Alaska quickly finished packing the rest of her bag. She put ambrosia, nectar, water bottles, Dr. Pepper, energy bars, some candy, a flashlight, some batteries, her phone and her charger, and some bubbles. She took the bubbles just in case she got bored, she was certainly not going to bring a book. After packing, Alaska quickly changed into her black and white striped shirt and her dip dye pants. She slipped on her black boots and put her matching hat firmly on her hat. Then she remembered her weapon. She quickly put both of her knives in her pack. Then Alaska was ready to go the Mess Hall. She picked the Mess Hall because there was food there and she didn't have to worry about running out of food. Emily walked out of Cabin 16 and walked to the Mess Hall. She didn't feel like running to the Mess Hall like everyone else and it was the middle of the day so they weren't coming out just yet.
When at the Mess Hall, Alaska picked a corner that was near the kitchen. She put her pack down and sat right next to it. She looked around there weren't that many people right now, but later it was going to get filled. Alaska took out her phone and put her earphones and started listening to music. Then she finally drifted asleep. It was a nightmare sleep, like any other sleep she had. It was during the zombie apocalypse and it took place in the Cabin Courtyard. Alaska was just walking and without her weapon. She didn't know about the zombie apocalypse at the time. Then a zombie cam out and somehow her powers weren't working and the zombie came up to her and well you know.
Alaska quickly woke up from her nightmare. She looked at the time 7:30. Soon they were going to be out. She looked around and there were a lot of people. And by a lot there was like a lot a lot. Almost half the camp was there. Alaska took her bubbles out of her pack and started blowing them. One of the campers turned around, "Would you stop that! You're getting soap on me!" Alaska replied with a smile, "Make me." She blew more bubbles on him purposely. "And it's not like you don't need a bath." She said and smirked. The camper turned around and continued talking to his friends again. Soon a girl sat next to her, "Hello," She said and continued blowing bubbles.
Ugh, I always thought Zombie Apolcalypse's were cool. Some undead creatures crawling to eat my brains, having to fend them off with only my wits and my weapons. I didn't think it would be this boring. Any self-respecting Zombie would be out day and night. But no, these Zombies have decided to only come out at night, leaving us the day to prepare. Looking around the slowly crowding Mess Hall, I shook my head. Idiots.
Obviously I had taken some of those daylight hours to go back to the Cabin and pack a duffel bag of clothes and other stuff. Ambrosia, Nectar, a torch. My zippo lighter and a couple boxes of cigarettes. Just like a sleepover. "Oooo, lets paint our nails and tell each other scary stories while being incredibly big girls! How fun!". More like "Oh, its nighttime. Look at all those rotting corpses coming to kill us all. how fun!" I was wearing an American flag style Tank Top, with ripped skinny jeans and a worn down pair of red converse. Since it seemed like a sort of theme, I also had an American flag necklace and earrings on. You'd think I was an American Soldier in Call of Duty Black Ops. Gonna defend my homeland in my homeland colors and all that crap. Please. My hair was hanging down in its usual brown curls, and I was tempted to pull it back, given my plans for the night.
I'd been in the Mess Hall for ages. Mostly, I'd chosen here cause of the food. Food was nice. But it was getting boring sitting around. The sun was well on its way to setting and Campers were slowly trickling in, in groups of two or three, too afraid to be on their own. Oh come on! I thought we had already established that Zombies don't come out in the day? Everyone should just grow a backbone... It was bad enough that the I had chosen a really quiet corner to sit in, and now it wasn't quiet anymore because of stupid people coming in. Couldn't anyone have some peace and quiet during a Zombie Apolcaypse? No? Too much to ask? Thought so.
Making a face as another group of about five people came through the door, I pulled out the box of cigarettes and took one of the white and tan sticks out. Carefully, so as not to drop the thing (Little chance of that, but one could not be too careful), I pulled out my Zippo Lighter and lit it, taking a large puff and blowing the smoke out in one long breath. 'Hey! Could you not smoke in here?! Its gonna be bad enough with so many people crowded in one place without that problem!' some kid a couple seats down from me, who'd only arrived a couple minutes ago, sounded pretty annoyed. Yeah, carry on being annoyed. I stood and shouldered my duffel bag, taking another puff. Then, walking away, I stopped too blow the smoke out right in his face, which sent him into a little coughing fit. 'Yeah. Whatever. My heart goes out too you, not. I have better things to be doing than being told by you to stop smoking.'
The next corner I found, I almost hoped would be okay. It looked okay. This girl was blowing bubbles. Blowing bubbles, blowing smoke, not much of a difference. When she spoke to me, I felt like doing exactly what I did to the guy earlier, and then just walking out. But the whole playing nice thing and keeping my nice new spot made me give her a sideways look. 'Hey.'

"I saw what that kid said to you. I don't really mind you smoking if you don't mind me blowing bubbles." She said and shrugged. She continued blowing bubbles. Then the thought came to her, what if she froze the bubble? Alaska pointed her finger at one of the bubbles. A thin sheet of ice covered the entire bubble. She smiled because she was proud of her ice bubble. Then the ice bubble crashed into the kid that yelled at her before. The ice bubble shattered and the ice pieces fell to the ground around his feet. He turned around with an angry look on his face and rubbed his back where the ice bubble had hit him. "That is it!" Then he came after her. Alaska laughed. She froze the ground in front of him and he slipped. He landed straight on his butt. Everyone started laughing, even his friends. Alaska smirked. Although, the fight wasn't over yet. He got back on his feet and came at Alaska again. She rolled her eyes and froze his fists and his feet so it was almost impossible to move.
Alaska turned to the girl and said, "Alaska Myers, daughter of Khione as you can see. Pleased to meet you." She put her hand out for her to shake it.
Cameron walked into the mess hall, covered in cuts, and blood, not taking the effort and time to clean himself nor his armorial clean during the apocalypse. His blade however, remained spotless. You have to take care of the equipment that takes care of you. He waited in line, while he got his less than usual quality food, and looked for a place to sit, and saw nowhere but at a table occupied by two people. He walked over, and set his plate down. "May I sit here?"
Why you continue to torture yourself, I have no idea. Every single person knows at this point that they survive longer when they don't talk to you. You know at this point that you prefer your own company. So why in the hell do you continue going to crowded places, letting yourself be taking to like you're someone... shudder, nice. It confounds me... In complete honesty, I probably would have told myself to shut up if I had't been in present company. But then I probably would have been labelled insane as well as slightly evil. Yeah. I can do without that particular label. In reply to the girls first sentence, I shrugged and made a slight face. 'Yeah. Well I don't let jerks tell me to stop smoking. So if I don't take it or do what they tell me to, then I wouldn't expect you to... stop blowing bubbles or whatever.'
I watched in mild amusement at the girls antics. If it had been me I would have let it progress to a fight. Would have livened up the whole room. Wonder who would have won if it had been a fair fight. The girl doesn't strike me as a pushover I took another deep drag of my cigarette, and I savored the taste of the tobacco before blowing the smoke out in one big puff. The girl, now introduced as Alaska, Daughter of Khione (How ironic. Either her Father was very, very dumb, or he had no idea what the weather in Alaska was like... so dumb either way.) seemed to be waiting for me to answer. Obviously, any other day I would have simply let her wait and never replied. But it was a Zombie apocalypse, and there was a good chance I'd endup dead by the end of it. So being nice was probably in order. 'Rana... Jackson. Eris.'
Oh great, the teen squad had arrived. More people, just what I wanted- Not. I wonder would it look bad if I got up and left... snort. When have I ever cared about looking bad. The kid was carrying a plate of food, and I really felt like knocking the ash of my cigarette out into it. As in, I could imagine doing it. And that image was very amusing to me. Now now Rana, don't be mean. Snort. I waved my free hand at him and averted my eyes so as not to make eye contact. 'Whatever. Just don't sit down next to me, kid. You may live to regret that decision.'

Alaska smiled as she continued blowing bubbles. She didn't know why, but it was just fun to her. She had done it when she was little in Alaska. "Eris? Uh... I don't know what he's the god of. Sorry?" She said. Then a boy came and asked if he could sit with them. She originally was going to say, 'Uh Ii don't think so.', but since Rana had said don't sit next to me that means he was allowed to sit. Just not near her. Alaska took one look at the boy and cringed. "Ew." She scrunched up her nose. "Don't you ever shower?" She said looking at all the blood and cuts on him. She didn't mean to be mean or anything, but she quickly got up and went on the other side of Rana. She just couldn't look at blood and cuts. Alaska continued blowing bubble on the other side of Rana. Alaska then looked at the boy that was still frozen and trying to break free. She laughed in amusement seeing that he would never break free. It was too thick the ice. She had walked up to the boy, one of her hands in her pocket and the other on holding her bubbles. She took her hand out of her pocket, and blew a big, soapy bubble in his face. He coughed because part of the bubble went in his mouth. She smirked and went back to her spot next to Rana. She looked at the boy's food. It looked good for once considering all she had was energy bars and some candy incase she was desperate for something else to eat. she smirked again and looked at Rana hoping she'd get her plan.
"Normally I would, but you know, the zombie apocalypse and all kinda cuts down on the supply of warm water." Cameron took a bite of his pizza slice, and a sip of hi sweet tea. "So, these zombie things, anybody else find them annoying?" Cameron noticed one of the girls staring at his food, and asked "You want some? You know they have enough food to feed all of us right? You're looking at my food like a starved coyote." Cameron pulled his plate closer to him, and wrappeed his arms around it in a joking matter "Not the food, anything but the food!"
