Kylee was in one of those moods. The mood where anything and everything was within her grasp of both understanding an accomplishment. She could do anything, beat the largest opponent, or swim across the widest oceans. Surf tidal waves maybe, or just train. That's always the position the demigod found herself in.

Training.

The word had almost lost it's meaning to the going-on eighteen year old. She couldn't wait to get out into the world, and prove herself. Kylee's main goal for the days she spent at camp were to make sure that she did at least something, to make the work she put forth useful somehow. Yet, standing in the sun, baking her already tan skin, she felt the need to do more. More of something.

Her sword was strapped to her side as her ocean blue eyes scanned the heads in the arena, trying to find a worthy opponent. Sliding her hair in a mess of black hair, she decided against asking for someone to spar with her, the training dummies would work for now. Holding onto the hilt of her sword, she spun it, making a full circle.

The next few minutes were a complete waste to the experienced fighter. Dodging weak attacks by the wooden figures ahead of her, only to stab their straw filled stomachs within an easy swing of her arm. The girl glanced back at the row of beaten dummies, smirking with delight. If only monsters were really that easy.

Stepping back from her mess, Kylee did another few of her swordflips, becoming cockier with her attempts. She continued, going faster, until her fingers almost cramped up from the motion.The last of her tricks ended with her throwing it up in the air and catching it, the blade pointed at another demigod.

A N N A | M A Y | S H A U K || Z E U S

Anna Shauk was in a foul mood, which was probably what temped her to go practice at the arena.  She usually strayed away from the arena, as she was better with a bow and arrow, but she needed to practice with her sword just in case a monster was too close to defeat with her trusty arrows.  Thinking about her choice weapon she brought her right hand, the hand not gripping a sword, to her lightning bolt shaped necklace and remembered fighting her way to camp with nothing but her bow and a handful of arrows.  Thinking about it brought back terrifying, but exhilarating memories.  Memories so exhilarating that Anna could feel the electricity in her finger tips.

Anna hated the world that particular day for no reason, so any camper she met on the arena would most likely never talk to her again.  Half of them didn't talk to her again even if she was in a good mood.  Anna figured the ones that were trustworthy would stick around her, despite her rude demeanor.  Anna stopped practicing different techniques she had learned in her sword fighting class when she saw a girl hacking at the practice dummies.  There was something about that girl that made Anna drawn to her.  Was Anna impressed?  You can bet Zeus she was.

Thunder clapped, causing Anna to wince.  She though, Sorry, Dad.  I'll watch how I phrase my thoughts from now on.   She rolled her eyes as thunder clapped again.  Why did her father always have to be--- er, have to do that thunder clapping thing?  Anna approached one of the dummies that hadn't been hacked to death.  The dummies were easy to take down, and that was saying a lot coming from Anna, who was terrible at sword fighting.  If things didn't work out for her, she could always electrocute the monster, hoping it would end in a sizzling death.

Kylee watched the younger demigod's terrified reaction to the blade, as it backed up with wide green eyes. Simply lowering her weapon, she watched the kid sprint off, obviously frightened by the mistake of the daughter of Poseidon. Flicking a strand of her long black hair to the side, she turned to face her mess of training dummies once more.

Standing near one of the only remaining dummies, Kylee spotted another demigod messing with the wooden contraption. Crossing her arms, she positioned herself with one foot supporting more weight than the other. The girl seemed to be just starting with her current weapon, or very unfamiliar with it. Kylee simply chose to watch for a few moments before intervening.

After another few seconds, she couldn't help herself. "Stop, stop!" Kylee exclaimed, waving her hands in a halting motion. Jogging closer to the girl, she placed her hands on her hips. "You aren't going to do very well holding it like that" the demigod burst, narrowing her eyes. Kylee wasn't interested in offering the girl advice, no, she just wanted to make sure the other girl knew she was wrong.

A N N A | M A Y | S H A U K || Z E U S

Anna Shauk stopped after being interrupted by the Demigod she had been admiring a minute before.  She couldn't help but glare at her in a menacing way.  She heard a thunder clap, not big enough to belong to Zeus.  That had been her, she realized.  Gods, she was just like her father, sending lightning strikes down to the earth everytime she got angry with someone.

Anna's hand moved a little closer to her lightning bolt shaped necklace.  All she had to do if this got ugly was say it's name and it would spring to life in front of her.  That's why it was there, after all.  Anna was infuriated, even though she knew she sucked with a sword.  In a voice that sounded something a little like a growl, she said, "Excuse me?"

Anna May Shauk felt a hatred for this girl already.  It wasn't the kind of hatred someone got when coming face to face with Ares, no, it was something different.  She wasn't even sure if it was hatred.  Her hatred, or whatever it was, was mixed with admiration for the girl's swordsmanship and irritation because the girl had criticized her.

Kylee snorted at the girl's reply, flipping her sword in her finger tips once more. Daring to move forward, a sinister type of smirk was floating on her face. "I said, that you have a little bit of work to do," she boasted, displaying her grip on her sword. "Scratch that," she muttered, running a finger on the edge of her blade.

"... a lot"

Backing off from the girl, and sheathing her sword, Kylee let a small chuckle escape her lips. "Sheesh, I'd say you've never touched a weapon in your life," the demigod taunted, expecting an explosion from the girl once she was done.

Anna May Shauk was fuming.  Who did this demigod think she was, saying those things to a child of the sky god, Zeus.  Anna wanted nothing more than to blast the girl from the arena and go on with practicing her sword fighting skills, which she didn't need to be reminded, weren't all that good compared to her archery skills.

Anna Shauk sheathed her own sword and brought her hand to the lightning bolt shaped pendant on her chain necklace, reminding herself that her favorite weapon was only a word away. All she would have to do was call out its name, and her bow and arrow would spring to life in her hands. The demigod wouldn't stand a chance.

"Oh, really? Then you'd be wrong. A sword just isn't my weapon of choice," said Anna in a sinister enough sounding voice. She wasn't trying to sound sinister, but that's how her words came out.
