Sasha rubbed her eyes as she felt herself being shaken awake. Out of reflex, the daughter of Zeus panicked and grabbed onto the first thing she could find, the teenager who had been driving her's arm. Without thinking, Sasha nearly snapped the boy's wrist, but she settled back into her seductively playful personality when she realized she wasn't in any real danger. "I take you to this dump of a camp, just like you asked, and you almost break my arm?" Jonathan mumbled, rubbing the flesh on his arm that was quickly turning purple. "Just get out of my car before I drive off with you in it." Sasha rolled her eyes and hopped out of her fellow traitor's beaten up generic Lexus, making sure she had her sparkly black backpack before Jonathan drove off.
The had spent the last few months of her life in Kronos's Camp, trying to clear her head and get back to what she used to believe was important, but almost the entire duration of her stay, Sasha had been thinking of only one thing; Topher. When would she get to see Topher again? What was Topher doing at the moment? Was Topher okay? Did Topher still like her? Was Topher still cute? Topher Topher Topher? Of course, she had also been forced to report any information she had gathered on battles and defenses that Camp Half Blood had set up, but she hardly remembered her time at the titan camp being anything but time away from her new friend... with benefits? Not those kind of benefits, not yet at least, but there was something more to the boy that made Sasha miss him so much, and she liked to believe that part of it was the kissing.
Bounding up the hill, Sasha looked over the green grass, a smile on her face and her Victoria's Secret bag hanging limply from her shoulders. The camp had changed considerably since she had been there last, but it still felt so familiar. The demigod's eyes scanned the hilltop, looking for one boy in particular. She had called him for the first time since December just a few days ago, telling him she was coming back and when to expect her, and he had made it sound like he was going to be waiting for her. "Toph?" Sasha called, running a manicured hand through her styled curls. "Suuuperman?" Exhausted from her drive, and the speedy climb up the hill, Sasha leaned her back against a tree. Surely he was here somewhere. The boy was the girl's best friend. He had to have come. | |

Tick… tock… tick… tock… The sleek black Ventura watch clasped around Topher's wrist seemed to mock him throughout the day. Numerous times had he caught himself glancing at the time, checking if two o'clock was nearing. He couldn't help it. Today was the day he's been looking forward to for the past few days. Sasha was returning to Camp Half-Blood.
It's been a while since the daughter of Zeus had contacted him. He couldn't lie, Topher thought that she had lost interest during the span they haven't spoken. Although boys were supposed to make the first move, he couldn't quite bring himself to pick up his cellphone. He probably felt discouraged. After all, Sasha didn't reply to any of his voicemails following her departure in December. However, the call came whilst he was unpacking his suitcase from a brief trip to Australia to visit his family. The feelings that swirled in the pit of his stomach were overwhelming. He immediately thought that there was something wrong. Without hesitation, he picked up the phone. All ounces of grief and despair left the demigod when he heard Sasha's voice. They didn't talk for long; she had only mentioned that she would be coming back today and when she'd arrive. It had seemed she was in a rush, but Topher brushed off the thought. The call was short, but nevertheless, it still meant something.
Throughout the entire morning, Topher had been completely distracted. His thoughts circled around Sasha like they had for the previous months. They ranged from complex ones, like if she found somebody else wherever she went, to the simplest things, such as if she had a good night's sleep. He tried to get her off her mind. In fact, he attempted to go on a few dates with both demigods and mortals to keep the blue-eyed girl from occupying his thoughts. Naturally, they didn't work. Topher was smitten and everytime, he always found himself at square one thinking about Sasha.
"Get your mind out of the gutter and back to the textbook, Winchell!" an upperclassman who was supervising today's Ancient Greek class called, snapping the sixteen year old out of his temporary daydream. Topher's cobalt eyes trailed over to the half-blood, flushing in embarrassment, before he glanced back at the pages of his book, checking his wristwatch in the process. 1:49. Sasha was probably on her way already.
Topher got on his feet, looking at the room hesitantly. "Uhh, I need to go…" he raked his thoughts for a possible excuse. "Crap. I-I mean, yeah. I need to crap."
The upperclassman looked at him in disgust. "Nobody needs to know that kind of information, Winchell. Just go."
If it were possible, Topher's cheeks reddened. With a curt nod, he scrambled out of the room and began to make his way towards Half Blood Hill.
He began pacing back and forth, walking in circles around trees and shrubs. Runnings his fingers through his spiky chestnut brown hair, he wondered if he looked all right. Did his breath smell fine? Cupping his hand around his mouth region, he breathed on his palm and was relieved to catch the scent of his mint toothpaste mixed with the root beer he had during lunch. Should he run back to Cabin 2 to brush his teeth? Damn it. It's too late now. Let's hope that Sasha likes root beer.
It was while he was lazing tracing the pattern of a leaf when he noticed a car at the bottom of the hill. Topher hid behind a tree as he watched Sasha trudge up the hill. "Toph? Suuuperman?" The sound of her voice made Topher's heart leap in his chest. It didn't seem like months since he had last heard her voice.
Sasha's back was turned against him and he took this as an opportunity to creep towards her. He stalked carefully, so that nothing would crunch underneath his Nikes. Once he was right behind her, he snaked his arms around her waist. "Nice to see you again, batgirl." | |

sasha gasped upon feeling arms slither along her waist, but she fought the urge to break another limb when the arms spoke up. even if she hadn't been able to recognize the voice, which she had been able to do, and almost immediately thank you very much, the old nickname would have given it away. topher. he had actually come to meet her.
blushing and turning around in the boy's grip, sasha kissed topher without really thinking it over. if he had moved on, then oh well. people never really complained about kissing her, at least, not yet they hadn't. pulling away whilst smiling, sasha bounced happily, rubbing against topher slightly, too excited for her own good. "there you are," she commented, still smiling. wrapping her arms around the boy's neck, sasha pulled him in for a real hug, laughing as she did so. "aw, topher, i missed you." sasha felt guilty for saying that. she had left out of choice. her choice. the main purpose of her vacation in kronos's camp was to get away from the boy. she shouldn't have been able to honestly say she missed him, and yet, she did.
burying her face in topher's neck, sasha sighed, content to stand there, pressed against him, until her arms fell of and she could no longer hold herself so close. "how've you been, superman?" the daughter of zeus mumbled, although she was hardly audible, considering her face was still pressed into topher and all. moving her head back so she could speak, and resting her chin on the boy's chest, sasha smiled. "you look good." winking and laughing at herself, the girl retracted her arms and finally let go, doing her best to not fall completely in love with the boy she wanted to love so much. | |

He couldn't lie, Topher is taken aback when Sasha pressed her lips to his. His arms still wrapped around his waist, he finds himself eagerly kissing her back. The familiar taste of her lips eases him and all worries that plagued him slip away. It seems as if she had never left at all.
Chuckling at Sasha's excitement, he keeps his hands firmly on her waist. "Woah, there. Don't want to get both of us too excited," he teases with a wink.
"I missed you too," Topher says softly, rubbing circles on her back. He tries to ignore the fact that Sasha hasn't told him where she had went, but he can't stop the curiosity from nagging him. In good time, he reminds himself. She'll tell you when she can. Topher trusts Sasha to do so.
What if Sasha had found somebody else while she was away? The idea has been pestering him, but the kiss had settled that thought. Sasha's a good person. She definitely wouldn't hurt Topher. If she had another boy waiting, she would've cut all ties with him. But isn't that what she did?, a small voice in his head reminds him. She still came back for you, another tells him. At least he hopes she did.
"Great now that you're here," he replies. "I broke my arm while you were gone though. Pretty sure I would've liked it better if you were aiding me instead of that chubby Apollo kid," he teases.
He feels her smile against his chest. Has he changed during the duration of the months they haven't seen each other? Well, he has grown a few inches taller and the trainings at camp had been ten times more vigorous, so he's sporting more defined muscles. But other than that, Topher still thinks he looks the same as ever. The mischievous glint in his azure eyes and he still wears the same smile whenever he sees Sasha.
"Camp's been training us like hell." he shakes the back of his neck. "Y'know, with Kronos' troops growing stronger and stuff. Need to make sure I'm well trained if I want to live and beat some traitor demigod asses, right?" | |

Sasha bit her lip as Topher winked at her, fighting a smile and trying not too "excite" herself or the boy too much. She wasn't ready for that kind of attachment to someone, even if it was Topher Winchell and she really wanted it. Could you blame her? The sea boy was hot. "Aye aye, captain," she replied in rebuttal , shaking her head while she laughed at herself.
Sasha could tell something was bothering Topher, but she didn't want to ask what it was quite yet. She felt like she would end up ruining everything between them. (whatever the two shared, Sasha wanted it.) "To be honest, being away without my best friend was a total bore." Topher was not her boyfriend. She could not address him as such. Playfully tapping the boy on the nose, Sasha scrunched up her face and smiled.
"You broke your arm?" Sasha replied almost too quickly, and a little too nervously. "I mean—I'm sure the other guy looked much worse." The daughter of Zeus giggled and tossed her hair back over her shoulders. It had gotten longer since the winter, now reaching just below her boobs. "Why do I feel like you just want to see me in a nurse's outfit? Because my healing skills.. well... let's just say they would have to amputate your arm when I was done with you." That wasn't really true. They taught you how to heal quite well in Kronos's camp. She could be a war nurse if she wanted.
Sasha stared blankly at Topher before forcing a nervous smile and laughing half-heartedly. "Traitor demigod asses." Topher could never know. She couldn't let him ever know, and she could grow as close as she was letting herself grow. "They're still demigods, don't talk like that," Sasha whispered, before looking down and pressing herself against Topher. Her heart was beating loudly, but she knew how to lie, currently she was just doing a crap job of it. "I mean, they're just confused, don't you think? You'd have to be, to do something as stupid as train for The Lord of the Douches." Sasha's arms weakly wrapped around Topher's waist and she rocked slightly. All of a sudden, she felt so sad and ashamed and angry and defeated. But she couldn't show it. Just like always, she had to put on her Camp Half-Blood mask and fake happy. | |
