Jesse was having a hard time thinking, which was different for him. He was used to being able to... think.
"What's wrong with me... I'm such an idiot..." Jesse says to himself, even though he knows it's not true. Jesse is very smart. He flips a page in the book he was reading. Animal Farm. It was about the Russian Revolution, clearly. But, it bored Jesse because this was the second time he was reading it.
"I can't read this right now..." He said, putting a bookmark in and then leaning his head back, hoping no one from his cabin saw. If someone from cabin 7 saw him, Jesse's hole reputation would be down the toilet. And probably his head, too.
It's her. It's that Athena girl, Liv. He thought. It was her, that's what was making him so... different. A girl.

Jesse looked up.
"Oh, yea. I'm fine. Just... nothing..." He said to her.
"It's um, nice to meet you, Bella. I'm Jesse, Jesse Davidson. And no, it's not a girls name."
Jesse wanted to make sure that she didn't think his name was a girls name. Jesse with an 'ie' made it a girls' name. No, his name just had an 'e' at the end. There was nothing girly about it.

"Well..." Jesse thought. Should he tell her? Jesse barley even knew this girl. He took a deep breath, and could smell all of the must old books.
"It's this girl, Liv. You know her?" Jesse asked.

Jesse shrugged. "Nothing I can do, really. What would I do...?" He told Bella.
Well, I could ask her out. But she'd probably say no. I don't even know her that well. Jesse thought to himself.

"The story of Romeo and Juliet. Course I know it. Romeo fell in love with Juliet after he broke up with Rosalyn. When Juliet went home, her Nurse told her that Romeo was a Montague. But, Juliet loved Romeo anyway. The got married, but then Romeo was banished because of the death of Tybalt, Juliet's cousin. Juliet, then, drank a potion that made it seem she was dead. Romeo was suppose to come and take her back with him, but the message never got to Romeo, so he thought that Juliet was dead. Romeo poisoned himself, and then Juliet woke up. She killed herself with Romeo's knife."
Jesse rambled on the story of Romeo and Juliet. He had red in in sixth grade, and didn't really like the story-it was to sad for him.
"I'm pretty sure I don't want to end up dead, if that's what you mean."
Quickly, Jesse looked around. He hoped that none of his half-brothers were around to see him babble. If they did, he'd be the laughing stock of the cabin. Either that, or they'd congratulate him for knowing a great play. Either way, he didn't want them to find out.

After all, Jesse had only seen Liv a few times. Once at the spring ball and once at the volleyball pit, where they played a single game. But, Jesse was already in love. He liked the way her hair blew in the breeze, and how when she smiled, she had little dimples.
"No, she doesn't like me. Trust me, I speak girl."
Jesse regretted saying this, because he realized he was talking to a girl.

"Listen..." Jesse said, looking around quickly. "Do you think if I told you who Liv is, then I dunno, could you find out if she likes me or not...?"
Jesse had done this with his brother a lot. When he liked a girl, he would send Jake out to see if the girl liked him too, or not.

"Sure, " she said. Who's lov she thought. Well obviously his crush but who? It could be under her nose. It could be as far as a mountain she thought. She looked around slowly.

"You're probably wondering who she is. She's a daughter of athena. Blonde hair, blue eyes...tan skin...smart..." Jesse began rambling.
"Oh, sorry. Didn't mean to ramble. But, she's a daughter of Athena. Ask for Liv."
Jesse looks out the window, and thinks about where Liv was right then.

"Okay, fine. I'll go with you." Jesse grumbles, getting up.

"Good boy," she said rubbing his head like he was a dog. She gave a come on
Gesture. Then started to walk toward the Athena cabin. She twirled and tried to make the walk fun.
