Oh hell to the no -finger snap-

Trigger jokes aren't funny. They should not be even considered 'jokes' because they're rude and ignorant. 

So there's this girl, her name shall remain a secret. She keeps on going on and on about the rape jokes and 'emo' jokes. No, just no. She finds them funny, but nobody else does. In fact, I know someone in our class who cuts and has to listen to her make fun of cutters and people who have been raped. But worst thing is that when I tell her it's not appropriate, she says "OH I'm sorry, I didn't know you were my mother!" and whenever she says something and she hears that, she taunts me about it.

"Oh, did I offend someone, mommy?"

"Are you going to punish me, mommy?" 

And "I'm a big girl now. You don't need to tell me what to do."

A 'big girl' knows not to pull rape jokes. A 'big girl' knows not to make fun of people who cut. A 'big girl' doesn't act like a little bword when someone tells you FORMALLY and POLITELY that you should stop because it's not appropriate and it's making people uncomfortable.

I know what you mean Cher. Some people just have the nerve to say things like that, and don't understand what they are saying, and how much it hurts people. They get on my nerves too, trust me.

One time this girl told me to go and kill myself.

The next day I didn't come to school.

Wow, and you guys are so young.... My grade doesn't tell jokes like this, but we're all secretly a bunch of babies. I'm convinced.

Since it bothers you, I would definitely take Zan's advice and tell an authority figure.
