn’t at work. He’s definitely one of my best friends; he gives awesome advice."
John McJean [Father]: John McJean was a computer programmer, whom was often working on various projects. Faye never resented him for working so hard, and admired him for it. She wanted to be as determined as her father was. He taught her moral values, and still was like a best friend to her. Faye also admired that quality about her father. John was in a car crash a while back when Faye was ten, but he survived despite his injuries. It was the only time that she was scared of losing her father, and prays that it never happens again.

|"Oh, Carter is so old now, it feels like. He really likes public school in Minnesota, I guess. He doesn’t complain about it too much, anyways. I think he’s going to start coming to camp this summer."
Carter McJean [Brother]: Carter was born about ten years ago, to John and Athena. The goddess didn't mind having another child, apparently, and Faye certainly didn't mind having a little brother. She adores him, and is especially excited when he comes to visit camp. Being seven, he doesn't have a strong enough scent for monsters to search for him, so he stays back in Minnesota with his father. The demigod is very intelligent and curious, despite his age.

Brief History:

|"It’s complicated. No, really. "
Faye's life was very good when she was young. There was no monsters to attack her family, and John was doing well in his career. Faye was kept in the safe protection of their local daycare provider, and nothing was going completely wrong. After all, she was just a little girl, skipping and coloring. Nothing that she would dream about doing as she grew up into a teenager. The daycare lady thought that Faye was a little angel, and surely didn't dream of what the demigod was capable of.
As the demigod grew in years, she began to show her gifts that were given by Athena. She was very smart, yet dyslexic. Faye didn't get A's in grade school, but didn't really care. She was more interested in reading the books that were  hidden in the corner of her teacher's room. She didn't have many friends, and the books seemed to serve a similar purpose. Eventually, she got kicked out because her grades were very bad. The nine year old would have to stay at home and read, or do other chores in the Minnesota home. That year, they McJean's got their first hit of a monster attack. A hell hound came up and attacked them while eating supper. If John hadn't had a shot gun, with special bullets, then the family would be history. Faye was still in shock of the attack, when she was taken to Camp Half Blood at the age of nine.
Faye wasn't accepted at camp in her early years. She didn't make friends quickly, just like in grade school. The young demigod soon learned the tricks and ways of Camp Half Blood. She became stronger, and found true friends. Her brother, Carter, was born and she had to accompany him to camp, and make sure he arrived safely.  Her brother had been staying with their aunt, and now also lives at camp, in cabin 6. Faye was elected Cabin Leader not long ago, and was kept very busy with it. She liked the work, but it was a big job for a fifteen year old.  Faye didn't have much time for fun anymore, but tried her best to stay positive.
During the Zombie Apocalypse, the demigod had to take control of her cabin to try and protect it. She paired up with the Ares cabin for the first night, where she devised a strategy for both the joint cabins. Faye was surviving, but her mental state was shaky, especially  after she had to kill her ex-boyfriend Vinnie, to prevent him from turning into one of the undead. One of the absolute worst parts of the invasion was having to save her now current boyfriend, James, by cutting of the lower portion of his left arm. The memories from it scar her to this day, in her dreams. She suffers through post traumatic stress disorder,, which can come randomly and cause her to forget where she is and what is going on. Faye's recovered, but is far from healed. She is supposed to take medication to prevent the symptoms, but she doesn’t follow the directions.

Appearance:

|"Brown hair, brown eyes, about 5’7”... is that enough?"
Faye has dark brown hair, that is turning black. Her hair goes to her shoulders and is wavy. She'll try to straighten it, but she knows it won't work. her hair doesn't like to cooperate with her, but she makes it. Faye doesn't like to use hairspray, but her hair's wildness forces her too at times. Her hair is usually in a messy ponytail, or down.
Faye has dark grey eyes that get darker when she gets mad or frustrated. Her eyes make her look like she is thinking about ten things at once, which she usually is. Faye finds it hard not to think about so many different things. When her eyes look more brown, it's because she's calm and is having fun. As she's getting older, the demigod's eyes are more grey.
She has pale skin, that gets tan in the summer. Faye has pale freckles on her nose that only can been seen in day light. She stands on two strong legs and is about 5'7". Faye usually can be seen in a Camp Half Blood T-shirt and shorts. The demigod recently figured out that she needs glasses, and now wears nerd-style glasses around camp when she doesn't have contacts. She doesn't like being dressy unless she has too.

Personality:

|"Well, I think that I'm independent, I mean, I do things by myself. It's been worse following the apocalypse, I'm pretty sure it's post traumatic stress. I'll shut myself out for a day or two, maybe more. I don’t know.  I'm kind of a mess, actually."
Faye is an independent person. She hates asking for help, because she forces herself to think that she doesn't need anyone else. Faye likes to work alone and finds it difficult to let other people just ignore her  ideas. She has very strong opinions, but can be swayed if the topic is sensitive or if she is convinced otherwise.
She also can be very calm. Faye is alright with being put under pressure, which she is, quiet frequently with her new position at camp. She likes being calm and collected while others aren't. It makes her think that she is being better than most, and can do  anything. However, now that the battle has taken place, she seems more on edge. She doesn't smile as much anymore, unless it's to make someone else feel better.
Faye is a very compassionate person when she isn't worried about strategies or the fate of camp. She's also very sarcastic and witty when making small talk. The demigod doesn't have a problem making new friends, but she isn't looking for long term friendships right now. The people Faye is closest too are more often the ones she depends on and shares secrets with. She also doesn't like complaining, or telling others how she really feels, because she wouldn't want to worry them.

Fatal Flaw:

|"The fear of losing my loved ones, probably."
Faye’s fatal flaw used to be her pride. However, as she has aged her flaws have changed. She would do anything to protect those she is loyal to, and it could cause her demise.

Pet:

|"I don’t have one."
Buddy is a yellow lab, German shepherd mix with some type of poodle also mixed into his family. He loves Faye and is very loyal to her. He sleeps in Faye's Cabin Leader room most of the time, or he lounges about cabin six, greeting people as they pass by. The dog died from cancer in his leg a few years ago, and Faye misses her companion.

Talents:

|"Just little things, here and there."
* Swordsmanship - Faye is great at fighting with her sword. She has mastered it for the most part, and is working towards other weapons, and hopes to master them all.
* Academics - Faye is very smart for her age, and at a 10th grade level. She can memorize things easily, and understands new concepts quickly.
* Leadership - Faye is a good leader who takes thing seriously. She worries about the fates of others, and takes their plans into account when making choices.
* Speed Reading - Due to my power pack, Faye has been given speed reading, where she can browse through a book and comprehend the information at a highly above average rate.

Weapons:

|"It's a pretty standard sword, it just can change into a ring."
Faye has a two foot Celestial bronze sword that contracts into an owl ring. She asked a Hephaestus child to make it for her, and now she uses it all the time. Previously, she would've been using a standard camp sword. The demigod calls her new weapon σοφία.

Genevieve Warwick
| Name: Genevieve Elaine Warwick; previously Cordelia Catherine Warwick
Name Meaning: Genevieve [Tribe Woman] Elaine [Bright Light] Warwick [Fortress]; Cordelia [Heart of the Sea] Catherine [Pure] Warwick [Fortress]
Gender: Female
Age: Genevieve appears to be Eighteen
Birthday: January 19th
Godly Parent: Amphitrite, the Goddess of the Sea
Claimed: Not Directly, but Yes
Years at Camp: 3 Months

Mortal Family:

|"My father is dead now, I suppose."
Charles Warwick [Father]: Charles, called Charlie by his closer friends, had lived on the seas his entire life. He was originally born in England where he had worked on his father’s shipping boat. Eventually he worked his way up into the ranks, and with his father’s passing, Charles became the ship’s captain. The ship, named after Queen Elizabeth, was under the crown’s control. Shortly after he became captain Charles was instructed to take his ship and crew to head towards the Caribbean. There he met a certain young lady, who would turn out to be Amphitrite, Cordelia’s (Genevieve’s) mother. He would raise his daughter there, and take her with him on all of his voyages.

|"Dead...he’s dead."
Cassius Clarke [Almost Significant Other]: Cassius was the first mate’s son, and thus became Cordelia’s best friend. They would race around the ship’s deck, always causing chaos but never getting into trouble. Cassius was a good two years older than Cordelia and when he turned eighteen he was supposed to find a wife. Both Charles and Cassius’s father agreed that Cordelia would make a perfect wife for him.

Brief History:

|"I was not born in this century."
Cordelia was born on a not so cold winter’s morning, and left with her father shortly after. Her mother left a month later, leaving her alone with Charles. The first few years were difficult for him, as he hadn’t the slightest idea on how to raise a child. So Cordelia would stay with midwives until she was able to travel with her father. She was a pretty little girl, but also quite mischievous. Somehow her dresses would always end up soaked in mud, and her hair was always in tangles. The midwives weren’t quite sure what to do with her.
Charles wasn’t quite sure what to do with her either. Cordelia loved being on her father’s ship. She loved the smell of the wooden planks, and the feeling of salt spray on her face. Her hair was always in tangles, but no one on the ocean seemed to care. Her father was always busy with his work, so she kept busy by bothering the deckhands or by playing with the first mate’s son, Cassius. Cassius explained to Cordelia that his mother died when he was very young, so he was going to be with this ship forever. They quickly became best friends and caused a lot of trouble together.
Years passed, and slowly Cordelia realized that Cassius was different than her. They had different skills, as least that’s what she had been told. The deckhands told her that she was supposed to be able to cook and clean. Cordelia wasn’t meant to be strong or bold. She was supposed to be quiet and conformative. Cassius told her not to listen to them - and she didn’t, but there was always a voice in the back of her mind telling her that she was doing something wrong. When Cassius turned eighteen he announced his intentions so marry Cordelia. The demigod wasn’t surprised, but she wasn’t particularly thrilled either. Marriage meant and end to her travels. She would stay in their house, with their children, alone. Despite her doubts, they were married, and within a year she was pregnant with their first child. She stayed on the mainland, Barbados, and waited for her husband to come home. When he did, she had awful news: she lost the baby. The doctors couldn’t explain it. Cordelia requested to go on one last trip with her father, and he agreed.
It was a warm, sunny day, perfect for traveling. Too perfect, it would turn out. Their ship was attacked by who-knows-what. Canon fire eventually sunk the ship. Cordelia felt herself crash into the salty water. She inhaled, knowing that she would be dead. Minutes later, she realized she was still breathing. The demigod was not dead, but her father and husband were. She floated to the surface of the water where she was taken by the attackers. Shortly later she was taken to the lotus casino. Amphitrite had ordered her to be taken to the land of the lotus eaters after hearing of her daughter's adventure. She wanted to make sure that Cordelia was safe. The demigod only managed to escape the casino a few months ago.
She changed her name the second she left the casino. Cordelia had drowned off the shores of Barbados in 1765, Genevieve hadn’t. The culture shock was the worst. So many new inventions and phrases were terribly confusing to her. The dress was different too. Gen’s first month at camp was spent learning how to act normal. It took a lot, but she’s managed. That’s about all, though.

Appearance:

|"My hair was even longer, but I cut it when I came out of that place. My skin is not as tan as it used to be, either. I’m still the same height, though."
Genevieve is very petite, especially when she’s compared to modern women. She stands at 5’2”, with a slim build. while she may not look strong, she does have muscles, they just aren’t very obvious.  The fact that she wasn’t born in this time period is actually pretty obvious. She never liked dresses, but she isn’t exactly comfortable in her own, modern-day skin either. She likes lipstick, though. Especially deep red lipstick. It has become a staple in her new life.
Her ears are pierced but she doesn’t wear earrings anymore. Or necklaces, for that matter. Genevieve dresses mainly in plan sweatshirts, tees and jeans. She’s taken a liking to converse for some reason (that might just be because her roommate had a pair in her size). Her thick dark hair is most often worn in a messy ponytail for efficiency, but she also likes braiding it. Overall Genevieve is a fairly pretty teenage girl.

Personality:

|”I haven’t been particularly social these past few months, so… um."
Genevieve was very excited about life back in the eighteenth century, but she isn’t really excited anymore. She’s awfully confused, but she has been able to make some almost-friends. One thing the demigod has been able to adapt to quickly is this century's sense of humor. She is now able to be sarcastic and bold without the world frowning at her. Her snide comments are considered hilarious, which makes Genevieve feel a little bit more accepted, as if she belongs in this century a little bit. She also is allowed to have opinions in this century, which is great. The demigod is opening up in small ways that she never thought possible. However, as she opens up, she feels herself losing that part of her that should have drown. It’s a tough situation.
As she develops Genevieve will gain a stronger sense of confidence. It won’t be visible in her first few roleplays, but she’ll grow. She’s also impatient, despite the ease of modern times. She doesn’t like all the options people have nowadays. Things used to be black and white, and they aren’t anymore. Genevieve’s emotions get to her sometimes, especially recently, and she can break down. Most of her breakdowns end in her locking herself in her room, crying, clutching her legs to her stomach. She’s a mess, but she’s learning.

Fatal Flaw:

|"I don’t know."
Genevieve’s knowledge of modern times could cause her quite a few issues, but none overly fatal. She’s stubborn, though, and that could end her life.

Pet:

|"I, uh...."
N/A

Talents:

|"I cannot cook. At all."
* Swordsmanship - Countless hours of sparring with Cassius along with her natural abilities have left Genevieve with a great amount of swordsmanship. She is very agile.
* Learning - Genevieve isn’t smart, but she does want to learn. This drive has let her adapt more easily to this new life.
* Water Related Powers - Thanks to her mother, Gen came breathe underwater for about half an hour at a time, if she wants. She can also manipulate water, but only for half an hour each day.

Weapons:

|"This dagger was my father’s."
Somehow Charles’s dagger has survived over two hundred years. The metal contains some Celestial Bronze, allowing it to be used to kill monsters. Genevieve keeps it near her at all times.

Han Ji Kyu
| Name: Han Ji Kyu
Name Meaning:
Gender: Male
Age: Q is Seventeen
Birthday: May 5th
Godly Parent: Ares, the God of War
Claimed: Yes
Years at Camp: 7 years

Mortal Family:

|"Mom’s really good at what she does. I don’t see her a lot."
Han Rae Nari [Mother]: Han Rae Nari, most commonly referred to as Nari, came to the United States as a college student in 1992. She graduated from Cornell University in 1996 with a degree in International Studies as well as Journalism. Her dream was to write the truth, not the watered down information presented by the modern media industry. She wanted to be real, and she thought the United States was the perfect place for her dream to become a reality. Eventually Nari decided to stay in New York, where she became a reporter for the Ithaca Journal. Shortly after this she accepted the job she met Ares whilst interviewing citizens about the effects of 9/11. They skirted around each other at first, but one thing turned into another and soon the reporter was pregnant. Ares stayed with the pair until Kyu (Q) turned three months old. At first, Nari was furious that he left, but she drowned herself in work and continued on with her life, as if nothing had happened.

|"Nathan’s fine."
Nathan Goode [Stepfather]: Nathan Goode was born into one of those families that never strayed far from Ivy Leagues. He had a 4.0 in his private high school, and continued to get a 4.0 at Cornell University. When he graduated he had a PhD in Journalism, as well as other degrees in Business and Communications. Nathan wanted to be a publisher, so he became a publisher. Things like that were never a question with him. As a freshman he met Nari, and the two got along well. It wasn’t until after Kyu was born that the two adults became better associated with each other. When the demigod was nine they were married, though both of them kept their own names. Nathan liked Q, but it was obvious that he needed children of his own. So, they had children, or one, rather.

|"She’s such a brat."
Cassandra Goode [Stepsister]: Q has only met with Cassandra a few times, on holidays. She looks like a perfect replica of Nathan, which could be interpreted as positive or negative, depending on your view. The girl has the same straight brownish hair, the same large nose, and the same sense of pride. She’s seven now, and attending a private school in Ithaca. Cassandra doesn’t really like Q either, but in front of their parents they pretend to enjoy each other’s company.

Brief History:

|"I was born. I grew up. I came here. The end."
Nari and Ares’s relationship started out very rocky. She was terribly focused on her career, and he seemed almost desperate for company. But the Greek God was persistent, and eventually they hung out. Then hanging out turned into something more. They were together for three months before Nari announced that she was pregnant. It was an accident; the reporter mean to sacrifice her future for this child, but it just… happened. About seven and a half months later Kyu was born prematurely. The doctors were uncertain if the little boy would last very long, but he went against the odds and came out of the hospital healthy. Nari began work from home as she adjusted to life with a baby and a boyfriend. Ares had moved in, but within the next three months he would move out, never to be seen by Nari again.
Little Kyu ended up being more of a handful that the reporter had expected. He had a knack for trouble, and was constantly aggressive. The other children at Q’s daycare didn’t like playing with him because of this trait. Only Nari could get the little tyke to calm down. She didn’t know how to solve her child’s issues, but she was too overloaded with work to even consider addressing it. Q’s mother pretended that her son wasn’t the local bully. When the demigod was four his mother began seeing Nathan. At first Kyu hated the man, and would often say that, in his most angry voice. Eventually the tantrums subsided as Nathan’s presence grew on Q. He decided that having an almost-but-not-really dad was better than pretending he was all alone.
Q’s childhood was spent mostly at his expensive private school and the few blocks that surrounded it. He had a few friends who convinced him to join them whenever they played sports. The demigod used this to channel his anger into games like lacrosse, basketball and soccer. Lacrosse was his favorite, though, even when he was young. The up close, physical contact allowed Kyu to control his emotions or act on them. Around this time Nathan and Nari got married. Q remembers it clearly. He was a little old to be the ring bearer, but that was still his job. He was all dressed up in a suit and tie. His mother was wearing all white. Q’s tie was itchy that whole evening. There was too many people there he didn’t know. The demigod shook so many hands; he couldn’t remember half of their names. Guests called him cute. His mother laughed a lot that night. Q slept a lot that night.
That following year his half-sister Cassandra was born. Q didn’t understand why she had his stepfather's last name instead of his, but he didn’t ask. The demigod didn’t really spend much time with his family that year. He went over to his friends’ houses and played lots of basketball instead. Kyu decided they were a lot more fun than his family. Whenever the demigod would go home he would see his busy mother and his busy stepfather. He decided home wasn’t the place for him. Q’s mother was heartbroken to find out that her ten year old son had left home. A few hours later she was notified that he was found by the local police. After the incident Nari told her son about who he really was, and how there was a camp for people like him. Kyu left a week later for camp, escorted by a satyr named Peter.
Camp was a welcome change for Q. He was claimed just as he entered the camp’s border by Ares, and was ecstatic. He felt wanted, and really grew whilst at Camp Half Blood. He found lifelong friends in his cabin mates, finding them to have similar personalities to his own. He was able to let out aggression during capture the flag, during training sessions, and on the basketball courts.  As he aged, Q decided that he was meant to be a demigod. Normal life just wasn’t an option for people like him; he belonged here where he would train as a soldier. When Kyu was sixteen the zombie apocalypse came about. He stayed hidden in the Ares cabin, making occasional moves under the direction of the cabin leaders June, James and Faye. While the demigod was scarred by the stench of the undead and the faces of his once-friends, he never said anything about it. He still doesn’t talk about it.

Appearance:

|"Yeah, I’m asian. That’s obvious."
Kyu is Korean, and he’s reminded of it quite often. He lets his close friends poke fun at his ethnicity, but no one else. If a stranger commented on it, he’d punch them square in the jaw without a moment of hesitation. He stands at 5’10” with a stockier build, mostly made from hours of training and working out at camp. Q maintains this physique by jogging one hour a day and lifting weights at least four times a week, along with regular training sessions. If he didn’t work at it though, he would not be as muscular as he is, and he knows that.
Kyu’s skin is an olive-ish tone in the winter, becoming tanner in the summertime. His skin is free of moles or freckles, keeping the same color throughout his body. The demigod’s face is square-ish until you reach his chin, where his face comes to a smooth stop. His neck appears bulky in comparison to his face. Q’s thick hair is jet black and sticks up like a quiff. He doesn’t style it that way - the boy cares little for his physical appearance - it just kind of happens. Kyu sports a variety of bedhead looks, normally.
He dresses casually most days, preferring basketball shorts or sweats over jeans any day. Q hates dressing up and avoids the chore at all costs. He would rather wear a sweatshirt than a suit, much to the dismay of his mother. Kyu also adores his Nike tennis shoes. He has at least five pairs at camp.

Personality:

|“It’s rough around the edges."
Kyu is the kind of person to join cliques. He enjoys having a select group of people that he knows and trusts. That being said, the demigod isn’t opposed to socialization. He never seems to tire in in social situations; he can make up something to say on the fly and often says whatever he pleases. Q often thinks with his fists instead of his brain, and therefore gets into a lot more fights than most. In his mind, if he can say the phrase without being punched, it’s okay to say. He’s blind to problems outside of his world of Camp Half Blood.
When Kyu does get into fights they are very intense. He either cares a lot about the battle - and tries desperately to win - or he cares little, in which case he would put minimal effort into it. His relationships are also like that, all or nothing. He judges if someone is worth associating with at their first meeting. From their the other person either becomes his friend or his enemy. There’s no inbetween.
Kyu is also contradictorily altruistic. He wants to be seen as a hero whilst he never fails to join a fight (wrong or right). His childhood has lead him to strive to be seen as a role model, but what the demigod fails to have is a role model for himself. Kyu knows what he wants to be: brave, strong and valiant; he just doesn’t know how to be that yet. His anger and arrogance are obstacles he has yet to overcome. He is also almost nationalistic towards his father. Kyu sees him as the best god, and doesn't understand the flaws his father has.

Fatal Flaw:

|"I - um, I train too hard some days? I have no clue."
Kyu’s true fatal flaw is that he does not realize he has a fatal flaw. He is very confident is his abilities - as he often tries to improve them - but his confidence puts off his peers. He thinks he can do more than he actually can. His anger is another point; the  teenager doesn’t understand that force is not always the best tool.

Pet:

|"No."
N/A

Talents:

|"Son of Ares? Obviously I’m freaking talented."
* Stamina - Due to years of training in Camp Half Blood, Q has become quite the fighter. He has a strong spirit; he refuses to give up even if he’s losing the battle. Along with that he is able to swim and run for long distances because of training.
* Weaponry - When Q first arrived at camp he wasn’t sure which weapon he preferred, so he tried them all. This gave him knowledge on how to properly use all the weapons in the camp’s armory (at least most of them).

Weapons:

|"Depends on the day, but I always have Chuck Norris on me."
Kyu’s only true consisted weapon is his shield, Chuck Norris (he thought the name was funny). He has daggers and swords under his possession, but none of them last too long. The son of Ares has a nasty habit of snapping, bending, and (it was one time) melting his weapons.

Ethan Stark
| Name: Ethan Paul Stark
Name Meaning: Ethan [Strong] Paul [Small] Stark [Firm]
Gender: Male
Age: Ethan is Nineteen
Birthday: November 27th
Godly Parent: Zeus, the Lord of the Sky
Claimed: Yes
Years at Camp: Two Years

Mortal Family:

|"My mom is kind of a small town girl, I guess? We’ve lived in Ackley for like, ever, I think."
MacKinley Stark [Mother]: MacKinley, affectionately called ‘Mac’ by the entire population of Ackley, never intended to leave her hometown. There was something solid and reassuring about living where all her ancestors lived. She loved her town, her state, and her family’s occupation. There was no reason to leave the Starks and their accounting firm. She would go to a community college and earn her degree only to return to Ackley, where she would do farm reports for the locals. However, Mac’s life changed the second a certain dashing gentleman swept through the town. It was a short, passionate romance, and at the end of it she was left with a little boy. The community cursed the nameless man that had left MacKinley to raised her son alone. Ethan’s mother wouldn’t ever speak of his father. She seemed quiet and content, and no one knew otherwise.

|"They’re my twin cousins. We’re like, four months apart. We’re really close."
Mary & Daniel Stark [Cousins]: Mary and Daniel Stark are Ethan’s cousins. The twins are about four months older than Ethan, which made them all inseparable. Their father, David (Mac’s brother), stayed in Ackley and ended up working for a local farmer. He also married that farmer’s daughter, but that’s pretty irrelevant. Mary and Daniel are the only mortals, other than MacKinley, that know of Ethan’s demigod status. The cousins don’t look much alike - as Ethan’s hair is a dusty blonde compared to the usual Stark family’s brown curls - but they have similar values and interests.

Brief History:

|"There isn’t much to it, I guess? I lived in Ackley, Iowa, with my mom. Family was always less than ten minutes away. Everyone is really close knit out there. People look out for each other."
The fresh out of college, swept off her feet, version of MacKinley Stark was naive and innocent. She was experiencing love for the first time, and everyone could tell. She never stopped smiling and she never looked back. A few months later, though, that all changed. Her eyes were empty and her heart was heavy with responsibility and doubt. She had a son, Ethan, and no husband to share it with. Her family was within five miles of their little house, but she felt terribly alone. The townspeople of Ackley, Iowa, didn’t shun their precious MacKinley. Instead, they attempted to absorb all her sorrow and they shamed the man who abandoned her. She took a job in her family’s accounting firm, spending those first few years going through the motions.
Ethan was a rambunctious toddler, often wandering into where he wasn’t supposed to go. He once walked about into a crosswalk, saw a car coming, and laughed. His mother wasn’t laughing. The demigod got into trouble, but he wasn’t a loud kid. He was quiet, observing what her could instead of screaming for attention. Ethan never seemed to demand anything. His cousins, whom he played often with, were much louder. When Mary or Daniel didn’t get their favorite toy they would scream and scream. Ethan would just watch them.
As Ethan grew up he found his voice, but never seemed to use it. When faced with a chore he would complete the task, as if anything else was necessary, and then leave. His mother could often find him out by the cattle yards around supper time, drawing pictures of the animals. Their fridge would become covered with Ethan’s masterpieces. The demigod wasn’t the next Picasso or anything, but MaKinley was still proud of him. He was exceedingly hard-working, and could convince his cousins to join him, even when the work was tough.
High School was tough for Ethan. He was never a very bright kid, but that didn’t stop him from trying to get to the top of the class. Weekends were often spent at the drive in movie theater with his cousins and other friends. Weekdays were spent studying for school, being at school, and working on the farm. People at school liked Ethan. He was honest, kind and a pretty good wide receiver. The only problem was that Ethan didn’t really like people. He liked them fine, but he couldn’t be around them for long periods of time. He preferred the company of his border collie, Jake. Everyone knew the teenager was a little different; he didn’t find out how different until his junior year, when his mother told him.
Ethan remembered that day clearly. He was worrying about prom, which he had to fundraise for. He didn’t want to go, and none of his friends understood. MacKinley sat him down and spilled the secrets she had been keeping for sixteen years. He moved to camp right after the fall break. The transition was tough on him, especially without his dog or friends. Ethan missed home, but most of all he missed the familiarity he used to know. Everything in New York and Manhattan was different. There was traffic, rude people, and a new responsibility: being a son of Zeus. He hated it.

Appearance:

|"I don’t really look like my cousins. My hair’s blonde. I’m taller than them, too. That’s the worst part."
The first thing most people notice about Ethan is his height. He stands at about 6’3”, and towers over all his relatives (including his mother). It is as if his body is unconsciously trying to reach towards the sky. He fills out his height with muscle, created from farm work over several sweaty Iowa summers. Ethan’s muscle made football easy, as he was both agile and strong. The team loved him, and he loved his team. They only ever got on his nerves when they discussed his strong lack of facial hair. Ethan was tall and muscular, but he never seemed to be able to be truly ‘masculine’ in the eyes of his peers.
Ethan has a long, dramatic face, much to his own dismay. His jawline is lean and defined, very unlike the jaws in the rest of the Stark family. The demigod’s skin is a deep tan in the summertime, but is a fair color during the rest of the seasons. On his skin are few imperfections, the occasional scar from this or birthmark from that being the only exceptions. But these marks are small and insignificant when you take in the entirety of Ethan; he still seems to be made of marble.
The demigod’s eyes are either dark and dangerous or, more often, light and energetic. Despite his mood or the lighting, his eyes are blue. Not ocean blue, but sky blue, usually a shade similar to that of a cloudless day. His hair is a dusty blonde color, ranging from exceedingly curly to perfectly straight, depending on the day and if he's showered or not. Most of the time it is curly, though.

Personality:

|“What am I supposed to say?"
The first thing someone needs to understand about Ethan is that Ethan hates attention. He hates it. He would rather be in the fields all day than at a family gathering, even if his best friends Mary and Daniel were there. When he first arrived a camp he was met with expectations for being a son of Zeus, and it upset him. He doesn’t want to be popular. He definitely doesn’t want to lead armies. He just wants to be average.
However, he is also an extremely hard-working individual, which makes being ‘average’ difficult. Ethan doesn’t know how to do something unless he puts his whole heart into it. All or nothing, really. He is also very honest and an awful liar. This could be because of his closeness to his family, but Ethan couldn’t lie to a stranger either.  When he tries, his voice goes up and octave and his face gets all red.
Another important Ethan fact is that he is very loyal. He may not have many friends, but the few he does have are most likely close to him. He would do anything for his friends. Then again, Ethan’s had a tough time making friends in camp, because of their different origins. Being from a small town isn’t always a good thing, and the demigod has a tough time getting past stereotypes because of it.
All in all Ethan is a very hard-working demigod who would probably make small talk with anyone who talked to him first.

Fatal Flaw:

|"Uh..?"
Ethan has difficulties dealing with negatives in his life. He tends to avoid them, or pretend that they don’t exist. This denial is his fatal flaw.

Pet:

|"Jake’s at home."
Ethan’s mom got Jake about four years ago, but the demigod hasn’t seen the border collie since he left home. He will get pictures of the dog occasionally on his phone, but it’s not the same.

Talents:

|"I’m a pretty good shot."
* Accuracy - Ethan used to hunt with his uncle in Iowa. That’s part of the reason he’s a good shot.
* Electrokinesis - The demigod can administer a varying range of shocks, from static electricity to a painful shock. He doesn’t do it very often though, as he’s still experimenting with it.
* Swordsmanship - As with most big three offspring, Ethan is very skilled in the art of swordsmanship.

Weapons:

|"I have a bow and a sword, just in case."
Ethan prefers the use of his long range bow over his sword, but he always seems to use the sword more. Both are camp standard weapons. If the demigod concentrates, he can channel his electricity into the arrows, but he doesn’t do that often.

Pippa Caulfield
| Name: Pippa Anne Caulfield
Name Meaning: Pippa [Lover of Horses] Anne [Grace] Caulfield [Cold Field]
Gender: Female
Age: Pippa is Sixteen
Birthday: June 14th
Godly Parent: Hermes, the God of Thieves and Messengers
Claimed: Yes
Years at Camp: 3 years

Mortal Family:

|"She lost her spine a long time ago."
Robyn Caulfield [Mother]: The young Robyn Caulfield fell victim to her alcoholic mother’s mental abuse and her father’s physical abuse. When she was finally free of her suburban prison, in college, she wanted to redeem herself. She wanted to be a librarian as she enjoyed her english classes as a student. However, that dream soon turned into a nightmare. She found herself unable to function in a high stress environment; so, she dropped out. A certain charming, blond-haired man was there to catch her just as she fell. He would soon become the father of her first and only daughter, Pippa. Long story short: he left. Robyn wasn’t the same after that. She struggled with substance abuse, but always was gentle towards her daughter. She gave Pippa everything she could and consistently believed the lies her daughter often told her. When the demigod was twelve her mother found a boyfriend, Jonathan. He was everything she wasn’t: stable, sophisticated and seemingly strong. She’s very happy with him now.

|"He’s an ignorant jackass. I hate him."
Jonathan Marshall [Mother’s Boyfriend]: After Jonathan’s mother died in childbirth he was raised solely by his father. Their small family was in the middle class, unaffected by poverty or wealth. Jonathan’s father taught him that women were not people, but objects, meant to be used and thrown away as necessary. The man carried this false ideology around with him as he grew up and into his adult life. After graduating from a technological college for construction the man travelled to Independence, Missouri, where he met Robyn. She was easily manipulated, and Jonathan soon has her wrapped around his finger. He despises Pippa, though, as she is able to see him for his true intentions. Jonathan is currently working for a constructions company. While he has a steady income, his mental state is anything but. He has a horrible tendency to belittle others instead of understanding their point of view.

Brief History:

|"None of your business."
Approximately two months after the demigod was born Hermes left Robyn. The woman was able to find temporary jobs all over Missouri, but she could never sustain one. The small family was in and out of homeless shelters, consistently using food stamps to pay for food. Robyn would’ve gone back  to college, but she had no money to spend on such an education. Her family resented her for running away after high school, so they refused to support her financially. The two were truly on their own.
When Pippa was five she started going to school. Her mother had finally decided that they were to stay in Independence until the girl had graduated high school. Things were looking up; Robyn had a steadily paying job at a local hotel and Pippa was able to receive an education. The demigod was quite the firecracker, always giving her opinion when it wasn’t necessary. She struggled in school because of this, along with her stubbornness. Her peers adored her stupid boldness, though. Pippa learned that if you wanted to be loved, you had to be hated by some. She was okay with that.
Robyn suffered from an awful traffic accident when Pippa was eight years old. The demigod’s mother needed surgery, and it wasn’t going to be free. They went farther into debt after Robyn was given proper care and medication. Doctors specifically gave her pain medication, without the intention for her to become addicted to it. Pippa knew something was wrong with her mother when - even a year after the surgery - she was constantly taking pain medication. So one day the demigod stole the bottle with the medication inside of it. That night was the first - and only -  time Pippa was physically abused by her mother.
Pippa’s teacher noticed the girl’s black eye the next day at school, and when the demigod went to the nurse she admitted what happened. Robyn was given help for her addiction shortly after. The demigod remembers a trail at the local courts where she was almost separated from Robyn. Luckily  the two were allowed to stay together. Despite her love for her mother, the demigod formed a lying habit. It began as little white lies, but slowly changed the girl into a compulsive liar. She would say she was going to a friend’s house when she was going to the basketball court down the street. Pippa didn’t need to lie, she just enjoyed the rush of pretending.
Her twelfth year brought a new face into her life: the face of Jonathan Marshall. Pippa hated him from the start, when the man explained how inferior women were to men. She openly defied him, and would get beaten for it. Her mother watched, but said nothing. Pippa hated her for it, and told her so. Her teacher’s continually questioned her about her bruises, but she always lied.  The now thirteen year old ran away from home after seven months with the new couple.
The teenager created a new persona for herself when she ended up at camp (thanks to a satyr named Nicholas, but she’d never tell you that). She was still the queen of campus, cracking jokes and giving her opinion whenever given the chance, but she dared herself to disregard fear. The short time she went to school after being introduced to Jonathan was filled with darkness and self-doubt. Her friends left her, not understanding why Pippa had suddenly become so sullen. She dared herself never to be that person again. The demigod wanted to thicken her skin so nothing - not even human emotion - could touch her.

Appearance:

|"I don’t actually look like my mom."
Robyn Caulfield sports auburn hair and dark, almost black eyes. Her daughter is an almost polar opposite image of her - excluding their sly grins. The demigod is - to her dismay - shorter than her mother, standing at five feet, precisely. For this reason she is often seen walking around in high heels. Her skin is fair and most likely to pale for her liking. She prefers being slightly tanner, but if exposed to the sun she normally burns. She’s been told she looks like a younger version of Britt Robertson.
Pippa’s face is heart shaped and almost perfectly symmetrical, much to her dismay. She wishes there was something on her face that was different than the average white girl, but her wish was not to be. Her eyes are reptilian green color, and often surrounded by black eyeliner. She also adores mascara, and uses in excessively. The teenager has recently upgraded her eyebrow game, as she colors in her brows. Her hair is blond, but the hue depends on the season. In the winter her hair is a dusty color, but in the summer it is comparable to a bleach blond shade. Pippa’s hair is really voluminous with tons of curls. However her hair is done, it is always dramatic.
Her wardrobe, despite her family’s lack of funds, has always seemed to be nothing short of stellar. Pippa was, and still is, always able to dress to a ten. She enjoys the color black and constantly wears it in her daily clothing. While she enjoys skirts, leggings and heels, Pippa is able to maneuver around camp with ease, no matter the clothing.

Personality:

|"It's pretty loud."
You would hear Pippa before you see her. She’s constantly speaking loudly about her opinions, especially when she knows they aren’t wanted. One of her favorite things to do is talk about uncomfortable subjects. She feels like by being able to talk about it she is somehow more powerful than the person she’s talking to. It’s weird. Her love for debates is accompanied by a thirst for miscellaneous information. She doesn’t care for trigonometry, or Darwin’s evolutionary theory; she’d much rather know if Cleopatra had a pet, and what it’s name was.
Pippa is also knowledgeable on the subject of lying. It’s actually not knowledge, but talent. She has been lying since her childhood, and feels no guilt in the act of giving false information. The teenager feels like lies give her life more dimension. There’s more to her story than truth, and she feels like it is her friends’ duty to figure out what is true and what is false. She’s constantly playing life like it is a game.
The demigod is a very social person, and she likes to go out to parties or gatherings. The event doesn’t matter to Pippa; if she is there it’ll be fun. Her self-confidence (some may call it arrogance) either seems to put off or turn on the people around her. Friends of the teenager are often similar to her, and she spends more time with them than she does training (she’s reminded of this quite often). The group also spends an abundance of time scheming up pranks to play on the other cabins. Pippa likes to think of herself as a mastermind when it comes to pranks.

Fatal Flaw:

|"No clue."
(She literally just lied). Pippa's fatal flaw is easily her compulsive lying. No one can really trust what she says.

Pet:

|"You think I could actually afford one?"
N/A

Talents:

|"Well, since you asked..."
* Speed - Pippa is speedy, both mentally and physically. Her wit is often unmatched by her peers. She is also very agile and quick in the arena.
* Lying - As previously mentioned multiple times, the demigod is a talented liar.
* Crosswords - For some reason the demigod is really good at crosswords. She doesn't quite get it either.

Weapons:

|"THIS IS SPARTAAAA!"
Sparta is Pippa's dagger. It is sixteen inches long and made entirely of celestial bronze. The hilt of the weapon is worn from belonging to many demigods over the centuries, but she still adores it.

Zodiac Sign: Gemini

Cormac MaCallister
| Name: Cormac Eugene MaCallister, he prefers Cal, though
Name Meaning: Cormac [Charioteer] Eugene [Noble] MaCallister [Defending Men]
Gender: Male
Age: Cal is Nineteen
Birthday: October 2nd
Godly Parent: Apollo, the God of Healing and Light
Claimed: Yes
Years at Camp: 4 years

Mortal Family:

|"I don't even know my real mom's name."
Naomi Brandt [Birth Mother]: Naomi was one of those people who was always told she was not going to go anywhere in life. Being of a low income family, the woman was hardly surprised. She believed them. School was particularly difficult for her, because she was the oldest of her siblings. After school she was in charge of taking care of her younger siblings. Her mother was a stripper and her father dealt drugs when he was not drowning himself in alcohol. After graduating from high school, (being the first in her family to do so) Naomi stayed at home and began working as a barista in one of Portland's many coffee shops. When she got home everyday she would work on sketches and poetry. It was in a coffee shop that she met Apollo. The two were instantly attracted to one another. When Naomi realized she was pregnant, the Greek Deity was gone. She turned to her art to fix herself.

|"She's the only motherly figure I know. I call her mom, because she is my mom."
Alexandra MaCallister [Adopted Mother]:Alexandra and Douglas MaCallister had been told that they would never be able to have children shortly after they got married. Both were crushed, Alexandra the most. She had grown up in a wealthy family (as Douglas had) and always dreamed of having children of her own to fill a house with. The thought of having no children was not an option for her. She informed Douglas that they were going to adopt, and that was that. An important note is that the MaCallisters are very, very Caucasian. However, Alexandra knew when she met Cormac (he was unnamed at the time) that she wanted to take him home; he was going to be her son. Douglas was less convinced, but after weeks of arguments, Alexandra prevailed. She loved Cormac (Cal, as he prefers) like her own son. She would do anything for him.

|"He doesn't understand me, but he tries. They both do."
Douglas MaCallister [Adopted Father]: Douglas was the reason the MaCallisters were unable to reproduce, but if you asked him, the doctor was wrong and they just hadn't tried hard enough. He wasn't really interested in starting a family at the time, but he would do anything to please his new wife. The man figured that with his PhD in Business, and a growing firm, his money would've been enough to satisfy the woman. Apparently not. When Alexandra told him they were to adopt, he was ready. He couldn't wait for a healthy son, even if the child wasn't technically his own flesh and blood. However, when his wife told him she was interested in adopting and African American child, his views changed. It wasn't that he was racist (if you asked him), it was just that he couldn't relate to, or understand the struggles the child would face. In the end, Douglas lost the argument, but gained a son. He actually ended up liking the kid, too.

Brief History:

|"I could be wrong here, but I don't think I had a normal childhood."
The only thing Naomi Brandt loved more than the scent of coffee on her shirt after work, was the chance to work on her actual work once she returned home. She couldn't focus, though, thanks to the image of a gorgeous young man that had arrived in the shop later that afternoon. She went to bed thinking of him. The next day, she saw him. And the day after that, and so on until the two were in what you would call a relationship. Naomi told Apollo she was pregnant, and the man was thrilled. After she shut her eyes that night, she never saw him again. Before having her child the woman spoke to an adoption clinic, explaining how she did not want this child. It was a lie - Naomi wanted this child desperately - but she could not care for it. Shortly after her son was given up for adoption, Naomi Brandt died in a drive by shooting, a few meters from where she had worked.
The demigod was in the orphanage for two months, and then he was given a name. Cormac. It didn't fit the boy one bit, but he wasn't able to know that until he was much older. He lived a very easy life with his rich adopters, Alexandra and Douglas MaCallister, in Hillsboro, Oregon. Douglas's firm began to fail by the time Cormac was three, and so he became employed for Wells Fargo. The demigod's adopted father was sure to be home every supper so that he could eat with his family. Alexandra was a stay at home mom most of the time, and she spent a majority of her day making sure her son knew he was loved. She didn't care that their skin colors differed, or that he wasn't really her child. She loved him, and told him so every day.
Hillsboro wasn't nearly as dangerous for Cal (he began calling himself Cal the first day he attended school) as say, Huston, Texas would've been, but there was still confusion in his classroom. He was different, and he was reminded of it every day. Cal also struggled with reading. The demigod could not read to save his life. He would try, and Alexandra would help him every night, but the words always floated off the page. The boy was diagnosed with dyslexia halfway through first grade. It was another thing that made him different. Most children were friendly to him, but the few that were not made his days of schooling miserable.
Cal had friends in Hillsboro High School (go Spartans!) but they couldn't stick up to all the bullies that wandered the halls. He didn't tell anyone at home about it, but one day he heard his parents talking about it. Douglas was furious (Cal hadn't ever heard him use that tone of voice - especially on his wife) and screaming at Alexandra, cursing the day they picked up the small boy from the orphanage. He was frustrated, exasperated. The MaCallisters knew Cal was different when they brought him home, but they were beginning to wonder if he could ever truly belong. To make matters worse, Cal was starting to realize that he had special abilities.
Cal first thought he was just imagining the shifts in light, that they were caused by something else. After hours of experimenting with his gift in his least favorite classes (English, Biology) he realized that he could bend light. The demigod was giddy with excitement, and he immediately told his closest friend, his mother. She was startled, to say the least, but when Cal showed her, she was concerned. Alexandra didn't tell Douglas of their son's abilities, and it wasn't until a goat legged man showed up that they had to talk about it.
The satyr's name was Steven, and he explained to the MaCallister's what the hell was going on. Douglas and Alexandra thought they were both losing their minds at first, but after a few hours of intense debate, it made sense. They had been raising a demigod. Cal only spent summers at camp until he was seventeen, then he decided he belonged within Camp Half Blood's walls. He misses his parents, but speaks to them on the phone often.

Appearance:

|"I don't really look like my parents at all. I'm a lot taller than them, firstly."
Cal towers over his adoptive parents, standing at 6' 3". He has a very lean, lanky build, mostly thanks to his high metabolism. Alexandra says he grows like a weed. Each time he came home from camp after the summer he had grown at least two inches. As he has aged his rich brown skin has cleared of blemishes. The demigod's nose is small but angular, sitting in the relative center of his heart shaped face.
His eyes are something that baffled his mother in particular. Only in the sunlight are people able to see the true beauty of Cal's eyes. They are a golden brown, but in light they appear to be clear amber. Cal's hair sits atop his head in tight, black coils. Alexandra attempted to brush it when he was younger, but she soon realized that was a waste of time. Cal actually likes his hair; he doesn't need to spend time on it in the morning.
Because the demigod's adoptive parents were wealthy, Cal learned to dress himself well. He wear suits and ties on a regular occasion, but he surely doesn't mind them. He enjoys dressing himself, most commonly in jeans, tee shirts and sneakers.

Personality:

|"Uh, I mean, I'm not normally... I don't know."
Thanks to years of being bullied for his differences, Cal has become a very cautious demigod. Cal will not volunteer himself for quests or the front lines. He hates any kind of confrontations, especially fighting. He also doesn't jump at the opportunity to experience new things, and he doesn't particularly like introductions. He can communicate effectively once he has established friends, it just takes him a while to get friends. Upon a first meeting Cal often quietly stumbles over his words and makes lame jokes. He means well, he was simply extremely sheltered.
Cal is a very supportive, loyal friend. He enjoys seeing others do well, and would actually rather his friends succeed than himself. The demigod is also very observant, and does not need words to understand when he needs to give someone space. Empathy is definitely one of his strengths, and he uses it a lot when he is in the infirmary, which is nearly all the time.
After four years, the demigod has a lot of responsibility in the infirmary - his friends would often say too much. He has trouble saying no to someone when they ask him for help, and thus he becomes overwhelmed. However, Cal would never complain or say that he's feeling stressed (although it would be obvious by how he looks). Cal is as altruistic and loyal as they come, but that could mean the end of him.

Fatal Flaw:

|"I don't like fighting, so that'd problematic."
Cal is capable of fighting, he just hates doing it because of how scared he it makes him. The demigod's actual flaw would be his extreme loyalty to his friends.

Pet:

|"I never had one, my dad didn't like dogs or cats."
N/A

Talents:

|"The whole, light bend-y thing?"
* Photokinesis - Cal has the ability to bend light. He has only really used it in the infirmary when he needs more light for something, like stitching up a wound. While he can bend light, he can not create it, and can only bend it for an hour a day.
* Medical Skills - After four years of working in the infirmary Cal has worked his way up to being on of the better medics in Camp Half Blood. He enjoys helping people and being able to utilize his skill.

Weapons:

|"My bow isn't that cool, but my quiver is. It automatically refills itself. I don't actually use it that often..."
Cal really hates fighting, he despises it. He would rather spend all of his time in the infirmary, stitching up people. However, he has a friend in the Hephaestus cabin who made an automatically reloading quiver for him. Don't ask Cal how it works - he doesn't know. (weapon perk used on quiver)
