The Legacy House: Civil Wars Empty
PostSubject: The Legacy House: Civil Wars   The Legacy House: Civil Wars I_icon_minitimeSun Nov 10, 2013 2:36 pm

the last rays of sunlight slipped below the horizon, and night began to set in. Dark clouds had been rolling in all evening and now were looming above, threatening a severe storm. The wind was throwing dirt and debris across the ground and through the air. Black smoke was rolling across the land, covering everything. Screams could be heard through out the city, and all over the world. This smoke seemed to be causing mass destruction and terrorism. Before long it arrived in a place, beyond the realms of this world, but very much a part of it. A palace of sorts, it was Olympus. And standing in the middle of a courtyard, were three men, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. Others were scattered around the grounds, all had weapons drawn and were ready for a battle. One by one the gods of Olympus succumbed to the powers of the black smoke. Even the great king himself was no match, as he too was taken. Soon there was but one warrior standing, the great sorceress Hecate. Her battle was hard fought, but the smoke was relentless, and it over powered her. Her last breath was used to protect the powers of Olympus. She watched as various items, the legacies of the gods, fell from the sky and were scattered around the earth. Then everything went silent, the smoke slowly dissipated, and vanished from site, only the dark clouds remained. Deep below the earth, things began stirring, waking from an eternal sleep.

A soft rain was falling through out the the city. It was dark, damp, and cold and this had been the case for three days now. Aidan, walked along the street, avoiding puddles and loose debris that had been strewn all over the ground. In hand was a sword, about three feet in length, his attention was rapt and all senses were working over time. He started at a noise from beyond the shadows, a dog bounded out and stopped in its tracks when it saw Aidan. It was shaggy and stray looking, with sallow eyes, and yellowing teeth. Aidan waited for the dog to carry on, but it didnt move. The dog growled, louder and deeper than natural. Then it began to change, getting larger and sprouting a second head. Soon it towered over Aidan, "Orthos," he spoke out loud.

Lamia paced around the room, she was anxious an annoyed. She turned when someone else entered.
"Geryon," she spat out, "your orders were to cause the boy no harm." she added as she pounced on the large giant. Geryon flinched, but didnt back down.
"My orders were to test the boys skill. The harm was inevitable." he retorted, blocking an attempted attack from Lamia.
"We both have our own jobs to do, so how about we let each other do them, with out interference." Geryon continued.
"If the boy is harmed again, then next time you will not be able to stop me." Lamia threatened. She muttered an incantation and vanished in a cloud of smoke.

Aidan woke up with a start, his head was throbbing and he couldnt see anything in the dark. He was laying on a cold, hard rock surface. The air was cold and drafting a smell of stale and must. Aidan's eyes began to adjust to the lack of light, and he could make out that he was in some sort of jail cell. He could see another figure in the cell next to him, but he couldnt make out any details.

Chaz walked up the front steps and approached the door. The house was very old, and the front door hung crookedly on its hinges. Chaz pushed on the door, and it swung open, creaking softly. He entered slowly, his wand drawn, ready to defend himself. He saw that the house had been completely ransacked, someone had already been here. 'And may yet still be,' he thought to himself. Chaz made his way into the living room, carefully avoiding the mess on the floor. There was someone sitting on the couch, facing away from the doorway.
"It's not here, dont waste your time searching." A voice said.
"Kira," Chaz responded, "What makes you think I dont already have it?" he added, asking.
"We both know that if you did, neither one of us would be here." she replied. Chaz had to admit that she was right.
"Then I guess the hidden remains secret." he stated.
"For now." Kira replied, smiling.
