Being her for only a week and still not having friends, but only her cat to talk to that no one could see except her, or when Lion wanted them to see him. Alayna stood there watching the kids eat and some of the kids looking at her as if she was some psychopath talking to herself. She let Lion go walk around by himself and she just stood there looking lost. Some kids bumped into her on purpose, and some kids had the nerve to just bush her back to make her fall, but she kept her balance. Alayna walked towards to where the food was. She grabbed a plate and just got a salad. She sat by herself at a table in the back. She started to dig in her salad, which was a good thing because she hadn't eaten in a long time.
She stood back up and went to get more salad. She had a small smile on her face because she was actually enjoying the camp now. She kept walking and got more salad, and she but some kind of salad dressing on it and it tasted delicious. She was walking until some kids were arguing. They then started fighting and she walked away as quick as she could, so she wouldn't get hurt.
BUMP She crashes into someone seeing her salad go all over them. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry. Please don't hurt me." She was scared. She was afraid that these people would take anything the wrong way that they will physically hurt someone.
Eli, being a male and a teenager, always ate a lot. He liked eating, so therefore he would. If that meant he would eat about four burgers whenever they were offered, so be it. He had gained the nickname of 'bottomless pit' for a reason, and didn't really mind it. If the food was good, he would eat it, especially after a long morning of slaving away in the forges or the mechanical shop.
Walking into the Mess Hall, his hair a mess from all of his frustration, he headed into the line and picked up a plate. Eli looked like a disaster, with an old, faded orange tee shirt clinging to his frame, along with torn jeans lined with grease. He also might've smelt a little like burning cotton and engines, but that was irrelevant; he was hungry, so who cared what he looked like? Eli surely didn't, not as he stacked his plate with a variety of chips, sandwiches and fruits.
The demigod then fixed his eyes on cabin nine's table, and headed over to it. He set his food down, noting how few of his cabin members were there. Two of his half sisters were talking over some blueprints, but other than that, none showed up. Waving to the two of them, he headed back to the line to grab some desert. On his way over, he barely noticed a small girl run into him, until salad painted his old shirt. "Whoa," he muttered, looking down at the dressing an vegetables clinging to his shirt. Eli heard the fear and terror in the girl's voice and took pity on it.
"Hey, it's fine, I didn't like this shirt anyways," he replied, offering the girl a kind smile. She seemed shy and timid, unlike Eli, but in need of a friend as well. As he picked lettuce off of his shirt, he said, "I'm Eli, what's your name?"

Alayna had her eyes closed waiting for food to be thrown on her or even worse getting hit. She opened her eyes finally and looked up seeing it was a tall boy. What has she gotten herself into. He looked about six foot tall, and to her every guy was muscular. She backed up a bit and put her hands together still with a scared look on her face. " I did not mean to do that at all. I will buy you a new shirt." she promised.
"Hey, it's fine, I didn't like this shirt anyways," she heard the boy say. She gave a small smile back and looked down at her feet then back up at him "I-I'm Alayna." She said. She rubbed her neck because she was looking up, and if she just looked straight she would have been looking at his chest the whole time. Which might of made him uncomfortable. She then backed up a bit more, so she wouldn't be looking all the way up. She then stopped and saw him perfectly fine. She had to look up a bit. This is better than looking all the way up. she thought to herself.
Eli watched as she closed her eyes, like she was expecting pain or harsh words. Some of the campers at camp could've given that to her, but not him. While the demigod was a skilled and aggressive fighter, he preferred to keep that to the training sessions. His height also could seem a little scary, especially to some of the smaller kids, but Eli normally meant well. He chuckled softly at her comment, shaking his head. He had plenty more shirts to get salads on, this one surely wouldn't hurt.
He was glad to see a smile on her face, even though she still looked hesitant to speak to him. Her words were soft and fragile as she spoke, making Eli wonder if she had been hurt as a younger child. "Alayna, huh?" he mused, nodding as he wiped some of the lettuce in his hands into the trash. "I think you're the first Alayna I've ever met," Eli commented with a smile. He looked back at cabin nine's table, noticing that his two sisters had left, leaving it vacant except for his unattended plate.
"Do you need somewhere to sit?" he offered, raising an eyebrow at the small girl. "I could use someone to keep me company."

Alayna then grabbed her plate from the ground and threw the rest of the salad into the trash. She kept the plate in her hand and looked back at Eli. She smiled when he said she was the first Alayna "Yeah, well i would say the same thing about your name, but I've meet a couple of Eli's in life." she told him. She took out her hand for a hand shake, but instead she took a piece of lettuce off of him, throwing it in the trash. She was being helpful, she would hate to have food on her shirt.
She nodded and smiled "yeah. I'm going to get more salad, so I'll meet you over there." she said and walked to get more. She got a new plate from her plate from being on the floor and she got more salad. Turing around she made sure she wouldn't bump into anyone.
She walked over to where she saw the boy looking. She sat down and looked around to see if he was around. She didn't see him, maybe he just ricked her, or he went to get a new shirt. She turned back around and started eating waiting for Eli.
Eli was happy to the a smile on her face, not sure if she was warming up to him or not. Shy people were confusing like that, sometimes it just took a little compassion to open them up. Laughing at her comment, he simply nodded. Eli was a pretty common name, that meant something like 'uplifted', but personally the only thing going up had been his height recently. "Fair enough," he commented with a nod. His gaze followed her hand as it plucked more food off of his shirt.
"Alright," Elijah said as she left, walking towards the bathrooms so he could clean the dressing off of his shirt. After he was clean to his standards, he jogged back to cabin nine's table and took a seat where his plate was still sitting but Alayna. He looked at her meek salad compared to his plate chocked with three sandwiches, a pile of chips, along with two slices of watermelon.
Popping a chip into his mouth, the demigod looked at the girl, clearing his throat. "So, where's your demigod-ness come from?" Eli asked, raising an eyebrow at the smaller girl. He then took a bite out of his ham and cheese sandwich, at least the first of three.

Waiting for Eli to return she felt something on her shoulders. Turning her head she smoked seeing Lion "Hey. We might make our first friend today. He seems really nice." Lion's respond was with a purr. She put a carrot on the table and Lion started eating it. She seemed a bit crazy talking to Lion in other's eyes, but she was the only one who could see him because she didn't let anyone else see him and Lion hasn't trust anyone enough to let anyone else see him as well.
She stood up and got a bowl of milk and walked back over giving it to Lion. She looked around and no one was looking and she jumped up when Eli came back "You scared me." she spoke in a soft tone. She then turned her attention to Lion as he was still drinking his milk. She looked down at her plate and then his. She didn't now if she could eat that much, probably not with a girl for her size. It wouldn't surprise her if she could though. She looked at Lion and asked "Go ahead show yourself."
Lion smiled revealing himself to Eli, the boy that she had just met. Lion walked over to the boy and started to examine him "My mother. Melione. And you." she said grabbing Lion so he wouldn't make Eli uncomfortable. She then let him go and he went back to Eli. She gave a small smile "I think he likes you." her words making Lion look back with a smile.

Eli hadn't meant to scare the girl, so he only shrugged at her response. The girl must've been a little flightier than he had anticipated. He continued eating anyways, finding that his sandwich was actually really good, they must have been using the real cheese instead of the packaged kind. While mid bite, he heard Alayna say something to someone, but not him. Confused, he looked up from his plate, to see a cat. But it was no normal cat, no, this cat was as pale as a ghost, and had bright blue eyes.
He swallowed his chunk of food, still staring at the creature in front of him. He wasn't sure if he should be frightened, or intrigued by it's appearance. Alayana seemed to sense his discomfort as she pulled him back. Melione, goddess of... ghosts? Oh. Eli looked up at the girl dumbly and nodded. "Oh, cool," he said with a small smile. "Hephaestus," Eli added as the cat neared him once more.
He shoved the last piece of food into his mouth and quickly swallowed, then put a hand out for the cat to smell. Eli hadn't had a pet before, so he wasn't sure if cats liked to be petted or not. He never was much of a cat person, but then again, he'd never seen a ghost cat before either. "What's his name?" the demigod asked, looking up at Alayna with a soft smile.

Alayna had smiled at Eli taking another bite from her salad. "Hephaestus? That's really cool. Do you like being able to have the ability to make weapons?" she asked. She wanted to start a coversation. She really didn't like talking because all she was used to was being in her room with alone. All she can remember was that she did something she can't take back. She shook her head trying to get the deep thoughts out of her mind.
She looked over at Lion seeing that he did like Eli. She smiled Lion hasn't met anyone in Hus whole life. They just never really trusted someone. Why did Alayna trust Eli so much? She didn't know. Maybe it was just his actions. He didn't beat her up or yell at her for the food on his shirt, he offered her a place to sit which wasn't by herself alone in a crappy dirty table in the back. He was kind, generous, and he did have a big appetite which kind of made him look like her father at some point. She gave a soft chuckle to herself hoping he didn't hear here thinking she is crazy for laughing for no reason.
"His name is Lion." she spoke at the same time he had asked her what his name was. "Lion. His name is Lion." she repeated herself just to make sure that if he didn't hear her the first time. Mostly anyone that talked as the same time as Alayna, they always talked over her because of her soft gentle voice she used.
Eli smiled at the thought of his parentage. He was happy with who his father was, despite the fact that he couldn't change it. The demigod enjoyed working hard each day in the hot, humid environment that was the forges, but it gave him satisfaction, and that was all he needed. "Yeah, I could if I wanted too," he said with a slow nod. "I work better with cars though," he added with a smile. Cars were his life, basically, and he wouldn't change it for anything. Of course, he always could make a weapon for a friend if the situation demanded it.
Hearing the girl's soft voice again, he nodded. Lion. The demigod didn't know if the name fit the transparent cat well, but he hadn't seen what it could do either. Eli smiled as he hesitantly patted the cat's head, before scratching behind where the ears of the cat once were, before it died and came back. "How'd you come across him?" the demigod asked, turning his gaze back to her.

Alayna finally finished her salad and she pushed the plate up. She looked at him and smiled "My father was in love with cars.And so was my stepbrother." she told Eli. She thought about what had happened between her and her step brother. She looked at Lion and he gave her a look as if she knew what she was thinking about. Dark time in her past. She closed her eyes images flash in her head. Why would she do such a thing like that. She stood up "Excuse me." she said. Once she walked away Lion and dissapered not showing himself to Eli anymore. Alayna kept walking and walked into a restroom. She locked the door and walked over to a mirror. She washed her face trying to clear all the images out of her mind. She looked in the mirror and she took a deep breath. "Calm down. The past is the past focus on the present, but not the future. " she unlocked the door and walked out. She sat back down where she was.
Looking down at her feet, out of the corner of her eye she saw Eli say something. She looked over and asked "What?" she didn't hear a word that came from his mouth. She saw that Lion was gone and she hoped that Eli didn't ask why she left.
