House parties frequented the the Dionysus cabin, so it was no surprise that one was being hosted tonight. It was the beginning of summer, old friends had returned from school, alive and everyone was a little fidgety for something to happen. Though, tonight they might not anticipate their adventure. This wasn't any normal house party, after all. Not just a meager welcome back.

Well, actually, it could be considered that. Logan had returned from his self-proclaimed "vacation," which more or less consisted of him frolicking around with the Titan lord Kronos and breaking demigod necks everywhere they went. If Logan had it his way, he wouldn't have returned to camp, but a mission was a mission--that's not to say he didn't fancy Dionysus parties, though. His dad threw down pretty hard. But the distaste he had for the gods was overwhelming, and had grown even fiercer in his absence from this breeding ground of heroes.

Heroes. The word rolled off Icho's tongue, even mentally, with immense spite. Logan had inquired about he and his clan's strength and abilities, before making an offer that really nobody could turn down. Honor, riches, a commanding spot in Kronos' army, a grant to live. And there was always the added bonus of crushing the human demigods into dust, like they so happily did to his brethren, and many other species that the mortals were so oblivious to. It was like, if the Gods didn't favor any of the other species, they were deemed monsters, and put on a bounty for their pathetic children to use for target practice. Disgusting. The treatment they received under the reign of Gods. Literally, the reason for their existence was to be punching bags for the children. Meanwhile these "monsters" had lives of their own: families, kids, tasks to uphold society, otherwise known as jobs (not the typical office job, mind you. More along the lines of kill food and bring it home for dinner, keep the kids from accidentally disintegrated themselves, bring home presents for the wives, etc.)

Ichos had had enough hiding, within the cavernous tunnels under the ground. He was tired of hiding his family, Gods forbid one of them wandered out into the real world and was spotted by that wretched Percy Jackson or his crew. Nobody had respect for the golems, so he had no respect for anybody else.

When Logan gave him the opportunity to sneak into camp and kills as many of the little fools as possible? Well, that was about the best news he'd heard the entire century. And the little brat had managed to weasel his way back into camp to attend the party. Hah! For as big and mighty as the gods acted, they had some very weak defenses. Trust, it seemed, was their downfall. All the demigod really needed to do was smile and wave, and throw around a few white lies to put together this shin-dig and gather half the camp into one location for some prime golem slaughter. And prime golem slaughter was something Ichos could oblige to very, very happily.

He waited on the outskirts of camp, shrouded by a mist that even demigods couldn't see through unless they were specifically looking for monsters, thanks to some of Kronos' recruited Hecate kids. He and a few other golems were standing around, pretending to be rock statues, until Logan summoned them within the camp's magical boundaries, where they could wreak havoc upon all.

And finally, the cue. Some pop country song began to flow out from giant stereos in Cabin 12. Ichos was familiar with the song, like he was with most of today's music. I Knew You Were Trouble by that mortal Taylor Swift, who had some strange addiction to breaking up with men and writing songs about it. Not Ichos' party choice, but hey, he wasn't complaining. He'd just crush the stereo when he got in.

Time passed and the moon rose, crickets chirping and toads croaking as the ambiance of night took over. He closed his eyes and sucked in a breath of crisp forest air through the tendrils of his nose, formed out of a rock-like substance that even Ichos wasn't particularly the name of. All he knew was that the rock was his skin, and layered across his hulking, 16 ton body.

Like Most golems, Ichos had a core torso, where most of his weight was centered, two arms, two limbs and a head. Each foot had two large toes, like that of a kangaroo but made of rock and would hurt a lot more to be kicked by, and five fingered hands. He had joints for bending each limb and a line of jagged spikes trailing down from the top of his head two his back. As an evolutionary hunting mechanism, Ichos' arms were ridiculous long, down to his knees so that he could just swing his fists down and smash everything into the ground. He also had jagged rock teeth, and though he couldn't talk, opening his mouth he could produce a gutteral roar that was capable of deafening people for a short amount of time. Permanently, even, if he was in your face. He was also capable of letting out a high pitched shriek capable of triggering intense headaches in those with sensitive ears. They didn'tcall him the sound golem for nothing, after all.

His mouth opened about eight feet wide just by itself, which would be useful if he was fond of eating demigods, and his fingers were about six feet long. Each. He had the strength to juggle elephants and if he cannonballed into the ocean he might just start a small tsunami on the nearest coastline. So yeah, Ichos was certainly a force to be reckoned with, and this demigods were in for a big surprise.

Like every living creature, Ichos had his weaknesses. His joints,where body parts connected, weren't as tough as the rest of his exterior. Whereas wooden spears might bounce off his rocky chest plate, an arrow might get lodged in the crick of his arm if the archer shot hard enough. And if someone managed to unhinge his jaw? Well, that's the end of him. Someone wedging a weapon into his jaw seemed unlikely enough, though. He was confident such a feat was impossible, especially since he was fourty feet high. What, where the kids gonna go rock climbing? Not if he had anything to say about that.

After several minutes of surveying his strengths and weaknesses, a black light seeped up from the ground and carved a spiral, blinking with light. That was the portal, and Ichos was more than eager to get in. He pushed his golem comrades, Ignacious and Wei out of the way, before diving in, popping up inside the camp barriers just a few yards away from the Dionysus cabin, adorned with glow sticks and a red cup lawn. He let out a battle cry, his blood curdling growl piercing easily through the rest of the night's sound, drowning out the music. Then, with several long strides, he stomped towards the structure, arms raised and hands balled into fists. In one fluid movement, he threw his body forward, slamming down onto the roof and collapsing nearly half of it, tiles and vines crumbling to the ground and opening up the inside.

Hello demigods. Here comes Ichos.

Jace Howards- Son of Dionysus

Jace sat behind one of the speakers, listening to the thump of the fast beating song. Campers were cheering and yelling, and yet, here Jace sat, sharpining his sword, Kpaoi. He loved parties, and could throw a mean one back at home. But he just couldn't tonight. Not what happened with Nathan and Ethan. They partied with Jace every time, and without them here, it didn't feel like a party at all. Twilight was fading fast upon the camp as shadows got longer and the lights got dimmer. Why they were celebrating, Jace didn't know. He had danced for a couple songs, and he had to admit, he was pretty good. But he stopped once more and more people came, he just wasn't into it as he used to.

And then he heard a roar. It wasn't like any roar Jace had heard in a song, and it certainly didn't come from one of the campers. The hair on the back of his neck stood on end, and Jace Howards got up, surveying the camp before him. Nothing at the moment seemed wrong, so why was he freaking out?

Finally something happened that Jace couldn't explain. A building in the distance had collapsed under giant rocky arms, vines and tiles spraying from it like a tsunami. Now Jace stood up. He wondered if he should alert any of the other campers. No, they should have noticed. Others would come and help Jace fight whatever had invaded their camp. Jace Howards ran like the wind to the now crumbled building, Kapoi in hand. A ginormous rocky monster stood in front of him.

"Aren't you a little big to be picking on little kids, buddy? Why don't you go pick on someone your own size, huh?" Taunted Jace.

	“Don't reveal all your secrets: they might just be your salvation.”	party battle? or battle party? Sooki had been sitting outside the cabin, behind a barrel of wine that was right beside the door for some quiet. There could have been wine in it, or it could've been there for show. Sooki had been curious about it, but that certainly wasn't the way she wanted to find out. The that being the exploding of the barrel as a giant roaring golem charged its way out of a dark spiralling portal and into the roof of the Dionysus cabin. She had dodged out of the way in time, before the splintering wood hit her, but she still got a huge splash of the liquid - which thankfully wasn't wine. Her eyes widened. Oh wow, this isn't good. She had seconds before that section of the roof fell on her. Ducking under a twisted draping grapevine, Sooki slipped into the cabin through the window behind her -the only way she could go- just as the side of the roof slid off. The inside of the cabin was chaos. A huge stone golem was towering over the shattered remains of the roof. She already had her hand under her dripping wet sleeve, reaching for her hidden Tantō - but what could such a tiny blade do to such an enormous beat? Ugh I really need to get a longer weapon, a sword at least. Sweeping her eyes across the cabin, she spotted a few demigods who were not injured too badly. One was even challenging the brute. But he was a mere ant compared to the monster, they all were. Sooki took another look at the colossal golem, and a sense of hopelessness began to fill her. This is one battle she might not win.

Everything was going accordingly. Wei and Ignacia had followed foot, Wei coming in with a crash and ripping up some of the sparkly dance floor as well as a few left footed campers that got tossed away in the destruction. Ichos himself got tripped up too, wavering on his stone legs and unintentionally swinging his arm forward to hold himself up. His palm pounded into one of the walls as he fell to hands and knees, finger narrowly avoiding crushing some curly haired boy who seemed to be throwing taunts at him with a sword in hand. Ichos craned his tiny neck forward, not that it did much good, and gave out an ear-shattering roar, his special ability as the sound giant that was more than capable of causing a temporary deafness, and a headache that even advil couldn't even save you from. Not to mention the obnoxious ringing it left in his victim's ears.

He hissed out an irritated, "Shut up!" as well, spitting some tar at the impudent boy. Demigods. Even under attack, instead of hide their young they'd rather insult and go in for the kill. That was the difference between the human race and the rest of the animal kingdom--they believed themselves to be top tier. Immortals with a permanent place in this world, and others should cower in their might. Disgusting creatures. He'd join his brothers and sisters in death shortly.

But Ichos was here to protect his family. He was here to get rid of those who terrorized their peace. For Kronos, he'd stand.

And standing is just what he did. After the quaking ceased, Ichos shook his head and rose to his feet, looming over what little remained of the building. He peered down at the scene before him, glowering with hate in his beady eyes. Worthless, the lot of them. Better off dead.

Another girl seemed to be loitering around, though hesitant to do much of anything. Wow, way to not help pick debris off your dying friends or clear out the wounded. Instead you stand their, quaking in your boots.

Hah, quaking. Quite literally, with the lovely Wei around. Shake it up, baby.

Rather than giving her time to move about, he balled his hand into a fist and arched his back, slamming down once more, this time into the long, clothed white table, that snapped under the weight and sent fruit punch and red solo cups flying through the air. He let out a bellowing laughter. "Surrender or parish!"

Jace Howards- Son of Dionysus

Wow, this monster doesn't really have any good comebacks, does he? Thought Jace, as the rocky monster roared his deafening scream. Literally. There was a persistent ringing in both of his ears, and he couldn't hear a thing. Not only that, but Jace was also drenched in tar, courtesy of yours truly. His face turned a dark purple color just like his fathers when he was angry.

"THAT OUTFIT WAS $500 YOU IDIOT!" Jace yelled at the top of his lugs, trying to wipe off the tar, but it was no use, it just smeared all over and got on his hands. He grabbed Kapoi, which had fallen on the now black and crushed ground, and charged at the monster. He didn't know how to kill a big rock monster, that was for sure. But he also knew that he wouldn't give up until he or somebody else did. Jace would protect this camp with his life, and the people in it. Even he died in the process, Jace knew it was worth it for the well being of the camp. He stabbed the monster's big toe, but his sword just bounced off and did no damage. He went flying with Kapoi, and hit the ground hard, but not hard enough to knock the wind out of him.

Jace turned his head, seeing if any campers had come to his aid. This girl was standing off to the side, pondering whether or not to help him. The answer was obvious, wasn't it? "Hey! Don't just stand there!" Jace yelled at the girl. "Can't you see there's this big monster attacking camp?! Come and help me!"

Then the monster smashed a table, sending cups and punch everywhere. As Jace dodged the plastic cups, he reminded himself of a song.

Red Solo Cup, he sang inside his head.

You fill me up!

Then another large yell from the monster, but this time it was more of a laughter. Jace shook his head, the ringing in his ears subsiding. This dude needs to defiantly get better comebacks if he wants to be scary and intimidating.

Benjamin Salinas

"Well, this is a surprise."

Benjamin truly wasn't one for parties, or socialization in general. He always thought his misanthropy would prevent him from being even merely part of a chatty social circle. But there he was, proving himself wrong as he was all primmed up with his trusty garbage picker/pole-axe in hand, ready to hit the dance floor.
Expect, there was a problem. There was literally no dance floor, or conscious party folk at all. What he was greeted with was once a wine god's perfectly stable cabin into piles of rubble scattered around the area. The roof had sunk in, which was caused by what he obviously assumed were the gigantic golems running around and causing havoc. But Benjamin decided to focus on the one specifically drooling tar out of his mouth.

"Is this the main attraction, I presume?" He quietly retorted to himself, cautiously walking inside and examining the situation. A boy had already had his sword in hand, and looked as if he was already hit hard to the ground by the monster. He yelled promptly at the girl, demanding for her aid.
The girl in the other hand looked unsure about her chances of winning, and who wouldn't be with a small blade like that?
But he wasn't one to talk, as he only had a pole-axe in hand. Judging by the characteristics of the golem, striking it with an axe isn't going to do any damage to it alone.

Whoever let these monsters must have been one of Kronos' pets, and judging by the fact it was targeted specifically at the Dionysus cabin party, then it must have been a misbehaving child of the wine god's.
Whoever this person was, Benjamin had silently given props to him for coming up with such a fantastic idea.
At least now these demigods will have a sense of reality when they witness what real monsters are outside these camp borders.
He was indeed, truly excited for this event.

Benjamin watched as the golem had smashed a measly table to pieces, sending punch and red cups around his direction. Before one were to hit him straight at the face, he quickly grabbed his garbage picker and catched it.
Releasing the plastic red cup, his weapon glowed with a golden color and began transforming into a five feet tall poleaxe, the large axe-head gleaming with it's bronze color. With his hands both grasping on the handle, he was prepared to strike at the perfect moment of time.
Benjamin calculated critically in his head, examining the golem for weaknesses.

This was going to be one hell of a party, he thought to himself as his mouth curled into a smirk.

It was most probably what got dozens of campers killed. She valued honourable fighting, but there was a large difference between taking a measured risk and offering yourself up to be the next sacrifice for Kronos. It was obvious none of their bronze could stand multiple hits of the rock armour that covered the golem. Worse, the golem seemed to be a sound golem. It had let out an ear-splitting roar just seconds earlier, temporarily deafening the daughter of Hypnos. She shook her head to clear her hearing, though knowing it wouldn't do much good. Sooki had fought on mountain high ravines blindfolded before, relying only on her senses and hearing to win the fights. But now it was an almost alien experience. Losing her hearing also threw off her sense of balance. The camper in the room seemed like he was saying something, but Sooki was not in the mood to lip-read him. Just then, the golem smashed its fist into the table, splintering the wood and splitting the entire thing into half. Cups and juice flew into the air. Sooki flicked a flying cup to the side with her Japanese knife, but kept her eyes on the golem. It certainly isn't invincible. The trick is to find the chinks in its armour. And then it struck her, this time not just as a figure of speech. Its armour wasn't entirely impregnable. It was a slight chance they had, but it was a chance. Sooki dropped her Tantō into her boot. It wasn't a throwing weapon. And instead, slid out a throwing knife from under her jacket as she felt her hearing partially return. With practiced flow, she threw it, aiming for the golem's hand. But before the it had left her hand, the second knife was already airborne, whistling through the air towards the gap in its knee joint. She wasn't too worried that she couldn't retrieve her weapons. The first was meant as a distraction, and the second was sturdy and made of gold. She generally and one or two at her disposal to distract her opponent in battle before whipping out her regular celestial bronze ones to finish the job off. Now the roles of the metals were switched. Gold was useless in a normal fight, and definitely would bend out of shape if dealing with such a monster, but it would certainly serve well in jamming up something. Sooki did not expect to miss, unless the golem reacted too quickly. She was highly skilled in the art of throwing, after spending countless hours practicing thousands of throws over and over. Squinting through the dust clogging the air, a wild thought hit her. Her eyes flashed with a challenge. Can I ride that thing?

Beth's eyes shot open, at the sound of the roar. Only a few minutes earlier she had lay down to sleep, and now was jumping out of bed, grabbed her ring and her spellbook. Damn it roar, can't I sleep. She ran out of her cabin, pj's still on, and saw the giant thing. She cursed, and willed her ring into the staff, and sprined toward the Dionysus cabin where the thing was attacking, and saw unconscious strewn around the floor, and three ready, and in fighting position. Beth stepped back, muttered a spell, and whipped her staff around, launching a fireball at the things face. I Hit, burst, and did nothing. Beth cursed, and pulled her spellbook from her pocket, and flipped through looking for some idea that could take it down.

He had just been observing the the demigod with the Tantō blade when she put it back into her boot to pull out a throwing knife from her jacket. In a split moment, another one had just been airborne. Two of them, both targeted towards the its hand and its knee cap.
Benjamin knew where she was going. Finding the small cracks and weak points in its rock armor was just enough to get the beast onto its knees. Arrows and throwing knives will do just the trick, but he just couldn't risk ramming his pole-axe against the creature.

He was somewhat useless in a fight such as this... unless of course the others upheld a distraction for him, and when they actually do find a the beast's real weak spot. Of course, it may be riddled with tiny cracks and chinks in its rough exterior, but it would never kill that golem off before he and his other buddies run over and wreck havoc around camp.
He and the others must come up with a sort of plan to work this out. If they can find the weakest spot, then they can go about to plan out how to exactly kill it off. Maybe then, they can scrap off their scabs and live to see the day they make babies.

As Benjamin was about to approach the girl with his motives, another camper had appeared right behind him. In a measly attempt to harm the beast in anyway, she had pull out her wand and began to launch a fireball right at it.
Of course, that did absolutely nothing.
Benjamin turned over to her, giving her a chagrined look in his face.
"C'mon! Even Pokemon has better sense then you do! Fire type moves are not impervious to rock types!" He rolled his eyes at her in immense frustration.

What... the... hell?
Sometimes, it takes your mind a few moments to work out what the hell is going on. Sometimes, you need to think it through for a couple seconds just to realize what your seeing is actually real. What I was seeing did not look real, and it took a while for me to actually accept what exactly I was seeing.
Two boys, two girls, standing against the monster which had come with two friends too the Dionysus party.
Little chance that all they really wanted to do was party, huh?

I myself had been attending the party, but had left after only a few songs. Not really my sort of scene. It had been on my way back to the Hera Cabin I'd heard it, the roar of this same monster. So, naturally, instead of doing what a normal, sane person would do and going back to the Cabin too sleep my final hours away, I'd turned on my heel and ran back, only to see this. Where was everyone else? Didn't anyone else even care that the Dionysus Cabin was sort of... being destroyed? And that there was probably gonna be casualties?
Looking like its just us few. We lucky few.

I wasn't as near to the monster as the others were, so, tapping my bracelet which was always there on my wrist, I edged closer to a pink haired girl with a wand, just in time too see her throwing a fireball straight at the monster.
Ha. Fire. Now this is my type of scene...
"C'mon! Even Pokemon has better sense then you do! Fire type moves are not impervious to rock types!"
... or not.
'So what exactly do you propose, Pokemon Trainer?! I'm thinking that any sort of attack we can throw at it would be sort of welcome right now!' I raised an eyebrow at the kid and turned back to face the monster.
Not a good idea to look away now, is it? Thirty something foot monster by the looks of it. You could be stepped on in an instant and be nothing but a little smush on the ground.
'And what exactly are you supposed to be? Some Orc or something?'
And taunting it is probably a bad idea too.

Jace Howards- Son of Dionysus

"Well whatever it is," Jace nearly shouted to a girl a few feet away from him. "It sure didn't come to party!" He didn't regret stepping into fight now. He had other comrades from various cabins helping him. The girl that he had yelled at earlier was now fighting equally as vicious as the rest of them. He knew that they were going to win this. They had to.

Jace turned on his heel and spun around to the back of the rocky monster. He remembered when his mother and step-father went skiing on the rocky mountains. The golem looked just like that, minus the snow and man made paths. He didn't care about other peoples plans, he wanted to just kill whatever this was so he could go to sleep in his now broken cabin. That was another reason why he fought, no one messed with his fathers cabin except him.

Jace acted on impulse and jumped on the monsters rocky backside. He took hold of the jagged edges of the many grey plates and held on for dear life. This was one of the many times he wished he was a Hecatonchires, so that 99 arms could hold on, and one could wield his sword. Just has Jace had grabbed Kpaoi from his sheathe, he was knocked backwards off the monsters back. Why? Jace didn't know. He tumbled to the ground, coughing and spitting dirt and grass everywhere.

"Aw come on, dude! Can't you just let me look for your weak spot without you trying to kill me?" Jace said, getting back up with his golden sword he had. He ran and chopped at the golems heel, but it just made a horrible sound. Jace didn't fly back this time. "Don't you ever die?" Jace cried out, exasperated.

"...I wasn't talking to you?" Benjamin turned over to another girl that had just arrived, raising an eyebrow.
"Unless of course you were thinking on doing the same thing, then yes, it would be quite ineffective."
He turned his focus back over to the golem, and the other boy without thought who had furiously charged at him and began to climb on it's back.
Of course, that's wasn't going to work at all, so he was knocked off its body and sent to the ground. Benjamin only hoped that these people knew what they were doing, and so far he wasn't very impressive.
Shaking his head, he began approaching it ever so slightly just to take a look at its features. It was like like a pile of rock formed into one, and he could clearly see the cracks on its rocky skin and its gigantic mouth oozing out pits of tar on the floor. Benjamin knew that this walking rock had no insides in its body, and judging by its mouth, it was indeed a shouter.

Travelling around the world in search of life's mysteries and all, he had encountered a few golems in his past, but only slain its children. Of course, now he knew when to attack and contained himself from going on a rampaging killing spree.
These kids however, are going to be stuck in a tiny isolated camp for most of their lives until they age past 18, or go on occasional quests. They don't know what it's like to be a monster, always being the target of the god-indoctrinated demigod children. Themselves.
They are the ones who beat the monsters, and the monsters are only really their punching bags. It goes to show who really is the beast here, doesn't it?

But as always, it was game of survival. If they don't kill these beasts in time, then they will sure kill off the rest of the children.
