I am a fire gasoline
come pour yourself all over me

Kat walked out of cabin nine with a smile on her face. She hadn't smiled in so long because of Colin's death it felt good to smile. It was a bad time to be smiling at, but she didn't care. She couldn't care about anything right now other then what she was about to do. She was going to do it in the cabin courtyard where she made all her memories. She smoked all her cigarettes there, built there, and made her first and best friend there. She also killed someone there. She shook her head to get rid of the bad thoughts and just wanted to be happy with what little time she had left. But there was only one thing that rang in her mind. Skyler. She had met him there at the cabin courtyard, hopefully he wouldn't be there. But most of all, hopefully he would understand. This was her one chance to stop hurting herself and everyone she loved. She didn't want to be a killer anymore. She had already murdered three people. Her mom, her step-dad, and Colin. She didn't really care about killing her step-dad, he actually deserved it. But Colin and her mom were different.

Kat walked toward the cabin courtyard with her knife in her hand, She flipped it over in her hand watching it shine in the sun. She had never felt so happy before. And she had never felt free. She had never used the word free to describe herself. She had described herself as a killer or murderer. That was it.

When Kat finally got to the cabin courtyard, she looked around. Not many people were there, thankfully. Kat sat at the bench she had sat at so many time to smoke her cigarette. She took one out of her pocket and started smoking it. Her last cigarette. She was pretty sure they wouldn't have cigarettes in the Underworld. She wondered what it was like and where she would end up. With her luck, she would probably end up in the worst part of the Underworld. She sighed. She just wished she paid more attention in Greek mythology class so she at least knew what the place was called.

When she finished smoking she threw the cigarette on the ground and grabbed the knife next to her. It still had a faint pink color to it because she killed Colin with it. She wanted to kill herself with the same knife. She took a deep and shaky breath before putting the knife near stomach, ready to end everything.

NikolaiWINCHESTER
Nikolai had a feeling that today was going to be a good day. He walked around the cabins, letting the sunshine warm his hair and tan his face. It was mostly sunny outside, just a few puffy white clouds obscuring his view of the bright blue sky. He was pretty happy at the moment, and he smiled. Nik loved to smile, it made your day instantly better, no matter how dark and gleam and grim your life seemed at that moment in time, smiling made everything alright again. Smiling was his remedy. Well, that and forgetting. You had to forget in order to move on.

Monster Nik was getting increasingly soft spoken, and Nikolai was happy. He supposed it was because he had time to forget about him, or because of the events that had happened to him while at camp that made him think about others and not just himself. At one point, Nik thought that he was the only person to be bullied like he did. Obviously, he was wrong. He still would have thought that if not for his girlfriend, Livia. He didn't pry into her past, Nik didn't want to make her relive those horrible memories, but he did know she had killed someone by hints she had given him. He hadn't told her about his past either, but there would come a time where he would and when he did it would be like a massive weight had been lifted from his shoulders.

But today wasn't about Liv. It was about Nikolai and how  happy he was today. So if he was happy, why weren't others? Nik saw a girl sitting on a bench, smoking, with a pink tinged knife beside her. Now, everyone knew that a demigod needed to have weapons on his person in order to protect himself, but Nik had a feeling that the girl wasn't going to protect herself from monsters anytime soon. He knew this because he had tried to do what the girl was thinking of doing before. Suicide had been an answer to Nikolai in middle school, but obviously he had not done it correctly or else he wouldn't be here right here and now, to help this girl.

Nik watched her for a couple of moments, to see what she would do with the knife. Nik's assumptions had been correct, because after she finished her cigarette (gods how he missed those) she put the knife to her chest, and Nikolai knew he had to interfere. He didn't even know the girl, but she shouldn't commit suicide. He ran as fast as he could, and luckily he wasn't too far away from where the girl was. Nikolai, as soon as he had reached the girl, ripped the knife from her hands. "What the hell do you think you're doing?!" Nik screamed, though his voice was hushed. He stowed the knife in his pocket, so the girl couldn't get it back without fighting him first. Nikolai Winchester was not going to let this stranger die, not while he could do anything about it.
