Shopping, Shopping...Did I Mention Shopping? (Cam & Shan)

A couple of Hermes kids were standing in the store, talking.
As soon as they saw me, they smiled and beckoned me over.
'Kendra! How's the Hecate cabin? What are you doing here? I could hook ya up with a nice prank,' one of them rushed, and I recognized her as Millie, one of the girls who I had talked to in my brief stay at the Hermes cabin.
Johanna gave her a dirty look, and smiled at me.
'Nah. You don't want any pranks do you? You're here for some good old fashioned shopping.'
I smiled slightly, keeping my head down, and said quietly.
'I just need a few things. Tops. Arrow heads. Pencils.'
They looked at each other, gave a knowing smile, and turned, walking away.
'Sure Kendra. Come see us when you're done,' Johanna called over her shoulder.
I shook my head and walked around, looking for the pencils first. Hermes kids. Always thinking that everyone wanted pranks.

I was working in the Camp Store today, good thing I signed up for it, there weren't many campers in here though, but it was fun I guess. I might be an introvert, but I'm not anti-social! I just prefer not to talk to people. Anyway, I was behind the counter, sitting, waiting for someone to come near the counter. Few minutes later, a kid, probably a new camper, bought a new shirt right here, it probably got dirty or something. I was just listening to my iPod when I saw Kendra, looking for something. "Hey Kendra, what are you looking for?" good thing she was near the counter.

I looked up, startled, holding a few pencils, but I saw who it was.
'Hey Ara. Just a few things. You know,' I smiled, and put back about half, and put another half into the small little basket that I had borrowed.
Looking around, I saw some of the Camp Tees, and walked over.
'So. Are you working here today?' I asked absentmindly, picking up one that looked my size.
It wasn't, and I sighed, putting it down.
'Wait. Sorry. You obviously are working. Or you wouldn't be sitting behind the counter,' I laughed, and walked over to said counter.

I laughed at that one. "Yeah, I signed up for it you know, Anyway, do you like to get one of those shirts or something?" Yeah, I can talk to people, I'm just not good at it, but ever since this job, I've been getting better. Now my song just switched to One Direction, I LOVE them. "Hey, do you need any help or something?"

I smiled.
'I'm fine. Since getting here, I've been in about sixty times. Lava and fighting don't do much for keeping clothes all nice.'
On the counter, there were some small little bits and bobs. A Pegasus with a wobbly head. A little centaur thing that actually ran. I reached for a tiny little Medusa statue.
Just as my fingers brushed it, images flashed before my eyes.

She ran. It was behind her, and it was going to win. That much was clear.
The girl screamed, and I realized who it was. Buffy.
'Buffy! Its a dream!' I tried to shout, but there was no sound.
She looked over her shoulder, and that was her mistake. Tripping, I could see she was crying.
'Please. Please Gods, help me,' she half-screamed, half-sobbed.
Then the hell-hound was there. Unusually large, and terribly vicious, I could almost hear its thoughts as it growled.
Then it lunged, and my final scream shattered the vision.

Blinking, I came back.
'I-I'm sorry Ara. I must have blinked out for a minute,' I stuttered, trying to smile, but thinking about what I saw.

"So, do you want the the figurine or not?" I was waiting for Kendra's answer, but she looked like she was spacing out a bit "Um, Kendra? Hello?" After a few seconds she finally noticed I was talking to her, I wonder what happened to her, "Uh Kendra? are you alright? You were spacing out." She apologized after I said that. "So... are you alright now?"

I nodded, a crease forming between my eyes.
Buffy. It was just a daydream. But something....some part of me had already worked out that this was no dream. The images were real. Something was gonna hurt Buffy...a hell-hound, and I needed to find her before it did.
'Ara. This whole story is gonna make you think I'm loony bin material, but please. Hear me out,' I continued to tell her my whole vision, and how it seemed set in the forest.
'So you see, I need to find her. There's something telling me I'm right, and I really need to get Buffy, and save her before this...hell-hound gets her.'
I watched to see her reaction, breathing fast, because any moment, Buffy could be dead.

"Okay, I believe you. I know you have visions from time to time. And no, I don't think you're loony material." but after she told me the whole vision, she told me she had to rescue Buffy before she could get attacked or something "Then let me come with you, and first of all, when will the vision happen?" of course it's important, what if it's going to be tonight or next week? Anyway I waited for her answer.

'I don't know! It looked like today, but it could be anytime!' I said, kinda loud.
Johanna and Millie looked over, smiling horribly.
'We need to find her though. If its not gonna happen today, then we can still warn her.'
Putting down the little Medusa, I put the basket on the counter and started to walk away.
'I'll find her if no-one else will,' I said lightly over my shoulder.

"No, not the exact time, as in day or night? and come back here ok, let's talk about it with her here, I can't leave my post." Wow, I am really following the rules here right now, Anyway, I wonder when it will happen, And I'm hoping that we could stop it.

'Mid-day by the look of the sky,' I replied, and despite myself, I walked back.
I thought about where Buffy would be right now. Maybe training. Or playing with Keno. Or being eaten by a giant hell-hound.

"Okay, what are you standing here for?! It could be mid-day by now! Go get her!" man I hope Buffy is okay, she wasn't a close friend, but she was Kendra's friend, and this camp's my family. And I'm thinking about awkward thoughts right now.
