~ Avery Hastings ~

Avery walked into the newly-vamped library pleased with the work his cabin had done. Wearing pajama bottoms and a black hoodie, he smiled lightly as he walked to the fiction section of the shelves and pulled out a book, Paper Towns By John Green. Other than his newest novel, it was the only book Avery had not read by the Author.
Avery grabbed a mug of hot cocoa as well as a few of the festive cookies he had helped bake, and sat down. He munched on the cookie while cracking open the first page of the book, the fireplace crackling lightly, keeping his body warm as he read. The library had a few people in it, but was for the most part empty. It was so quiet, you could hear a pencil drop.
And that is why Avery jumped, when a something did drop.
